Measurement Arrangement and Measurement Method for Determining a Constituent Substance or Quality Parameter of Water or Waste Water
Measurement arrangement for determining a constituent substance or quality parameter of water by thermal decomposition in a reaction module, delivery of the reaction product to a detector in a carrier gas flow, and evaluation of a detector signal for deriving a value of the constituent substance or quality parameter, wherein the reaction module is a vessel of vertical orientation during operation having an internal resistance heating or infrared heating, and has a head section into which the sample is introduced, a reaction zone, where the thermal decomposition is performed, as well as a foot section, from which the reaction product is output in the carrier gas flow, wherein the head section of the reaction module has an injection port for temporarily introducing an injection needle or permanently supporting a small supply tube, which injection port comprises an O-ring which is internally spring-loaded by a silicon padding or an inserted spring.
Measurement Arrangement and Measurement Method for Determining a Constituent Substance or Quality Parameter of Water or Waste Water
Measurement arrangement for determining a constituent substance or quality parameter of water by thermal decomposition in a reaction module, delivery of a reaction product to a detector, and evaluation of a detector signal for deriving a value of the constituent substance or quality parameter, wherein the reaction module is an elongated vessel having internal heating, and has a head section into which the sample is introduced, a reaction zone, as well as a foot section, from which the reaction product is output, wherein the reaction module, the heating, and means for the supply of samples and carrier gas are configured such that during the operation of the measurement arrangement an outer head temperature is T.sub.H80 C., and an outer foot temperature is T.sub.F150 C. at a maximum temperature in the reaction zone of T.sub.MAX1150 C.
GRANULAR SOLID SAMPLING DEVICE
A device for the sampling and extraction of a granular solid in a pack of granular solids, containing a sampling probe (1), a sample collector (2) connected to said sampling probe (1), and a controller (3), the sampling probe (1) comprising a sampling tube (4) and at least one transfer tube (5), the sampling tube (4) and transfer tube (5) containing at least one central conduit and at least two lateral conduits, wherein the central conduit (6a) of the sampling tube (4) contains a collection chamber (10) containing a system (11) for retaining the granular solid, and the lateral conduits (7a, 7b) of the sampling tube (4) and transfer tube (5) are connected to a source of gaseous fluid (12) which is capable of extracting the granular solid retained in the collection chamber (10) via the lateral conduits (8a, 8b) of the sampling tube (4) and transfer tube (5).
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR COLLECTING INTER-LIFT LEACH SOLUTIONS
A device and method for recovering a metal-bearing solution from a leaching system is provided. The method includes collecting, using the collector of a solution sampling device, a metal-bearing solution from a leaching system, storing, using the storage reservoir of the solution sampling device, the metal-bearing solution, pressurizing, using an air pressure line of the solution sampling device, the storage reservoir, and discharging, using a solution sampling line of the solution sampling device, the metal-bearing solution from the storage reservoir.
Handheld, underwater suction sampler
A portable, hand-held sampler for collection of aquatic biotic samples. A pump with an exhaust tube and a water intake tube is attached to a frame. A battery is attached to the frame and electrically connected to the pump. A handle is attached to the bottom of the frame for an operator to hold the sampler in one hand. A switch is electrically connected to the pump and to the battery and attached to the frame near the handle for the operator to control activation of the pump with the same single hand. A venturi tube assembly with a sample intake tube is attached to the exhaust tube. The pump draws water into the water intake tube and sample material into the sample intake tube and the venturi tube diverts the sample material away from the pump and into a sample collection reservoir to prevent damage to the sample material.
Method for filling and/or cleaning the measurement cell of a measuring instrument and measuring instrument
A method for fills and/or cleans the measurement cell of a measuring instrument, namely a viscometer and/or density measuring instrument, in particular of a rotational viscometer. A sample is introduced via a sample line into the measurement cell by a pump, and wherein a dynamic viscosity and/or density of the sample is determined in the measurement cell. A funnel-shaped, reversibly openable receiving container, in particular a filling funnel, for the sample, is arranged in the sample line, between the pump and the measurement cell. The receiving container is opened and the sample is introduced into the receiving container. The receiving container is connected to the pump via a pressure line in such a way that, when pressure is applied into the receiving container, a proportion of the sample is dispensed out of the receiving container and introduced into the measurement cell.
CHAMBER FOR INSPECTING LIQUID SUBSTANCE
