The personal massage apparatus is configured to collect data based on a user's use of the apparatus and transmit said data to a second device, such as a mobile phone, for collection and analysis.

SYSTEM, METHOD AND COMPUTER ASSISTED MEDIA IN USE WITH A ROBOTIC THERAPY UNIT FOR ACCOMPLISHING MUSCLE LENGTHENING CONDUCTED ACCORDING TO BEST PRACTICE PROTOCOLS
20220151869 · 2022-05-19 ·

A robotic system, assembly and computer assisted media for providing therapeutic treatment not limited to muscle lengthening. An adjustable probe is mounted to a carriage, in turn supported in width and depth extending relationship upon a portable trolley supported frame or other movable carriage which can be positioned over a patient support device for applying treatment to a given patient muscle areas according input parameters selected from any of heat, cold, vibration (frequency), pulse pressure and duration. A processor input for any of a PC, tablet, laptop or smartphone with mobile application communicates with the software component for providing directions to actuate the probe to apply a treatment protocol. The input can be communicated remotely via NFC, Bluetooth or Cloud capabilities with a remote care provider or ACO organization.

HIP CPM MACHINE
20230263686 · 2023-08-24 ·

A method and device or machine for safely providing or performing the motion of circumduction as well as linear hip flexion/extension to a patient in need is provided. The device or machine (used interchangeable herein) is preferably a continuous passive movement device. The device gives full support to the operative leg and controls the true amount of hip external/internal rotation by keeping the hip in a neutral position, relative to rotation. In operation, the patient is typically in a side-lying position with the operative leg on top. In this position, the motion of circumduction as well as linear hip flexion/extension can then be performed on the patients safely and effectively. Other positions of the patient can be used and will usually be patient specific.

Implantable electroacupuncture system and method

A method comprises generating, by an implantable stimulator, stimulation sessions at a duty cycle that is less than 0.05 and applying, by the implantable stimulator, the stimulation sessions to a patient. The duty cycle is a ratio of T3 to T4. Each stimulation session included in the stimulation sessions has a duration of T3 minutes and occurs at a rate of once every T4 minutes.

Exoskeleton for assisting human movement

The invention relates to an exoskeleton for assisting human movement, which can be fitted to the user in terms of dimensions, tension and ranges of joint motion, either manually or automatically. The exoskeleton can be fitted to the user in the anteroposterior direction in the sagittal plane, with the user in a horizontal or sitting position, without requiring a functional transfer. The exoskeleton has a modular design which is compatible with human biomechanics and reproduces a natural and physiological movement in the user, with up to 7 actuated and controlled degrees of movement per limb, ensuring that the user maintains equilibrium during locomotion.

SKIN CLEANSER
20220133096 · 2022-05-05 ·

A skin cleanser includes a surface, such as a silicone surface, with at least one textured portion for transmitting vibrational tapping to the skin. The skin cleanser includes at least one oscillating motor for generating the tapping motion to the skin. The textured portion includes touch-points or a wave that transmit the tapping motion to skin in contact with the textured portions. The touch-points may include thicker and thinner formations of the touch-points to provide firmer or softer vibrations to the skin. The touch-points are within about 0.5 to 2.5 mm in diameter. One configuration includes multiple oscillating motors configured to provide different vibration frequencies at around 50-300 Hertz and operable simultaneously.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR APPLYING MANIPULATIVE MYOFASCIAL THERAPY
20220133581 · 2022-05-05 · ·

In one embodiment, a handheld device for applying therapy includes a housing, a handle coupled to the housing, a motor supported in the housing, a movable head coupled to the motor, and a contact pad of high-friction, grippy, non-slip material supported on the movable head. The motor is operable to impart to the movable head and the contact pad one or more of translational, rotational, or revolutionary motions that are generally in a plane parallel to the skin of a patient during operation.

Pressure field stimulation device

Embodiments of the improved stimulation device include a cup and a driver. The cup has a cavity surrounded by a rim. The driver comprises a plate disposed on an underside of the cup, a cam disposed adjacent to the plate, and a motor mechanically coupled to the cam. The driver is configured to intermittently vary a volume of the cavity of the cup from a first volume to a second volume without returning the cup from the second volume to the first volume. In some embodiments, the cup returns from the second volume to the first volume, in between intermittent varying from the first volume to the second volume, due to the resilient nature of the material of the cup and/or the configuration of the cup. This varying of the volume between the first and second volumes creates a pressure field in a chamber formed by the cavity and a user's skin.

FLUID STIMULATION METHODS AND DEVICES FOR TREATING FLUID OVERLOAD
20230240937 · 2023-08-03 ·

Methods for treating fluid overload in a subject comprise shifting fluids directly and non-invasively from an interstitial compartment of the subject to skin of the subject through controlled local sweating. Methods of the invention allow for removal of excess fluid from the interstitial compartment of the subject and treat fluid overload in the subject. Sweat stimulation systems comprise a chamber and first and second relative humidity sensors. The chamber is sized to fit around a body part of a subject, comprises an inlet and an outlet, and is configured such that air flows through the chamber from the inlet to the outlet. The first relative humidity sensor is operably located inside the inlet, and the second relative humidity sensor is operably located proximate the outlet.

SMART WALKING FOOT ASSEMBLY WITH DYNAMIC FEEDBACK

Smart walking devices, assemblies, and methods of using the same. Improved partial weight bearing requirements while using a walking aid may be provided. An example smart foot assembly may include a tubular sheath with a spring assembly connected to a foot with a force sensor coupled to the spring assembly wherein during a load phase as the distal end of the foot contacts the ground, the foot moves proximally as load is increased.
