TITRATION APPARATUS AND TITRATION METHOD
A titration apparatus includes a titration measuring cell with a titration vessel, a valve device, and a first pump for sucking liquid through a first fluid line into a temporary storage container and transporting it via a second fluid line into the titration vessel. The temporary storage container is arranged in a fluid path between the first pump and the valve device. A third fluid line connects the first pump to the temporary storage container and is filled with a working liquid that does not affect the titration. A second pump conveys a volumetric solution into the titration vessel. An electronic controller controls the first and the second pumps and the valve device to convey a liquid from the first liquid supply into the temporary storage container to transport the liquid into the titration vessel and transport the volumetric solution into the titration vessel to carry out titration.
Formation pressure testing
A pressure testing module separable from and configured to be coupled with a tool base that is to be coupled along a downhole tool string to be conveyed within a wellbore extending into a subterranean formation. The pressure testing module includes a chamber and a piston assembly slidably disposed within the chamber, thus dividing the chamber into a first chamber portion and a second chamber portion. The piston assembly is operable to move in response to hydraulic fluid being pumped into the first chamber portion and to draw formation fluid of the wellbore into the second chamber portion in response to the movement of the piston assembly.
Grease measurement device and method
A method and a device for obtaining and measuring at least one physical property of a sample of grease obtained from a reservoir of grease includes attaching the barrel of a syringe to a first linear actuator and the piston of the syringe to a second linear actuator. The actuators are controllable to move the syringe as a unit along a path. The actuators are also controllable to move the piston relative to the barrel for drawing a grease sample into the syringe or expelling the grease sample from the syringe. The actuators move the syringe to one or more measuring positions along the path to measure one or more physical properties of the grease in the syringe.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ALLERGEN DETECTION
The present invention provides systems, devices, signaling polynucleotides (SPNs), detection agents and methods for detecting the presence and/or absence of one or more allergens in a sample particularly a food sample. The detection system includes a separate sampler, at least one disposable detection vessel for receiving and processing a test sample and a detection device for measuring a fluorescent signal. SPNs derived from aptamer that bind allergens are provided as detection agents. SPNs have a single open structure, and are labeled with a fluorophore. Changes in fluorescence polarization of SPNs upon the binding of allergens are measured to calculate the allergen content in a sample.
METHOD FOR DOSING AN AMOUNT OF LIQUID WITH A PERISTALTIC PUMP
The present disclosure conveys a method for dosing an amount of liquid with a peristaltic pump in an analyzer, wherein the analyzer is configured to determine a concentration of a measurand of a sample, wherein the peristaltic pump includes at least one rotor having at least two rollers, the method comprising the steps: determining the position of at least one roller of the peristaltic pump; moving the rotor of the peristaltic pump to an initial position if it is not already in an initial position; and dosing the amount of liquid to be conveyed by moving the rotor by counting roller passes through a reference position. The present disclosure further discloses an analyzer for implementing the method.
Venturi vacuum device for biological sample collections
Devices and methods for collecting trace amounts of samples are provided. A device can utilize a sterile syringe integrated with a venturi-type vacuum source for sample collection. The device can be used in a variety of applications for collecting specimens that are otherwise difficult to retrieve using conventional sample collecting techniques.
