A motor vehicle seat having a seat region, in particular a backrest or a seat part, wherein at least one fluid-filled hollow body connected to a first fluid inlet and outlet conduit is arranged in the seat region, wherein the at least one hollow body is part of a seat displacement device and/or a massage device and wherein the hollow body is supported by a support device also arranged in the seat region on its side facing away from an occupant sitting in the motor vehicle seat, characterized in that the support device in turn comprises at least one fluid-filled hollow support body which is arranged in the seat region and is spatially separated from the at least one hollow body, wherein the firmness of the seat and/or the strength of the massage application can additionally be adjusted by varying the filling of the hollow support body.

A surgical patient interface including a base; a platform coupled to the base and including a first end and a second end, the platform configured to transition between a first position and a second position about a pivotable axis stationary relative to the base; a first abutment and a second abutment each adjustably coupled to the platform. The invention relates to a chair for accommodating a person. The chair includes an upper body section having an upper body contact surface adapted or adaptable to at least parts of a front of a torso or a rear of a torso of a person placed on the chair, and a lower body section having a lower body contact surface adapted or adaptable to at least parts of at least a front of a thigh of the person, wherein the upper body section and the lower body section are arranged or arrangeable and fixable in a position relative to each other such that the upper body contact surface and the lower body contact surface cause a hyperextension posture of the hip joint of the person with a predetermined hyperextension angle. By forming the hyperextension angle of the hip on the chair, shortening of the anterior thigh and hip muscles can be counteracted. Also disclosed are a pressing device for application to the human body, which is adapted for use on a chair and which includes one or more pressure units each having at least one pressure head adapted to apply local or point pressure at a predetermined pressure location on the body of a person accommodated on the chair, and a chair having such a pressing device.

A wall-mounted back care apparatus for handsfree washing, lotion application, and scratching includes a pair of mounting brackets. Each mounting bracket has a mounting plate and a receiver coupled to the mounting plate. The mounting plate is mounted to a wall of a shower or a bathroom. A mounting rod is coupled to the pair of mounting brackets and is selectively engageable within the receiver of each mounting bracket. A backboard is coupled to the mounting rod. The backboard has a concave front face and a convex rear face. A cover is coupled to the backboard. The cover is selectively engageable with the backboard to be continuously disposed over the front face of the backboard. The cover exfoliates skin, applies soap or lotion, or scratches an itch.

The present invention is directed to a massage chair having a massage chair frame, a massage system, and a noise-reducing, enclosure device. The frame includes a first end, a second end, a seat body area portion, and a back body area portion. The massage system includes at least one air massage element, an air pump, and at least one air valve device for regulating air flow into and out of the air massage element. The enclosure device includes an enclosure housing and noise-reducing material positioned inside the housing. The housing encloses the air pump and air valve device(s) during operation such that noise generated from or made by the air pump and air valve device(s) during operation is reduced, contained or eliminated. In some embodiments, an exoskeleton device for providing gait/movement assistance to users, and more particularly, methods and apparatuses for attaching such devices to a limb of the users, are presented. In some embodiments, the apparatus may comprise a support, a support holder, and a retaining element for retaining the support secured to the support holder at least when the apparatus is in use. In some embodiments, the attachment of the support to the support holder may be configured so as to allow the support a range of translational and/or rotational degrees of motion.

Disclosed is a collapsible walking device that can be disposed in an operative (open) configuration and a storage (closed) configuration. The open, operative configuration of the walking device provides a structure to aid a user in walking or standing. The closed, storage configuration allows for easy and convenient storage and transport of the walking device. The collapsible walking device can be transitioned from the operative configuration to the storage configuration in one motion.
