Fluid conduit with two-way communication
This disclosure relates to fluid conduit that incorporates sensors printed on an exterior wall of the fluid conduit configured to sense an operating parameter of the fluid conduit. A two-way communication device communicatively connected to the printed electronic material is configured to wirelessly transmit the operating parameter to a mobile device.
Electronic sensors supported on a fluid conduit
This disclosure relates to a fluid conduit that incorporates electronic sensors printed on a flexible substrate and attached to an exterior wall of the fluid conduit. The sensors are configured to sense an operating parameter of the fluid conduit. A protective layer is arranged to be deposited over the substrate and over at least selected portions of the electronic material.
Pipeline leak detection apparatus, and methods thereof
An apparatus for the continuous monitoring of a pipeline or a pipeline network carrying flowing media that can not only detect the presence of a leak but also locate the source of the leak through the use of rarefaction wave detection and methods of using the same is disclosed within. The apparatus and method are specifically configured to locate the leak source within less than 36 inches using a calibration means and a noise cancellation means.
CONDUITS FOR TRANSPORTING FLUIDS AND METHODS OF FABRICATING THE SAME
A method of fabricating a conduit comprises steps of attaching a first tubular-outboard-ply end of a tubular outboard ply to a first inner collar portion of a first collar with a third weld and attaching a second tubular-outboard-ply end to a second inner collar portion of a second collar with a fifth weld. The method additionally comprises steps of interconnecting the first inner collar portion and a first outer collar portion of the first collar with a first weld and interconnecting the second inner collar portion and a second outer collar portion of the second collar with a sixth weld. The method also comprises attaching a trimmed first corrugated-inboard-ply end to the first outer collar portion with a second weld, attaching a trimmed second corrugated-inboard-ply end to the second outer collar portion with a fourth weld, and communicatively coupling a first sensor with an interstitial space.
LEAK DETECTOR
The invention relates to a leak detector (10) for detecting leaked liquid. The leak detector (10) comprises a flexible and elongate fastener (12) configured to fit around a liquid containing pipe to thereby attach the leak detector to the liquid containing pipe. The leak detector also comprises a leak sensor and a housing (14) containing electrical circuitry. The leak sensor (is) comprised in at least one of the fastener and the housing. The leak sensor is configured to sense liquid leaking from the liquid containing pipe with the electrical circuitry being operative to detect a leak in dependence on an output from the leak sensor. The leak detector is configured such that the housing (14) and the fastener (12) are abreast.
Conduits for transporting fluids
A conduit for transporting a fluid comprises a first collar, a second collar, and a bellows. The bellows comprises a corrugated inboard ply, a corrugated outboard ply, and an interstitial space, interposed between the corrugated inboard ply and the corrugated outboard ply. The conduit additionally comprises a second weld, hermetically coupling the corrugated inboard ply and a first outer collar portion, a third weld, hermetically coupling the corrugated outboard ply and a first inner collar portion, a fourth weld, hermetically coupling the corrugated inboard ply and a second outer collar portion, a fifth weld, hermetically coupling the corrugated outboard ply and a second inner collar portion, and a first sensor, communicatively coupled with the interstitial space.
WATER LEAKAGE DETECTION DEVICE
Provided is a water leakage detection device, including: a pair of metal electrodes containing a first end and a second end; a warning device connected to the first end of the pair of metal electrodes, and configured to issue a warning based on a potential difference between the pair of metal electrodes; and a power supply which is connected to the second end of the pair of metal electrodes, and configured to apply a voltage between the pair of metal electrodes.
LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
A method of monitoring at least one leak detection sensor, the method including the steps of: determining via a communication hub a first state of a sensor comprising a first condition when the sensor is dry and a second condition when the sensor is wet; determining via the communication hub a second state representing an operability of the sensor; communicating via the communication hub each of the states of the sensor to a Graphical User Interface (GUI); and displaying, via the GUI, a representation of the first and second states of the sensor.
SELF CHARGING FLUID FLOW SENSOR SYSTEM
A self-charging sensor (SCS) adapted for use in a toilet or the like. The SCS includes a housing having a rechargeable battery; a turbine module having a multilevel impeller having offset wheels that are adapted to be driven by a fluid flow via an inlet port during an event, wherein a rotation of the impeller causes the turbine module to generate electricity that recharges the rechargeable battery; and a processing module that collects count data associated with the rotation during the event; and an attachment component adapted to seat the housing on an overflow tube.
Device and method for testing and inspecting the integrity of an autoinjector
A device and method for testing and inspecting the integrity of an autoinjector device is disclosed. The autoinjector devices includes a medication container, a housing that receives the medication container, the housing including a plurality of electrodes arranged circumferentially relative to the medication container, and a plurality of electrical contacts corresponding to the plurality of electrodes and in electrical communication therewith, the electrical contacts being accessible from the exterior of the autoinjector device, wherein a circuit between at least one pair of electrodes, measured at the electrical contacts, indicates a defect in the medication container. A method of testing the integrity of the autoinjector device is also disclose, wherein a voltage is applied to the electrical contacts in order to determine the integrity of the medication container in the autoinjector device. Accordingly, defects in the pre-packaged medication container in the autoinjector device may be detected.
