Adjustable piston
Techniques and devices for extending a piston, for example connected to a medical device such as a mechanical CPR device, to accommodate different sized patients, are described herein. In some cases, a piston of a mechanical CPR device may include an inner piston at least partially slidable into an external piston sleeve. In one aspect, an external piston spacer may be attached to an outward surface of the inner piston to extend the length of the piston. In another aspect an internal bayonet sleeve may contact one or more locking rods at various positions, enabling adjustment of the length of the inner piston. In yet another aspect, a piston adapter may be removably attached to the end of the piston. In all aspects, the change in length of the piston may be detected and used to modify movement of the piston, for example to more safely perform mechanical CPR.
Modular sexual assistance apparatus
The modular sexual assistance apparatus includes a secure structure (A) able to support a user. The secure structure (A) includes a carriage (12) arranged on a linear guide and mounted on a pedestal (8). The linear guide includes a safety device which is suitable for controlling a linear travel of the carriage (12). The linear guide includes a system for slaving by an elastic cable (30). It includes a stopper ball (33) and is suitable for entering both a locking catch (32) secured to the pedestal (8) and a ring (31) secured to the carriage (12). A tensed state of the elastic cable (30) is defined both by a movement of the stopper ball (33) along the pedestal (8) and by a clamped state of the elastic cable (30) in the locking catch (32).
SENSING CONTROL METHOD AND APPARATUS
The invention provides a sensing control method and apparatus, and a vibration massage apparatus. The method includes: arranging a sensor which senses a trajectory of an external object, and controlling the change of output based on the direction of the trajectory. With the invention, a desirable control effect can be obtained based on the sensed direction of the trajectory of the external object without accurate positioning of the sensor. Not only the convenience of the sensing operation can be improved significantly, but also the control accuracy can be improved; meanwhile, the invention can be well applied to any device for control using several input control signals or variable input control signals for control, thus having a wide range of application and significantly optimizing user experience.
PERCUSSIVE MASSAGE DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
A percussive massage device that includes a housing, an electrical source, a motor positioned in the housing, a switch for activating the motor, and a push rod assembly operatively connected to the motor and configured to reciprocate in response to activation of the motor. The housing includes first, second and third handle portions that cooperate to define a handle opening, wherein the first handle portion defines a first axis, the second handle portion defines a second axis and the third handle portion defines a third axis, and wherein the first, second and third axes cooperate to form a triangle.
Mobility Training Apparatus
Mobility training apparatus 1 having a training means 2 for training muscles M and muscle fascia of the human body, wherein the training means 2 comprises at least one elongated training body 21, and is automatically movable up and down in a guide 3 by a drive in the vertical direction.
APPARATUS TO AID WALKING
An apparatus 1 to aid walking, the apparatus 1 comprising a base unit 3, housing a motor; and further comprising first and second horizontally orientated foot supports 6,7, mounted for back and forth parallel motion relative to the base unit 3; the foot supports 6,7 each being operably connected to the motor; a foot support comprising a plurality of planar members 5, including a base plate 41, an intermediate plate 44 and a foot plate 45 having an upper surface to receive a user's foot, the intermediate plate 44 being pivotally linked at a first end to the base plate 41 and at a second end to the foot plate.
DEVICE FOR SPINE REHABILITATION AND METHOD OF SPINE REHABILITATION USING SAID DEVICE FOR SPINE REHABILITATION
A device for spine rehabilitation comprising a support frame, immovable crossbars, movable crossbars, and a holder and systems of actuators supporting a patient's head, shoulders, hip, knees, and feet , characterised in that it is equipped with linear actuators (8) mounted to the holder (7) supporting the patient's head and shoulders, whereby the holder (7) has a driving mechanism (9) situated horizontally and mounted to an immovable crossbar (6) of the support frame (1) and in its lower part is rotationally mounted, at the rotation point (10) of the holder, to the immovable crossbar (6). A method for spine rehabilitation using the device for lateral deviation of the patient's torso, whereby the patient's body situated horizontally, face up, is lifted on eight sling hangers taking hold of his/her head and his/her back in the points of shoulder girdle and pelvis girdle.
MASSAGE DEVICE HAVING SOUND OUTPUT MODULE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
Provided herein is a massage device having a sound output module. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, there is provided a sound output module including a sound generating part configured to generate sound, a sound emitting member configured to emit transmitted sound to the outside, an actuator configured to provide a driving force to allow movement of the sound emitting member, and an external driven member configured to receive the driving force from the actuator and move linearly, wherein the sound emitting member is seated on the external driven member and allowed to protrude outward due to linear movement of the external driven member. There is also provided a massage device including the sound output module.
Orthosis Systems and Rehabilitation of Impaired Body Parts
Rehabilitating an impaired body part of a subject such as a stroke patient includes systems, devices, and methods using an orthosis system configured to attach to the impaired body part and to move or assist in movement of the impaired body part. A control system is configured to operate the orthosis system in a mode in which the orthosis system first allows the subject to move volitionally or attempt to move volitionally the impaired body part in a predefined motion and then operates to move or assist in the predefined motion of the impaired body part. Additional modes of operation include a brain computer interface mode of operation and a mode in which the orthosis system operates in a continuous passive mode of operation comprising a plurality of repetitions of an exercise to move the impaired body part.
