DIAMOND SINTERED SAMPLING RELIEF VALVE
A sampling system and relief valve are disclosed. The system can include a bypass loop for receiving a fluid. The system can also include sample receivers. The system further includes a sample extractor configured to obtain a sample of the fluid in the bypass loop to deposit to the one or more sample receivers. The system also includes a relief valve coupled between a fluid outlet of the sample extractor and at least one of the sample receivers. The relief valve includes a valve body having a fluid passage therethrough. The relief valve can also include a stem and a seat disposed in the valve body. The seat is configured to abut against the stem when the stem is biased into a closed position against the seat. At least a portion of the stem of the relief valve is formed of a diamond sintered material.
Sample Conditioning
A process for analysing a hydrocarbon stream comprises: withdrawing a hydrocarbon sample from a hydrocarbon stream; passing the hydrocarbon sample to an analysis device at a target temperature of greater than 120 C. and a target flow rate of greater than 20 litres per minute; and returning the hydrocarbon sample to the hydrocarbon stream. The process may be used for the on-line analysis of crude oil, in order to optimise a refinery operation.
Filtration apparatus
An apparatus for monitoring cells, biological materials, and/or particles in a fluid flow system including a plurality of fluid sampling loops arranged substantially in parallel adapted to allow the fluid to enter each of the plurality of fluid sampling loops sequentially at different time intervals. Each of the plurality of fluid sampling loops includes at least one filtration element adapted to retain the cells, biological materials, and/or particles when the fluid passes through each of the plurality of fluid sampling loops.
Fluid sampling
A fluid sampling device having a first conduit configured to couple an outlet of a fluid source to a sample inlet port; a second conduit configured to couple a sample outlet port to an inlet of the fluid source; an expansion chamber including an inlet and an outlet coupled to the first and second conduits by a valve assembly; and a pressure relief valve configured to couple the outlet of the expansion chamber to the inlet of the fluid source. The fluid sampling device facilitates acquisition of a fluid sample and subsequent purging of its internal components while inhibiting the release of sample fluid to the surrounding environment, thereby protecting the environment and sampling personnel from harmful chemical release. The fluid sampling device may facilitate a sample acquisition process that provides closed-loop flush and expansion operations for obtaining a representative sample at the appropriate fill density of the sample vessel.
CENTRIFUGAL PUMP ASSEMBLY
A centrifugal pump assembly includes an electric motor (2) driving a centrifugal pump (1) and includes an electronics casing (8). In the electronics casing (8), the control electronics (10, 11) for the pump and motor are integrated. A device for detecting particles in a fluid fed via a bypass (6, 7) of a delivery conduit (3) is also in the electronics casing (8).
EASILY INSTALLABLE AND REMOVABLE FLOW ANALYZER FOR HARSH ENVIRONMENTS
A flow analysis system for analyzing fluid from a process flow line includes a flow analyzer, a single point sampler configured to connect to the process flow line, the single point sampler including a sample line having an inflow passage and an outflow passage, an inflow pipe connecting the inflow passage of the sample line to the flow analyzer, and an outflow pipe connecting the flow analyzer to the outflow passage of the sample line.
Speed Loop for Take-Off and Return by Single Pipeline Probe
A post-probe upstream metering pump for insuring phase change completion of a multi-phase fluid such as Natural Gas Liquid (NGL) in a sample conditioning system having a pipeline sample take-off probe for fluid extraction, a sample conditioning unit for conditioning the extracted fluid to a select range of temperature and pressure for analysis of the fluid sample by an associated analyzer without dew point dropout or phase separation, and a metering pump disposed in-line between the sample take-off probe and the sample conditioning unit to pressurize the fluid sample to condense into a substantially fully liquid phase and to reduce lag time between extraction and fluid sample conditioning.
LIQUID SAMPLING CONTAINER WITH INTERNAL MIXER
A liquid sampling container with an internal mixer includes a sealed outer body configured to hold a sample multi-phase fluid obtained from a multi-phase fluid stream. An inlet line is attached to the outer body. The sample multi-phase fluid flows into the sealed outer body through the inlet line. A piston assembly is positioned within the sealed outer body. The piston assembly is sealed to the inner walls of the outer body to define a sample volume in which the sample multi-phase fluid is contained. A shear mixer is positioned within the sealed outer body. The shear mixer includes a rotor and a stator arranged to define a fluid passage and rotatable relative to each other. The rotor includes a rotary shear blade configured to shear the sample multi-phase fluid such that a homogeneity of multiple phases in the sample multi-phase fluid remains substantially constant.
