Posture improving device to attach to a walker
A device to be added to a walker. The device is used to monitor, correct, and improve the user's posture. The device is removably affixed to the walker and includes a pair of grips which monitor the amount of weight applied to the grips. The device further tracks the weight applied to the grips over time and provides feedback of the weight to the user via the monitor.
Methods, systems, apparatuses, and devices for facilitating stress-adaptive virtual exerience stations
A system for facilitating stress-adaptive virtual experience station includes a virtual display system and camera system coupled to a kinematic rig. An array of transducers coupled to the station interact with a user based on a feedback signal, configured for user health treatments, audio effects, or computational imaging techniques.
HAND MOUNTED CPR CHEST COMPRESSION MONITOR
A chest compression monitor for measuring the depth of chest compressions achieved during CPR. A displacement detector produces a displacement signal indicative of the displacement of the CPR recipient's chest toward the recipient's spine. A signaling mechanism provides chest compression indication signals prompting a CPR provider to provide a chest compression force at a desired depth and rate. The device is held to the dorsal surface of the hand during use and provides a display for feedback, which is readily visible to the CPR provider.
Upper limb training apparatus
An upper limb training apparatus includes a training apparatus main body that includes a base frame, and an operation rod to be operated by a trainee by hand. A chair is positioned in a right or in a left arm training position relative to the training apparatus main body. A monitor stand extends upward from the base frame. A monitor arm is provided in the monitor stand, and supports the monitor such that the position of the monitor can be adjusted in both right and left directions.
Narrowband ultraviolet sauna
Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed herein for ultraviolet saunas. Systems include a plurality of walls of an enclosure, the enclosure being a sauna enclosure configured to accommodate a user. The systems further include a plurality of heating elements coupled to the plurality of walls, a plurality of emissive elements configured to generate ultraviolet (UV) light, and a controller coupled to the plurality of heating elements and the plurality of emissive elements. The controller includes one or more processors configured to generate activation properties for each of the plurality of heating elements and the plurality of emissive elements, activate at least one of the plurality of heating elements based on the plurality of activation properties, and activate the at least one emissive element based on the plurality of activation properties.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THERMOELECTRIC SEQUENTIAL COMPRESSION DEVICES AND INTEGRATED THERMOELECTRIC SEQUENTIAL COMPRESSION DEVICES
A thermoelectric sequential compression device includes a plurality of inflatable bladders arranged in a respective zone of the thermoelectric sequential compression device; a plurality of thermoelectric modules, each of the plurality of thermoelectric modules including a temperature sensor and a foam sheet; and a plurality of channels that are fluidly coupled between the plurality of inflatable bladders and the plurality of thermoelectric modules. A first channel selected from the plurality of channels includes a heat exhaust channel. Each of the plurality of thermoelectric modules are independently controlled to sequentially supply air to a respective inflatable bladder of the respective zone via the plurality of channels.
Dry eye treatment apparatus and methods
Dry eye treatment apparatus and methods which include one or more patches or strips affixed to the skin of the upper and/or lower eyelids to deliver heat or other forms of energy, pressure, drugs, moisture, etc. (alone or in combination) to the one or more meibomian glands contained within the underlying skin. The one or more patches or strips may allow for the subject to blink naturally without restriction from the one or more patches or strips. The one or more patches or strips may be shaped to follow a location of one or more meibomiam glands contained within the underlying region of skin.
THERAPEUTIC SEAT CUSHION EQUIPPED FOR PRESSURE MONITORING AND INFLATION SYSTEM FOR SAME
A seat cushion includes a plurality of inflatable cells, a pumping mechanism, and a manifold or valve system fluidly between the pumping mechanism and the inflatable cells. The manifold or the valve system, which may include a clutch and a motor, connect the pumping mechanism with the inflatable cells such that a plurality of zones are created. A valve assembly can include a plurality of valves and is adjustable among at least three valve configurations to vary fluid connections to the inflatable cells to produce rearwardly advancing waves. The pumping action produced by the inflation and deflation of the inflatable cells assists in pumping blood in a user's legs back toward the heart.
DRY EYE TREATMENT APPARATUS AND METHODS
Dry eye treatment apparatus and methods are described herein which generally comprise a patch or strip affixed to the skin of the upper and/or lower eyelids to deliver heat or other forms of energy, pressure, drugs, moisture, etc. (alone or in combination) to the one or more meibomian glands contained within the underlying skin. The treatment strip or strips include one or more strips configured to adhere to an underlying region of skin in proximity to one or both eyes of a subject such that the one or more strips allow for the subject to blink naturally without restriction from the one or more patches. Moreover, the one or more strips may be configured to emit energy to the underlying region of skin and where the one or more strips are shaped to follow a location of one or more meibomiam glands contained within the underlying region of skin.
Walking assistance method and apparatuses
A walking assistance apparatus is configured to adaptively control at least one of a length or a stiffness based on a gait motion of a user to assist an upper body of the user.
