The present disclosure relates to methods and systems for water damage protection and reporting associated with leak detection, usage monitoring, predictive maintenance and analytics related to plumbing infrastructure in free standing locations, buildings, homes, venues, manufacturing facilities, public infrastructure, restaurants and malls.
STATE DETERMINATION OF A FLUIDIC SYSTEM
A method for determining a state of a fluidic system can include measuring back pressures in the fluidic system at different times and determining a state of the fluidic system. The determination is based on at least the measured back pressures and on additional status information indicative of at least one status of the fluidic system at at least one of the different times.
FLUID FLOW MEASURING AND CONTROL DEVICES AND METHOD
There is described a fluid flow measuring and control device for installation within plumbing. The device comprises a main flow channeling system having an inlet and an outlet for connection to the plumbing, and a bypass channeling system in parallel from the main flow channeling system. A flowmeter is provided in the bypass channeling system for measuring the fluid flow in the bypass channeling system and thereby estimating the fluid flow at the inlet or at the outlet of the main flow channeling system. The flowmeter may comprise a wheel and a pair of movement sensors. A valve such as a solenoid valve can be provided as an on/off control for the plumbing. Using a microcontroller, the device can identify which appliance is used and determine consumption, or detect abnormal use or leaks and close the valve and/or notify a user mobile device.
MONITORING SYSTEM FOR DETECTING LEAKS USING A SYSTEM OF FLOW RATE SENSORS AND SMART VALVES
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a storage device, for detecting water leaks and mitigating the damage caused by the detected leaks. The system may include a processor and a storage device storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations. The operations may include obtaining sensor data that is generated by one or more flow rate sensors located at a property, obtaining status data that is generated by one or more connected water shutoff valves located at the property, determining, based on (i) the obtained sensor data and (ii) the obtained status data whether a water leak has been detected at the property, and in response to determining, based on (i) the obtained sensor data and (ii) the obtained status data, that a water leak has been detected at the property, initiating performance of one or more water damage mitigation operations.
METHOD OF DETECTING LEAKAGE IN WATER ELECTROLYZER, METHOD OF GENERATING HYDROGEN, PROGRAM FOR DETECTING LEAKAGE IN WATER ELECTOLYZER, AND WATER ELECTROLYZER
To make it possible to detect whether leakage is external leakage or cross leakage in a water electrolyzer, a valve installed in an oxygen-side path, and a valve installed in a hydrogen-side path are closed; a water electrolysis reaction at a water electrolytic cell is progressed, and leakage in the oxygen-side path and leakage in the hydrogen-side path are determined based on the change in an internal pressure; and a differential pressure is made between the oxygen-side path and the hydrogen-side path, and leakage from a solid polymer electrolyte membrane is determined based on the change in the differential pressure.
Corrosion monitoring in a fire sprinkler system
A fire sprinkler system according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes a pipe having a first pipe portion and a second pipe portion. The first pipe portion includes a wall having a first wall thickness, and the second pipe portion includes a wall having a second wall thickness that is greater than the first wall thickness. The fire sprinkler system further includes structure coupled to the pipe and defining a sealed chamber between the structure and at least the first pipe portion, and a sensor for sensing a pressure in the sealed chamber. Example corrosion monitoring devices and methods for monitoring corrosion in pipe systems, including fire sprinkler systems, are also disclosed.
Real time integrity monitoring of on-shore pipes
A method includes providing a length of pipeline that has a housing defining a central bore extending the length of the pipe and a space formed within the housing and extending the length of the pipe. At least one condition within the space is continuously monitored within the space to detect in real time if a change in the housing occurs.
CONTROLLING A VACUUM SYSTEM COMPRISING A VACUUM GENERATOR ARRANGEMENT
The invention relates to energy saving in vacuum systems by means of a method and a controller enabling to consider the fluctuation in system-pressure of a system by determining a maximum system-pressure S2H and a minimum system-pressure S2h for each working cycle W.sub.C based on a determined target system-pressure p.sub.n.sup.− and a pre-set system-pressure p.sub.0.sup.− for the current working cycle W.sub.Cn (n=1, 2, 3, . . . ). The method is especially adapted to fluctuations in system-pressure level of a vacuum system comprising a vacuum gripper tool.
Leak hole determination device of evaporated fuel processing device
A leak hole determination device in an evaporated fuel processing system. The leak hole determination device includes: a first pressure detector for detecting a first pressure in a fuel tank; a second pressure detector for detecting a second pressure in a canister; and a leak hole determiner for determining whether a leak hole is present. The leak hole determiner determines, after a limit pressure timing subsequent to a depressurization operation for depressurizing an inside of the system, whether a leak hole is present by using a difference between a change speed of a first pressure detected by the first pressure detector and a change speed of a second pressure detected by the second pressure detector.
Pressure testing device and method of testing using same
A device and method of pressure testing a conduit structure to determine if there is a leak in a conduit layout, which includes employing a pressure testing device having a first part having a coupling end for sealably connecting to a first conduit portion, a second part communicably connecting to the first part and having a valve connection adapted to receive one of a positive pressure source and a negative pressure source, and a pressure meter operably connected to the pressure testing device, wherein the valve is open to receive one of the positive pressure source and the negative pressure source, the pressure meter displays one of a positive pressure and a negative pressure, opening the valve to receive one of the positive pressure source and negative pressure source, and reading the pressure on the pressure meter to determine if the pressure is being maintained.
