In addition, a method is described for testing a charging socket to supply electric energy to an energy reservoir of a vehicle.
Leak detection formula, analyze and methods of use
Detecting a leak from a site in a sealed system with a source of pressurized gas which is capable of passing through the site, a composition of matter which adheres to the surfaces of the system and which is capable of showing the presence of the gas escaping from the site. The method includes: injecting gas into the system to a pressure in excess of the surrounding pressure, and covering the external surface with the composition to identify the location of the site by the interaction of the escaping gas with the composition. The composition is foam that includes a surfactant which forms a least one bubble in the presence of escaping gas and an indicator which changes color in the presence of the escaping gas. The leak is an opening down to at least the size of a hole 0.001 in diameter. A gas detector may also be used.
Composition of matter for identifying the location of a leak site
This invention relates to compositions of matter formulated to work in conjunction with CO.sub.2 gas for identifying the exact leak site location of small and large leaks in sealed systems. The leak finding compositions of matter foam, or are in the form of a foam, when applied to the one or more external surfaces of a system, that is closed and pressurized with CO.sub.2, where a leak site location is suspected. This foam then changes color from a first color to a second color over the exact leak site.
Methods for detecting leaks for pharmaceutical packages such as parenteral packages and bulk pharmaceutical bags
A method for leak detection of a packaged sealed product according to the steps: feeding liquid nitrogen to a vaporizer thereby forming gaseous nitrogen; mixing the gaseous nitrogen with multifunctional particles; feeding the mixture of gaseous nitrogen and multifunctional particles to a chamber wherein a packaged sealed product is present in the chamber; and transmitting a signal when the multifunctional particles contact a component leaking from the packaged sealed product. Typically, the packaged sealed product is a pharmaceutical or other medicinal product.
Apparatus for injecting a fluid in a pressurized air conditioning or refrigeration system
An apparatus for injecting an additive in a pressurized air conditioning or refrigeration system having a cartridge having two ends, a first open end which connects to the system being charged and a second open end, and wherein the first open end has a threaded nozzle. A piston is sealably disposed with the second open end of the cartridge. An adapter is provided to sealably and releasably connect the cartridge to a service valve of the pressurized air conditioning or refrigeration system without the interposition of an intermediate hose assembly. The adapter is a fitting having a fitting body with a first end portion connectible to the threaded nozzle of the cartridge and a second end portion connectible the service valve of the pressurized air conditioning or refrigeration system.
FUNCTIONALLY TESTING A LEAK DETECTION DEVICE FOR CHECKING THE SEALING TIGHTNESS OF AN INSPECTION OBJECT FILLED WITH A LIQUID
A test leak device for functional testing of a leak detection device for the leak test of a test specimen (14) filled with a liquid (12) having an internal pressure that is lower than atmospheric pressure, comprising a reservoir (102) filled with a test liquid (104), wherein the test liquid (104) has a vapor pressure of less than 500 mbar at room temperature, and the reservoir (102) comprises an outlet (106), and a pump (100) cooperating with the reservoir (102) and configured to convey the test liquid (104) from the reservoir (102) in such a way that the test liquid (104) escapes from the pump (100) through the outlet (106) in liquid form from the reservoir (102).
Delaminatable container, method of checking the same for a pinhole, and method of processing the same
A delaminatable container, having: a container body having an outer shell and an inner bag, the inner bag delaminating from the outer shell with a decrease in contents and being shrunk. A valve member regulating entrance and exit of air between an external space of the container body and an intermediate space between the outer shell and the inner bag. The container body includes a storage portion and a mouth. The outer shell includes a fresh air inlet communicating the intermediate space with the external space in the storage portion, the valve member includes an axis inserted into the fresh air inlet, a lid provided on a side of the intermediate space in the axis and having a cross-sectional area greater than that of the axis, and a locking portion provided on a side of the external space.
Leakage Control System for Spent Fuel Cooling Pool
A leakage detection system for spent fuel cooling pools is related to the field of testing and measurement instrumentation and is aimed at monitoring leakages in the storage facilities, mostly in spent fuel cooling pools at NPPs.
In the leakage detection system for spent fuel cooling pools the welded joints in the pool are additionally fenced with a metal guard which are connected via valve installed tubes to the pipeline, which, in turn, is connected on both of its sides to the leakage collector tank via a receiving valve and a return valve. The leakage collector tank is equipped with a level control sensor.
A leakage detection system for spent fuel cooling pools ensures control over airtightness of welded joins in the pool and allows for detection of leaking welded joints without preliminary emptying the pool which enhances the radiation safety of the pool and reduces the maintenance time.
