Ultrasonic Fluid Pump for Lymphedema
A method and device that provides an improved way to treat lymphedema. An ultrasonic fluid pump including speakers attached to a flexible material stocking, combined with a controller, which is adapted to control the operation of the speakers to enable the speakers to cause fluid to flow in a predetermined direction.
Systems and methods for exerting force on bodies
Systems and methods for exerting forces on a body, including a support structure defining a space and a plurality of surface contacting units that are configured to exert force upon the body, such that the weight is distributed away from the primary weight bearing regions to non-weight bearing regions of the body, or vice versa, without exerting significant shear or frictional forces on surfaces of the body. The systems and methods may be used to exert forces to cause fluid shift in different compartments of the body. Applications include treatment of various disease conditions including pressure ulcers, heart failure, high blood pressure, preeclampsia, osteoporosis, injuries of spine and to slow microgravity-induced bone and muscle loss. The systems and methods may be used to simulate gravity, weightlessness or buoyancy, in rehabilitation medicine. The system may include a chair, bed, a wearable suit or an exoskeleton.
EYE MASSAGING DEVICE
An eye massaging device comprises a main body, a water bag, a control unit, a cover, and a fixing ring. The temperature of the circulating water tank may be sensed by a thermal sensor and then feedback the temperature signal to a microprocessor. The microprocessor may control to drive a heating member to increase temperature and stop increasing temperature so as to effectively control the operation temperature and prevent from transient blindness resulting from being not able to effectively control the temperature.
FLEXIBLE VIBRATION CUSHION AND CONTROL METHOD FOR DRIVING THE SAME
Disclosed are a flexible vibration cushion and a method of controlling the same. The flexible vibration cushion may include a cover member, a first soft filler material filled in the cover member; and a vibration generation device including components made of a soft material and disposed in the soft filler. The vibration generation device is configured to generate vibration as an electrostatic force is repeatedly generated and released. The vibration generation device may be applied in a vehicle part, e.g., headrest, thereby minimizing the foreign body sensation acting on the user’s skin while delivering soft and various senses of vibrations to the user.
Methods and systems for treating hypertension using energy-stimulated acupuncture applied to predefined acupuncture points
Energy stimulated acupuncture, directed to a novel set of acupoints, is implemented to treat hypertension. The disclosed methods and systems are directed toward the application of electrical stimulation, or other forms of energy, to specific acupuncture points, using devices such as transcutaneous electrical stimulation electroacupuncture devices, laser acupuncture devices or ultrasound acupuncture devices, to treat hypertension, particularly in middle-aged women.
BED BASE AND BED PROVIDED WITH SAID BED BASE, WHEREIN THE BED BASE IS PROVIDED WITH MASSAGING MEANS
Bed base and bed provided with the bed base, wherein the bed base is provided with massaging apparatuses having slats which are placed one after the other and which define a support plane for a mattress, wherein the massaging apparatuses include a first drive which activates a first series of slats for a massaging action and a second drive which activates a second series of slats for a massaging action.
PIEZOELECTRIC PRESSURE CUFF
A pressure cuff is provided, comprising a plurality of layers and a controller. The layers comprise: an outer covering, an outer surface of which is exposed when the pressure cuff is secured around a body part of a patient; a first conductive layer; a first insulating layer separating the outer covering and the first conductive layer; an inner covering, the inner surface of which contacts the patient or the patient's clothing when the pressure cuff is secured to the patient; a second conductive layer; a second insulating layer separating the inner covering and the second conductive layer; and a first piezoelectric support layer separating the first and second conductive layers. The controller is electrically coupled to the first and second conductive layers and configured to supply a voltage to the first and second conductive layers, whereupon the first piezoelectric support layer constricts around the body part of the patient.
Therapeutic Vibration System
A therapeutic vibrational system for treating such conditions as hypertension may have a plurality of vibrating patches; each including a vibrating motor with an adhesive for application to a person's skin permitting the plurality of vibrating patches to be placed in two or more locations on the person's skin, as well as a controller with a user interface and configured to provide control instructions to the plurality of vibrating patches.
STIMULATION DEVICE WITH CHANGE OF SHAPE USING SHAPE-MEMORY ELEMENT
A stimulation device includes a base body, and a contact element attached on or in the base body, for contact with a body part of the user. The contact element has a reversibly deformable contact surface region. A shaping element, to generate a local deformation of the contact element without deforming the base body, is arranged on or in the base body to move in relation to the base body. An actuation device is arranged on or in the base body and operatively connected to the shaping element to generate movement of the shaping element. The actuation device comprises a shape-memory element that can be deformed by applying an electrical current and/or a magnetic field and/or by changing the temperature, and is connected to the base body on one side and to the shaping element on the other side, and, by deforming, causes a movement of the shaping element.
CONTROL METHOD FOR MASSAGE MACHINE AND MASSAGE ELEMENT OF MASSAGE MACHINE
A primary object of the present invention is to provide a control method for a massage machine and a massage element of a massage machine which can provide pressing and rubbing kneading to a person to be treated.
A control method for a massage machine contains a controlling process for individually controlling operations of a kneading motor 331 for operating a pair of massage elements 321, 322, width adjustment motors 341, 342 for adjusting a width between the pair of massage elements 321, 322, a strength-and-weakness motor 351 for adjusting strength of the pair of massage elements 321, 322 and an up-and-down motor 361 for adjusting movement of the pair of massage elements 321, 322 in an up-and-down direction.
