Exoskeleton and mounting arrangement

There is disclosed a mobility aid for use by a user having a lower body amputation site. The mobility aid includes a lower body exoskeleton (LBE). The LBE has a pelvic support structure and a first leg and a second leg. Each of the first and second legs are movably coupled to the pelvic support structure, wherein at least the first and second legs are selectively actuable to move the lower body exoskeleton relative to a surface on which the mobility aid is positioned. The LBE also includes a carrier selectively positionable with respect to the lower body exoskeleton and, which in use, supports the user at or about an amputation site; and a harness system configured to, when in use, secure the user to the lower body exoskeleton.

An inflatable air bladder can be connected to each air cell apparatus. Each air cell apparatus can transition between a retracted position and an extended position. The air cell bladder can be configured to inflate when the air cell apparatus is in the extended position, thereby securing an individual to the massage chair. Various assemblies can be used to transition the air cell apparatus between the retracted and extended positions. Other embodiments are disclosed.

The rotator has an uneven outer surface such that when the motor turns the rotator, the suspension pieces move according to the contours of the rotator's uneven outer surface. The movement of the suspension pieces treats the back of a patient lying on the surface. A method of treating a user's spine is also presented. The method entails arranging frames to form a surface, providing a suspension piece for each of the frames to support the frames, providing a rotator with an uneven surface to contact the suspension piece, and turning the rotator.
