Systems and methods for testing gas leak detectors
A system and a method for accurately testing gas leak detectors by considering multiple operational parameters as per the standard requirements are disclosed. The system comprises one or more gas cylinders, a test execution chamber, mass flow controllers (MFCs), and a control system. The test execution chamber is connected to the gas cylinders via test gas pipelines and a plurality of valves, and the mass flow controllers. The test execution chamber further comprises a first chamber and a second chamber, which are connected to form a closed cycle, thereby saving consumption of the testing gases. The control system in communication with the mechanized system, thereby controlling the operation of the system for accurately testing the gas leak detector test samples. The performance of the one or more gas leak detector test samples is controlled by adjusting the density of the testing gas to a predetermined value and as per the standard requirements.

Disclosed is a gas leakage prevention cooling box for a pipe flange connection, which includes: a main body casing having an inner chamber in which connection flanges of a first pipe and a second pipe are located at a center portion of the main body casing, a pipe mounting hole in which the pipes connected around the flange are located on front and rear sides of the inner chamber, and a first half main body and a second half main body coupled to face to each other with the connection flanges of the first and second pipes therebetween and supported by the connection between the first pipe and the second pipe; and a cooling fan installed in the first half main body of the main body casing and configured to supply external air to the inner chamber.

Provided are techniques for operating a hydrocarbon well system that include installing a wellhead seal assembly at a wellhead of a hydrocarbon well system, conducting pressure testing of a wellhead seal cavity defined by the seal assembly to verify its integrity, disposing a control fluid into the wellhead seal cavity, conducting baseline ultrasonic imaging of the wellhead seal cavity to generate a baseline ultrasonic image that depicts a signature of the control fluid disposed in the wellhead seal cavity at a first point in time, conducting updated ultrasonic imaging of the wellhead seal cavity to generate an updated ultrasonic image that depicts a signature of substances disposed in the wellhead seal cavity at a second point in time, comparing the updated ultrasonic image to the baseline ultrasonic image to determine whether the integrity of the wellhead seal cavity has been compromised.
SNIFFER PROBE AND LEAK DETECTOR
A sniffer probe for a leak detector for monitoring the leaktightness of an object to be tested by tracer gas includes an end piece created in the form of a rigid tube, a housing, a connection member connecting the end piece to the housing, and a sampling duct to sample a gas at a first end of the end piece. The connection member includes a main body that is elastically deformable such that it can adopt a deformed position, making it possible for the end piece to pivot when acted upon by a force and to return to the initial rest position.

A fluid test system for checking the integrity of connections and welds in a fluid component includes a first nitrogen source selectively connected to first and second isopropanol tanks, a fluid line circulation circuit, a drain selectively connected to the fluid circulation line, the first IPA tank connected to the fluid line circulation circuit through a first IPA line and a second IPA tank connected to the fluid line circulation circuit through a second IPA a second drain selectively connected to the first and second IPA tanks, a first deionized water line selectively connectable to a deionized water source and to the fluid line circulation circuit, and a vacuum pump selectively connectable to the fluid line circulation circuit through a vacuum selection valve, wherein the fluid line circulation circuit is selectively configurable to flow water, nitrogen and IPA through a unit under test.
