A method that includes receiving treatment data associated with a user capable of using a treatment device to perform a treatment plan. The method also includes receiving user related data (URD) associated with the use and receiving alignment data associated with the user while the user engages in at least one activity. The method also includes identifying, based on at least the treatment data, the URD, and the alignment data, at least one alignment characteristic associated with the user and modifying at least one aspect of the treatment plan in response to receiving, from a healthcare professional, treatment plan input including at least one modification to the at least one aspect of the treatment plan.
Monitoring the cooling of subcutaneous lipid-rich cells, such as the cooling of adipose tissue
A system and method of monitoring, controlling and/or detecting events during the removal of heat from subcutaneous lipid-rich tissue is described. In some examples, the system detects an increase in temperature at a treatment device in contact with the skin of a subject, determines that the increase in temperature is related to a treatment event, and performs an action based on the determination. In some examples, the system shuts off the treatment device, alerts an operator, or reduces the cooling in response to a determined treatment event.
Brace having integrated remote patient monitoring technology and method of using same
A brace configured for attachment to a joint of a subject is provided. The brace includes a first arm having a first end and a second end. The brace includes a second arm having a first end and a second end. The brace includes a hinge assembly coupling the first end of the first arm with the first end of the second arm such that the first arm and the second arm are movable to different relative angular orientations. The brace includes a potentiometer coupled to the hinge assembly. A method of monitoring a relative angular orientation of a first arm of a brace relative to a second arm of the brace is also provided. The method includes monitoring an output of a potentiometer coupled to one of the first arm and the second arm.
MEDICAL VAST AND USING METHOD THEREOF
A medical vast and using method thereof. The medical vest has a clothe capable of surrounding the chest of a user's body, one or more vibration devices located in the clothe respectively and a motion sensor located in the clothe. Hence, when a user wears the medical vest and/or when the user actives one or more vibration devices to apply a net vibration force to the users' chest, the motion sensor may detect the user's real posture and/or both the vibration intensity and/or the vibration frequency of the vibration force applied to the user's chest. Accordingly, the user may adjust the vibration intensity and/or the vibration frequency of one or more vibration devices, also may adjust how the clothe is worn on the user's chest.
EXOSKELETON COMPRISING A PLURALITY OF AUTONOMOUSLY OPERABLE MODULES
An exoskeleton (1) having a plurality of autonomously operable modules (2.sub.RK, 2.sub.LK, 2.sub.RH, 2.sub.LH) each having a dedicated controller (23.sub.RK, 23.sub.LK, 23.sub.RH, 23.sub.LH) connected to an actuated joint. The exoskeleton (1) further having a multimaster electrical communicator (3) between the controllers (23.sub.RK, 23.sub.LK, 23.sub.RH, 23.sub.LH) of the modules (2.sub.RK, 2.sub.LK, 2.sub.RH, 2.sub.LH). The controller (23.sub.RK, 23.sub.LK, 23.sub.RH, 23.sub.LH) of each module (2.sub.RK, 2.sub.LK, 2.sub.RH, 2.sub.LH) is configured for: collecting information from sensors; sharing information with the remaining modules through the multimaster electrical communicator (3); determining which other modules (2.sub.RK, 2.sub.LK, 2.sub.RH, 2.sub.LH) are present; and autonomously calculating and commanding a desired trajectory of the actuated joint of the module (2.sub.RK, 2.sub.LK, 2.sub.RH, 2.sub.LH) for assisting the movement of the corresponding biological joint in coordination with the kinematic condition of other biological joints.
CARESS AND THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE APPARATUS AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
An apparatus and method for applying caresses and massages, comprising an apparatus composed of a fixed lower section, which acts as a base, contains the lifting mechanisms, and houses a movable upper section, with a housing that accommodates the rest of the components of the device; a SCARA-type deployable robotic arm housed in the upper section and composed by a plurality of staggered parallel links and articulated at their ends by a power transmission mechanism comprised by motors with belts placed on pulleys coupled to concentric hollow shafts. The upper section is placed on a sliding and rotary platform that supports and guides it on the vertical axis through a vertical lead screw lifting mechanism, also allowing it to rotate on its own axis. The apparatus performs the movements by implementing a method of preset caress and massage patterns assisted by artificial intelligence and guided by several sensors.
AUTOMATED GENERATION OF CONTROL SIGNALS FOR SEXUAL STIMULATION DEVICES
A system and method for controlling the speed of operation of sexual stimulation devices from videos of sexual activity using a less computationally-intensive method of estimating movement speed from a video. In an embodiment, the system and method involve estimating movement in a video using pixel-by-pixel color change over time, calculating a rate of color change in the video, estimating a speed of movement in the video from the rate of color change, and applying an algorithm to convert the estimated speed of movement in the video to a speed of operation of a sexual stimulation device.
Exoskeleton device emulation system
An exoskeleton system includes a cable, an exoskeleton device, a controller, and a motor. The exoskeleton device includes a frame comprising a first portion coupled to a second portion by a joint, a first crossbar supported by the first portion of the frame, and a second crossbar supported by the second portion of the frame. The first crossbar is configured to redirect the cable toward the second crossbar, and the cable is configured to affix to the second crossbar. The motor is connected to the cable and configured to cause the cable to provide a torque about the joint. The controller controls the motor to adjust the torque. The cable provides the torque by exerting a first force on the first crossbar and a second force on the second crossbar. The cable provides the torque about the joint in a first direction.
Systems and methods for treating nausea and vomiting
A wearable stimulator device can be used to treat nausea and vomiting resulting from pregnancy, gastroparesis, virtual reality use, motion sickness, chemotherapy, and post-surgical nausea and vomiting, or other conditions by stimulating the P6 point of a user's forearm. A method of treating nausea includes monitoring one or more physiological parameters of a user via a wearable device, for example a smartwatch. Based on the one or more physiological parameters, the P6 point of the user's forearm can be stimulated for a predetermined time, for example via vibrational stimulation effected via a smartwatch or other wearable device. Data regarding the user's physiological parameters, stimulation sessions, and user-provided input regarding treatment efficacy and user symptoms can be collected and analyzed at scale to develop improved treatment regimes, for example modifying stimulation waveforms and/or timing, and identifying physiological parameters useful for predicting the onset of nausea.
