Personal care device
This invention relates to a device (1) for performing personal care operations on a subject. The device (1) comprises a handheld base body (3), a driving unit (400) to receive and drive an interchangeable treatment head (2) to perform the personal care operation, a sensor (7) for measuring the amount of current drawn from a motor arrangement (5, 6) while the driving unit (400) is being operated. The device (1) further comprises a control unit (8) operably connected to the sensor (7) and the driving unit (400) and configured to control the driving unit (400). The control unit (8) is configured to identify the individual treatment head (2) fitted on the driving unit (400) by comparing the measured motor current at the predefined measuring time (t1) with at least one predefined current threshold (C).
Soft inflatable exosuit for knee rehabilitation
A soft-inflatable exosuit for knee rehabilitation is fabricated in two different beam-like structures (I and O cross-section actuators) and mechanically characterized for their torque performance in knee-extension assistance. The fabrication procedure of both types of actuators is presented as well as their integration into a light-weight, low-cost and body-conforming interface. To detect the activation duration of the device during the gait cycle, a soft-silicone insole with embedded force-sensitive resistors (FSRs) is used. In evaluation studies, the soft inflatable exosuit device is tested for its ability to reduce muscle activity during the swing phase of the knee. Using sEMG (surface electromyography) sensors, the rectus femoris muscle group of a healthy individual is recorded while walking on a treadmill at a constant speed, with and without the soft device.
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE TOOL
Myofascial release tools may include a head covering and coupled to a post. The head may be constructed of at least partially of a polymeric material having a therapeutically effective durometer. The head may have a number of designs and configurations that may be used for treating different body parts and/or body tissues. An example head may have a partially concave portion that resembles an indent. Another example head may have an angled tip for more pointed therapy. Yet another example head may have a partially convex portion. These heads may be interchangeably and removably coupled to an oscillating device and used for myofascial release by a health care provider or patient.
FASCIA TISSUE FITNESS DEVICES
A fascia tissue fitness device may include a bar member, at least one flower member connected to the bar member along a plane, where the flower member(s) include multiple finger members that are rigid and extend outward from the bar member. Means for dispensing a lubricant from the bar member
Apparatus for carrying out treatments on the human body
Apparatus for carrying out treatments on the human body, which includes a central unit provided with a compressor and two operational heads, each provided with a plate intended to contact the skin of the patient to be treated, and susceptible of being temperature-conditioned with a corresponding hot or cold fluid. Moreover, each operational head is provided with a plurality of pneumatic actuators, which are operable to move, in a retracted position and in a protruding position, by corresponding solenoid valves which are housed in the operational head, and are connected to the compressor (9) and to the corresponding pneumatic actuators.
Abdominal Exercise Device with Integrated Back Massager
An abdominal exercising apparatus should allow the user to strengthen their abdominal and oblique muscles in a comfortable manner. The present invention seeks to strengthen the stomach muscles and do so in a comfortable manner that allows the user of the invention to exercise in an upright seated position, while also providing a massage of the user's back muscles along each side of their spine. The present invention can be used on a bench, chair, couch, or other seating apparatus where it can be used in comfort and while engaged in other passive activities, such as, watching TV. An added benefit of the present invention is that it provides massaging of the muscles on both sides of the user's spine as it is used.
Detachable and interchangeable hand-and-foot massager for separate use
A detachable and interchangeable hand-and-foot massager for separate use includes a main body and a massager, the massager includes a hand massager and a foot massager. The hand massager or the foot massager is detachably mounted on the main body. The main body includes an upper cover of the main body, a base of the main body, an inflation and deflation device, and a massage device for hands and foot. The upper cover of the main body is buckled on the base of the main body, and the upper cover of the main body is provided with an embedded slot. The hand massager or the foot massager includes a massager upper cover, a massager bottom cover and an airbag assembly. The massager bottom cover is provided with a block, and the connector is fixedly mounted in the block. The main body and the massager can freely disassembled and combined.
Pain management device
The invention relates to a pain management device with a body portion having an hourglass shaped, elongated handle with an arm at one end for releasably attaching one or more treatment attachments, one or more generally planar scraping wings for Gua Sha treatment, and a motor inside configured to impart vibration in each of several modes optimized for vibration therapy. The invention may also include a kit with the pain management device, and one or more treatment attachments designed for unilateral or bilateral vibration application adjacent to trigeminal and/or vagus nerves. The treatment attachment may have two or more pivotable arms that extend along an axis generally perpendicular to the elongated handle when attached to the pain management device.
Vibrating Therapeutic Apparel
A therapeutic apparel article is configured with a supple wearable fabric article that can be configured over limb or nub of an amputated limb. The therapeutic apparel article is configured with a plurality of nodes for detachably attaching vibrating devices thereto. In addition, a control unit having a power source may be detachably attached to the wearable fabric article. A conductive network may extend from the control unit and/or the power source to provide electrical power to the nodes and the vibrating devices attached. A user may attach vibrating devices to various nodes of the wearable fabric article as desired. In addition, the vibrating devices and the control unit can be detached from the wearable fabric article to enable the wearable fabric article to be washed.
