MULTI-POINT SPECTRAL SYSTEM
A multi-point spectral system includes an imaging lens, an image capturing module and a multiwavelength filter (MWF) disposed between the imaging lens and the image capturing module. The MWF has a plurality of narrow-bandpass filter (NBPF) units arranged in an array, and each of the plurality of NBPF units has a respective predetermined central transmitted wavelength. The multi-point spectral system is provided to capture plural spectral images of a scene, which contain spectral or color information of the scene. The multi-point spectral system may utilize the information of the plural spectral images to recognize features revealed at the scene.
Method for non-invasive monitoring of fluorescent tracer agent with diffuse reflecting medium with time-varying optical properties
A method of assessment of renal function by monitoring a time-varying fluorescence signal emitted from a fluorescent agent from within a diffuse reflecting medium with time-varying optical properties is provided that includes using a renal monitoring system comprising at least one light source, at least one light detector, at least one optical filter, and at least one controller to provide a measurement data set comprising a plurality of measurement entries, each measurement data entry comprising at least two measurements obtained at one data acquisition time from a patient before and after administration of the fluorescent agent.
Reconstructing light wavelength spectrum with thin-film device
A spectrometer device includes: a substrate including multiple light detector elements; a first filter layer on the substrate, in which the first filter layer includes multiple groups of filter stacks, each filter stack in the first filter layer including multiple dielectric films of alternating refractive index; and a second filter layer on the first filter layer, in which the second filter layer includes multiple groups of filter stacks, each filter stack in the second filter layer including multiple dielectric films of alternating refractive index, in which each filter stack in the second filter layer is aligned with both a corresponding filter stack in the first filter layer and a corresponding light detector element to define a respective photodetector channel, and in which each photodetector channel includes a different optical transmission spectrum.
Filter array and imaging system
A filter array includes optical filters arranged in two dimensions. The optical filters include a first filter and a second filter. The first filter includes a first multimode filter having, within a target wavelength range, first peak wavelengths at each of which the optical transmittance is at a local maximum, and a first band-limiting filter having, as a limiting band, a first sub-wavelength range that is a part of the target wavelength range. The second filter includes a second multimode filter having, within the target wavelength range, second peak wavelengths at each of which the optical transmittance is at a local maximum, at least one of the second peak wavelengths being different from the first peak wavelengths, and a second band-limiting filter restricting transmission of light in a second sub-wavelength range that is a part of the target wavelength range and that is different from the first sub-wavelength range.
Optical stack, optical device and optical construction
An optical device for sensing a presence of an analyte in a person includes a light source, an optical stack, and a reader. The light source emits a first light having a first wavelength. The optical stack is placed on the a skin of the person and includes a sensor material and an optical filter. The sensor material emits a second light having a second wavelength when irradiated with the first light. An optical property of the second light is sensitive to the presence of the analyte. The optical filter is disposed on the sensor material and includes at least ten microlayers. The optical filter has different first and second transmittances at the respective first and second wavelengths.
