PATHOGEN DETECTION APPARATUS AND PATHOGEN DETECTION METHOD
A pathogen detection apparatus includes an obtainer that obtains a body temperature of a subject; a collector that collects a pathogen carried by the subject or a pathogen in air around the subject; a detector that performs detection of the pathogen collected by the collector; a reporter that reports a detection result obtained by the detector; and a controller. In a case where the body temperature of the subject obtained by the obtainer is higher than a predetermined threshold value, the controller controls at least one of the collector or the detector to shorten a time period from start of collection by the collector to report of the detection result by the reporter.
PATHOGEN DETECTION APPARATUS AND PATHOGEN DETECTION METHOD
A pathogen detection apparatus includes a collector that collects a pathogen in air; a reactor that causes the pathogen collected by the collector to react with a labeled substance; a time measurer that measures time from start of reaction in the reactor; a detector that detects a quantity of labeled substance that has reacted with the pathogen; and a controller. The controller calculates a gradient value on the basis of a predetermined time period from the start of reaction measured by the time measurer and the quantity of labeled substance detected by the detector, and determines, on the basis of the gradient value, a time interval to next collection that is to be performed by the collector.

An apparatus for analyzing the content of at least one contaminant in a liquid cryogen comprising a cylindrical enclosure, an annular enclosure arranged around the cylindrical enclosure, means for dividing a flow of liquid cryogen in two, means for delivering a first part of the liquid cryogen to the cylindrical enclosure, means for delivering a second part of the liquid cryogen to the annular enclosure, a pipe connected to the cylindrical enclosure to allow vaporized liquid to pass through, a pipe connected to the annular enclosure to allow vaporized liquid to pass through, a heater for heating the cylindrical enclosure vessel and means for stopping the delivery of liquid cryogen to the cylindrical enclosure.
METHOD FOR ANALYZING TRACES OF CONTAMINANTS OF A CRYOGENIC LIQUID
The invention relates to a method for analyzing the content of at least one contaminant in a cryogenic liquid, wherein a known amount of liquid L constituting the initial liquid is injected at the pressure P into an enclosure; a predetermined fraction of the liquid present in the enclosure is vaporized by heating same; the vapor thus generated is discharged from the vaporizing enclosure to maintain a pressure no higher than the pressure P during the vaporization phase; the amount of liquid thus vaporized, less than L, is precisely controlled so that the amount of contaminant in the residual liquid present in the enclosure is substantially equal to that of the initial liquid, which implies that the concentration thereof is multiplied by a previously determined factor; a sample of residual liquid is collected; the contaminant content is measured after total vaporization of the residual liquid sample; and the contaminant content in the initial liquid is deduced from the measurement of contaminant in the residual liquid.
SAMPLE PRETREATMENT METHOD OF MICROEXTRACTION TUBE INJECTION
Disclosed is a sample pretreatment method of microextraction tube injection, comprising providing a capillary micro-extraction tube with extracting medium in it as an injector, passing a sample through the capillary micro-extraction tube, during which an analyte is extracted into an extracting medium inside the capillary micro-extraction tube; then, filling the capillary micro-extraction tube with an organic solvent and keeping the filling for a certain period of time, so that the extracted analyte is dissolved in the organic solvent inside the capillary micro-extraction tube to form an injection solution; finally, keeping one end of the capillary micro-extraction tube sealed and inserting the other end directly into an injection port of a gas chromatography, such that the injection solution is automatically ejected out from the capillary micro-extraction tube into the injection port.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR SAMPLING AIR-BORNE PARTICLES
Apparatus and methods for sampling air-borne particles. According to one embodiment a nozzle is used to generate a jet of fog that includes a gas and liquid droplets. The jet of fog is formed by the nozzle in a way to cause particles in the air surrounding the jet of fog to be drawn into the jet of fog and to further cause the particles to aggregate with the liquid droplets inside the jet of fog. A sample collecting surface is located opposite and spaced apart from an outlet of the nozzle. The sample collecting surface is preferably sloped so that the liquid sample can be forced by gravity off the collecting surface and into a liquid sample container. Inside the jet of fog and on the sample collection surface the liquid droplets merge with one another to form larger sized droplets that are collectable in the liquid sample container.
Method for determining hydrogen sulfide by headspace single-drop liquid phase microextraction and intelligent device colorimetry
The present invention provides a method for determining hydrogen sulfide (H.sub.2S) by headspace single-drop liquid phase microextraction and intelligent device colorimetry, which comprises: taking a silver-gold core-shell triangular nanosheet (Ag@Au TNS) as a nanodetection probe, in combination with an analysis method of headspace single-drop microextraction (HS-SDME), specifically extracting H.sub.2S volatilized from a sample to be detected by the nanodetection probe, and detecting H.sub.2S in the extracted sample with the help of the photographing function of an intelligent device and a color picking software. Compared with the prior art, the present invention adopts intelligent device colorimetry, with the limit of detection of about 65 nM and the linear range of 0.1-100 ?M, and the established method can be applied to the determination of H.sub.2S in actual samples such as egg white, milk and other opaque samples, and has the advantages of few procedures, simple operation, high detection efficiency and the like.
Pressure driven diffusion tube for growing droplet
A droplet generator includes a chamber including an enclosed space filled with gas having vapor, a tube extending through the chamber, a gas flow channel inside the tube, and a heater in the chamber. The tube includes a sidewall having an outer surface exposed to the enclosed space of the chamber, and an inner surface. The tube contains liquid. The heater is operable to change a phase of the liquid contained in the tube to vapor such that the vapor is provided into the enclosed space. A pressure in the enclosed space is higher than a pressure in the gas flow channel such that the vapor in the enclosed space flows to the gas flow channel by passing through the tube.
