Electrically driven wheeled walker
A wheeled walker including a front wheel pair viewed in a driving direction and a rear wheel pair viewed in the driving direction; a frame including rearward oriented struts, wherein each of the rearward oriented struts supports a rear wheel of the rear wheel pair; a platform attached at the wheeled walker, wherein the platform includes at least one platform wheel and a standing platform for a person using the walker; and an electric drive that is configured to move the wheeled walker forward in the driving direction, wherein the wheeled walker includes a coupling device that attaches the platform at the wheeled walker and transfers pull forces and push forces between the wheeled walker and the platform, wherein the coupling device is arranged in an intersection portion of a scissor linkage that is associated with the wheeled walker.
CHAIR INCLUDING PERCUSSIVE MASSAGE THERAPY
A massage chair includes a seat portion, a back portion a leg portion, and a massage carriage configured to move within the seat portion, the back portion, and the leg portion. The massage carriage includes comprises a percussive massage assembly comprising a motor, a reciprocating shaft coupled to the motor and configured to reciprocate in response to activation of the motor, and a reciprocating massage head coupled to the reciprocating shaft. The massage chair also includes a support mechanism associated with the percussive massage assembly. The support mechanism is configured to support a weight of a user of the massage chair, thereby allowing the reciprocating shaft and the reciprocating massage head of the percussive massage assembly to reciprocate.
MOBILITY DEVICES WITH EMBEDDED SENSORS AND ASSOCIATED APPLICATION
A mobility device including one or more sensors configured to transmit user mobility data to an external electronic device such as a smartphone or a computer. In embodiments, the mobility device can be a cane, crutch, walker, wheelchair, walking stick, or walking pole. A system for measuring real time mobility data of a user is also disclosed.
UPPER ARM CUFF CRUTCHES
An ambulatory aid, such as one or more crutches, including a height adjustable shaft, a handle portion extending from a middle portion of the shaft, a foot portion, and an extension portion termination with a closed loop cuff for securing to the upper arm of a subject. The height adjustable shaft of the crutch can be adjustable at a top end, middle, a bottom end, or any combination thereof. The top of the cane shaft is aligned at a more posterior angle then the bottom of the shaft. The handle of the crutch is elongated and extends horizontally and lateral to the height adjustable shaft. In a particular embodiment, a posterior portion of the handle is longer, and optionally larger in surface area than an anterior portion of the handle such that the handle is configured so that when the person's hand is gripping the handle, the handle will be offset over the shaft.
Handheld acupuncture tapping device
A handheld acupuncture tapping device includes a case that is divided into a head and a handheld part. At least one control button is disposed on the outer surface of the case, and at least one light unit, a vibration unit, a control module, and a contact unit are disposed within the case. The control module is electrically connected to the light unit and the vibration unit for driving the light unit and the vibration unit to generate a light and a vibration signal respectively. Further, the user can control the control module by the control button to adjust the intensity of the light and the waveform, frequency and amplitude of the vibration signal. The contact unit is disposed in front of the light unit and the vibration unit, so that the light and the vibration signal are projected on the contact unit and transmitted to an outside. The user can use the light and the vibration signal generated by the handheld acupuncture tapping device to tap or massage the treatment part.
PORTABLE AND STEERABLE WHEELED TRANSPORTATION DEVICE
A transportation device including a frame with a geometry and proportions that supports the body in a way that permits free movement of the lower body and legs, unencumbered by the device itself, to propel the transportation device and enable steering of the transportation device while riding with the body partially or wholly suspended off of the ground. In a portable configuration of the transportation device, a body suspension apparatus rotates in line with a central down tube and a steering mechanism rotates adjacent the central down tube. A plurality of telescoping down tubes forming the central down tube are nested within one another to reduce the length of the central down tube.
WALKER WITH A FOLDABLE FOOT REST OR COLLAPSIBLE STEP
A walker that includes a handle, first frame having first and second legs, a second frame having first and second legs, one or more support bars, and a foldable or stowable foot rest, in which the folding action of the foot rest is actuated via the handle.
Walking Assisting Apparatus
A walking assisting apparatus includes a leg mounted device configured to be mounted on a leg of a user to assist walking of the user. A waist mounted device is provided on an upper side of the leg mounted device and configured to be mounted on a waist of the user. A support is located on a front side of the leg mounted device and configured to contact a ground surface. A control device is coupled to a front side of the waist mounted device, electrically connected to the leg mounted device, and configured to control the leg mounted device. A connector connects the control device and the leg mounted device to detachably housing house the support.
Systems and Methods for Neurofeedback-Triggered Therapy for Neurological Conditions
Systems and methods for neurofeedback-triggered therapy for neurological conditions in accordance with embodiments of the invention are illustrated. One embodiment includes a neurofeedback-triggered therapy system, including a plurality of vibrotactile stimulators, a brain activity recorder, and a controller, including a processor, and a memory, the memory containing a neurofeedback application, where in order to condition a user to reduce the symptoms of a neurological condition on demand triggered by upregulating sensorimotor rhythm (SMR) activity, the neurofeedback application directs the processor to obtain brain activity data from the brain activity recorder, identify sensorimotor rhythm (SMR) spindles in the brain activity data, and provide vibrotactile Coordinated Reset (vCR) stimulation to a user using the plurality of vibrotactile stimulators when SMR spindles are identified, where the vCR stimulation reduces the symptoms of a neurological condition of the user.
