Adjustably Tensioned Roller Massage System
An adjustably tensioned roller massage system provides a pair of roller massage assemblies in opposed adjustable tensioned or spaced relation to allow engagement of each one of a pair of roller massage assemblies on a corresponding massageable portion of a body.
FOOT MAT
A foot mat is a mat for placing on the bottom of a bathtub or shower to prevent the user slipping and falling, and having a second and third function of vibrating to provide foot massage automatically when the user stands on the mat, and an abrasive edge such as a loofah sponge for exfoliating the contactable surfaces of the feet.
Shoe extension for patient gait modification
A shoe extension for gait modification includes a vamp section, a base section, an attachment strap, and a restraining mechanism. The vamp section is connected to a top surface of the base section forming a receiving slot. A toe box of a shoe worn on a healthy limb is slidably positioned into the receiving slot such that the base section is positioned along an outsole of the shoe. The attachment strap is utilized to establish a connection with the shoe. By increasing an overall length of the footwear worn on the healthy limb, a speed of motion of the healthy limb may be reduced in order to increase weight bearing on the unhealthy limb. The restraining mechanism, which is preferably integrated into a bottom surface of the base section, may also be used to reduce the speed of motion of the healthy limb.
Body massaging apparatus
A self-operated, or therapist assisted, apparatus particularly adapted for massaging a user's body parts affected by repetitive strain injuries such as tendinitis and carpal tunnel syndrome, comprises two clamping arms joined at a base end and provided with an opening at the other end. Flexible massaging members are mounted on opposite medial sections of the arms. A body part may be placed between the two arms of the device to be acted upon by the massaging members, whereby the body part is adjustably clamped between the pair of massaging members and massaged by translating and rotating movements of the body part along an axis perpendicular to the mounting axes of the massaging members. Alternatively, one of the arms of the apparatus may be separated from the apparatus and used independently to massage body parts that otherwise would not fit between the arms of the apparatus.
ROBOTIC BRACE AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Disclosed herein is a brace for regeneration of tissue in a knee comprising a sleeve and a first strut; where the first strut comprises an upper portion comprising a first jig; where the first jig comprises a slot for hosting a first strap that is in contact with the sleeve; a central portion that comprises a central strut that is in fluid communication with an actuator located on a first side of the knee that imposes a force on the knee; where the force is inclined at an angle to a longitudinal axis of the first strut; and a lower portion that comprises a second jig; where the second jig comprises a slot for hosting a second strap that contacts the sleeve at an opposite end relative to a position that the first strap contacts the sleeve.
VIBRATION-GENERATING DEVICE
A piezoelectric band (10) includes: a base sheet (11) that has flexibility and is formed into a sheet shape; a piezoelectric sheet (20) that has flexibility and is formed into a sheet shape and placed over one side of the base sheet (11); and a cover sheet (12) that has flexibility and is formed into a sheet shape and placed over and in contact with one side of the piezoelectric sheet (20) that faces away from the base sheet (11). Upon reception of a drive signal, the piezoelectric sheet (20) vibrates at or above a frequency of 15 kHz. The cover sheet (12) has a plurality of holes (12a) passing therethrough from one side facing the piezoelectric sheet (20) to the other side, and the plurality of holes (12a) forms respectively air layers through which vibration of the piezoelectric sheet (20) propagates toward the other side.
DYNAMIC REACTIVE SYSTEM AND METHOD TO SUPPORT AND CHANGE SITTING POSTURES
There is provided a dynamic and proactive system for supporting sitting while detecting and changing sitting postures of a user and method of operation thereof. The system including a frame, a plurality of supports, each configured to support a different body part, and a plurality of joints each configured to move independently of or together with any other of the joints, each of the supports is connected to the frame via a corresponding joint, at least one of the joints is a two dimensional joint which enables a change in angle between the frame and a corresponding support. Each one of the plurality of supports is configured to move with respect to the frame or to another support, thereby enabling any changes in sitting postures of the user. The system comprises sensors, which based on their readings, the system detects user postures and suggests or creates posture changes.
Exercise apparatus and method of use
Disclosed are handicap apparatus using (a) one or more resilient, snap-on bumper structures, (b) unique tips covers, (c) leg elevating units, (d) resilient structures having a density that provides a softer exterior and a harder interior. The handicap apparatus includes crutches, canes, wheelchairs, scooters, and walkers.
Bio-signal Measurement Device for Massage Apparatus
Provided is a biometric signal measurement device for a massage apparatus, in which an electrode for acquiring a biometric signal of a user acquires the biometric signal while vertically moving in contact with a plantar part of the user, and at the same time, massages the plantar part, thereby improving a massage effect. The biometric signal measurement device for a massage apparatus includes a base part on which a foot of a user is placed, an electrode part that is made of a conductive material, is installed in the base part to be vertically movable, and acquires a biometric signal while in contact with a sole of the user placed on the base part, an electrode driving part that vertically moves the electrode part, and a controller that is electrically connected to the electrode part and analyzes biometric information of the user through the biometric signal acquired by the electrode part.
THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE DEVICE
A therapeutic massage device includes a pressure head configured in a therapy side of a platform. The platform may pivot or rotate to enable varying stretch and therapy angles to activate a variety of muscles. The pressure head may be pressed against a body part and in particular an appendage, such as a person's foot or hand to stimulate reflexes and massage muscles and other soft tissue for therapy. The angle of the platform may be selected to provide the best angle for pressure application via the pressure head. A platform may rotate about a pivot or have a shape to allow the platform to rotate on a curved surface. A platform may have curved therapy surfaces to enable varying degrees of stretch. A pressure head may include a vibration device and may be a massage ball that is detachably attachable to the platform.
