Provided is a closure device for the releasable connecting of two parts to each other including a first closure part, having a first base body, at least two first engaging sections formed on the first base body, spaced apart from each other along a loading direction and forming between them a gap, and at least one first magnetic section arranged on the first base body, and a second closure part, having a second base body, at least one second engaging section formed on the second base body, and at least one second magnetic section arranged on the second base body.

A system and method of selectively connecting at least two articles of clothing is provided. First and second articles, which may comprise a glove and jacket sleeve or cuff, have mating geometries and at least one fastener to securely and selectively connect the two articles. In certain embodiments, magnets are provided as fasteners to connect the articles. For example, in certain embodiments, a method and system is provided that comprises features adapted to allow connection of an accessory (e.g. ski glove) to a portion of another article (e.g. jacket).

A magnetic anchoring device for securing an object onto a ferromagnetic object or support structure. The magnetic anchoring device includes a flexible member having a first end, an opposite second end, a front surface, and an opposite rear surface, the first end, the second end, the front surface, and the rear surface defining an open interior, a first magnet positioned within the open interior of the flexible member and proximate the first end, and a second magnet positioned within the open interior of the flexible member and proximate the second end. The upper garment has a front which is vertically separated from the rear at one side of the garment. A plurality of front and rear magnets are embedded in corresponding locations in the free edges along the vertical separation to effect closure of the garment and retention of the garment on the user.
