LOAD MEASUREMENT SYSTEM, WALKING TRAINING SYSTEM, LOAD MEASUREMENT METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A load measurement device includes an acquisition unit, a load calculation unit, and an output unit. The acquisition unit acquires sensor output information of a load distribution sensor that detects a load distribution received from a sole of a subject. The load calculation unit calculates a total load value, based on the sensor output information and geometric information of a load region specified based on the sensor output information, the geometric information including at least a perimeter of the load region in a horizontal direction. The output unit outputs the total load value.
ACTUATORS FOR ASSISTIVE WEARABLE DEVICES
This application relates to an actuation system for assistive wearable devices such as exoskeletons designed to actuate a joint of a wearer of the device. The actuation system includes a differential pulley drum having a first drum portion and a second drum portion, the first drum portion and the second drum portion having different radii. The differential pulley drum is located at a first end of the actuator. The actuation system further includes a motor coupled to the differential pulley drum and configured to rotate the differential pulley drum, a second pulley located at a second end of the actuator, a flexible sleeve that extends between the differential pulley drum and the second pulley, and a strand that extends from the differential pulley drum to the second pulley through the flexible sleeve.
WALKING TRAINING SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A walking training system includes: a tension unit that pulls a leg of a trainee upward and forward; a sensor provided for determining a start timing of a swinging end phase of the leg; and a control unit that reduces a tensile force of the tension unit from the start timing of the swinging end phase.
METHOD OF USING A HYDROELECTRIC ACTUATOR TO CREATE A CONTROLLABLE PRESSURE ON A CYLINDRICALLY SHAPED OBJECT
The embodiments in this disclosure are directed towards, for example, a hydro-electric actuator which pushes a contained dielectric liquid by applying an electrostatic force. The dielectric liquid is within at least one closed chamber in some embodiments. The disclosure includes a method of making at least one closed chamber using at least one dielectric film. In some embodiments, the at least one dielectric film is coated with electrodes from opposite sides.
A WEARABLE DEVICE FOR DETERMINING MOTION AND/OR A PHYSIOLOGICAL STATE OF A WEARER
The invention relates to a wearable device for determining a nature of motion and/or a physiological state of a wearer. The wearable device comprises a body portion configured to be worn by the wearer and at least one sensor mounted to the body portion configured to, while the wearable device is being worn, detect a motion parameter of the wearer and/or a physiological parameter of the wearer and generate input data indicative of the motion parameter and/or the physiological parameter. The wearable device further comprises a processor configured to receive the input data from the at least one sensor and process the input data by executing an algorithm to determine the nature of motion and/or the physiological state of the wearer while the wearable device is being worn. The invention further relates to a system for determining a nature of motion and/or a physiological state of a wearer.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVING BINOCULAR VISION
The present disclosure describes systems and methods for improving binocular vision, which generate a virtual image moving between two different depths to stimulate and then strengthen the weaker/abnormal eye of the viewer to eventually improve or even restore his/her binocular vision based on the viewer's eye information. The system comprises an eye tracking module and a virtual image module. The eye tracking module is configured to provide eye information of the viewer. The virtual image module configured to display a first virtual object by projecting multiple normal light signals to a viewer's first eye to form a normal image and corresponding multiple adjusted light signals to a viewers second eye to form an adjusted image.
ADULT PLEASURE ENHANCEMENT NECK PRESSURE CUFF WITH SAFETY RELEASE
The invention relates to an adult choke pleasure enhancement adjustable pressure cuff device. Participants can engage in solo autoerotic asphyxiation (AEA) without accidentally suffocating to death. The adjustable cuff is inflatable and sized to encompass a participant's neck and has a timed safety release function. The participant can apply the device at default setting to fit snugly, but not impede blood flow. The participant can inflate the device to the desired level of pressure that would remain at that setting at participant's discretion. They can control what happens and for how long, as long as the participant is not incapacitated. However, if at any time, the controls/settings are not engaged by the participant, the device would automatically default to zero pressure after a set time. The use of the device therefore allows a participant to safely engage in solo AEA without risking injury or death.
KNEE MOVEMENT SUPPORT DEVICE
A knee movement support device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is a knee movement support device attached to a leg of a user, and includes: an upper leg link fastened to an upper leg of the user; a lower leg link fastened to a lower leg of the user; and an interval adjusting portion disposed between the upper leg of the user and the upper leg link or between the lower leg of the user and the lower leg link.
VISUAL ASSISTANCE SYSTEM
A visual assistance system or distance and location detection system is provided. The system comprises a sensor detecting distance of objects in a user's path and alerting the user when an object is within a designated proximity to the user. The system further comprises a location detection system using GPS technology that tracks the user's location and issues an alert to the user or other individual when the user's location exceeds the boundaries of a designated safe zone.
MOVABLE LIMB COMPRESSION AND CIRCULATION APPARATUS
Provided is a limb compression and circulation apparatus in which, due to a small and light body and a rechargeable power supply device, the limb compression and circulation apparatus is usable regardless of place while being worn and used by a user who is moving. The limb compression and circulation apparatus may include a first air hose connected to one end of an air pressurization portion to send air generated by the air pressurization portion and a plurality of second air hoses connected to the other end of the first air hose and allowing the air generated by the air pressurization portion to diverge and to blow into an air cuff so as to perform effective air divergence. The limb compression and circulation apparatus may prevent air leakage by coupling an air inlet/outlet hole of a second adaptor with an air hose to communicate with each other.
