The present invention provides a device with a pressure control system and methods for controlling the application of negative pressure to an external surface of an individual for creating and/or maintaining patency of the upper airway passage. The device is configured to fit under the chin of a subject at an external location corresponding approximately with the subject's internal soft tissue associated with the neck's anterior triangle. The pressure control system contains control module elements that may include circuit board elements, digital output barometer elements, sensor elements, processing elements and memory elements to optimize device function and safety of the device through regulation of the flow rate of the air pump.

An exercise and stretching device is shown and described. The exercise and stretching device includes a connection cable located through a rigid tube. The rigid tube has a curvature. There are connectors at each end of the connection cable. The connectors are connected to resistance bars. The resistance bars have an aperture located at each end of the bar, wherein an aperture of each bar accepts the connectors. A handle is connected to the aperture opposite the connector.

Presented is a chiropractic adjustment and soft tissue mobilization tool. The tool includes a flat bottom section, and a spine adjustment section. The present invention provides an improved massage device which allows a user to apply increased pressure to his or her body via the massage device without assistance from a wall, floor, a second person, or the like, and methods of using the same. The massage device may comprise a massaging roller, an axle, a tension strap, and an axial handle. The tension strap may have first and second ends with connectors attached to the axle on opposite sides of the massaging roller, and the tension strap may be operable to wrap around to an opposite side of the user's body, allowing the user to apply tension to the strap by pushing or pulling thereon, thus increasing the pressure of the massaging roller against the user's body.

This invention is directed toward a massaging device with linearly adjustable nodes that conform to different bodies and treatment regimens, capable of simultaneously massaging both the neck and upper back of a user. A method for enhancing speech control in a subject includes applying a first vibrotactile stimulation and applying a second vibrotactile stimulation to a thyroid area of the subject. The first vibrotactile stimulation has a first vibrating property and the second vibrotactile stimulation has a second vibrating property different than the first vibrating property. Example vibrating properties include vibrating frequency, vibrating frequency range, wave shape, continuousness, frequency phase, and direction of mechanical force. A collar may be configured to position the first vibrational transducer and the second vibrational transducer over a neck of a subject.

Compression garments may include mitts and tightening apparatus to don, or put on, such compression garments. The mitts may be configured to receive a user's hand such that the user can move one or more portions of the garments using the mitts. The tightening apparatus may allow a user to selectively tighten or loosen the garments about the user's body portions.
