MUSICAL TEETHER
The invention is concerned with a musical teether for infant. It has a body member including one or more regions or projections on which an infant can bite in use for soothing purpose and a musical unit. The body member is configured to receive or otherwise accommodate the musical unit which is removably engageable with the body member. The teether further has means for transmitting vibrational musical signal from the musical unit to the body member for onward transmission to teeth of the infant, then to jaw bones and skull of the infant, and then to ear bones of the infant, such that the infant can, while biting on the teeth, receive vibrational musical signal arisen from direct vibration on the ear bones of the infant.
MASSAGE MACHINE
A massage machine includes a massage portion that performs a massage with respect to a user and a first storage section that stores a first massage course that corresponds to a musical piece. The musical piece is subject to a selection by the user. The massage machine includes a control unit that is configured to control an operation of the massage portion based on the first massage course. The massage machine may include a second storage section that stores data of the musical piece. The first massage course stored in the first storage section may be formed based on a variation of an acoustic signal included in the data of the musical piece stored in the second storage section. In this case, the control unit may be configured to execute the second massage course.
BATH MASSAGE CHAIR AND PILLOW
A bath massage chair includes a pillow, a back support configured to support a torso of the user when the user is seated in the bath massage chair, and a seat coupled to the lower portion of the back support. The pillow includes a pillow massage system and a pillow heating element configured to heat the pillow. The back support includes an upper portion coupled to the pillow and a lower portion opposite the upper portion, a back massage system configured to massage the torso of the user, and a back heating element configured to heat the back support. The seat is configured to support a lower body of the user when the user is seated in the bath massage chair. The pillow massage system, pillow heating element, back massage system, and back heating element are operably coupled to a controller.
Combination respiratory therapy device, system, and method
A combination respiratory therapy management system creates a combined respiratory therapy prescription that can be executed by a combined respiratory therapy device to provide multiple coordinated respiratory therapies to a patient. The system can update the combined respiratory therapy prescription and implement the updates while the combined respiratory therapy device is in use. Some versions of the system provide additional features that allow the combined respiratory therapy prescriptions to be created, accessed, shared with other users, and performed by the combination respiratory therapy device in a customizable user-friendly and non-threatening way.
Systems and methods for automatic fit adjustment of a wearable device
Systems and methods for automatic adjustment of a wearable device are provided. One embodiment of a method includes determining whether a navigation sensor is in a desired position and, in response to determining that the navigation sensor is not in a desired position, determining a desired modification to the navigation sensor for achieving the desired position. Some embodiments include determining a change of a repositioning device for achieving the desired modification to the navigation sensor and actuating the repositioning device to implement the change.
Integrated resuscitation
An example of a CPR data recording system includes a hand-held chest compression measurement device and an external computing device communicatively coupled to the hand-held chest compression measurement device. The hand-held chest compression measurement device includes a housing, a motion sensor, a communication device, a memory disposed within the housing, and a processor disposed within the housing. The processor is configured to process a signal output from the motion sensor, calculate chest compression data from the processed signal output, evaluate the chest compression data after a delay from a start of the chest compressions to identify chest compressions that satisfy a pre-determined quality criterion, record the chest compression data in the memory, and send the recorded chest compression data to the external computing device via the communication device. The external computing device is configured to enable a review of the chest compression data.
Breathing biofeedback device
A breathing biofeedback device, having a microphone configured to acquire sounds of a user's breathing; a controller communicatively connected with the microphone, the controller processing the signals acquired by the microphone to produce an output signal, the controller processing the signal whereby the microphone signal is first pre-amplified to a voltage level that can be processed by an audio envelope detector circuit, the envelope detector signal is then fed into the analog-to-digital converter input of the controller allowing it to constantly sample the input volume level, the controller then controlling the output volume level fed to the headphones utilizing a digitally controlled variable-gain amplifier, wherein the output signal is not modified in any manner from the original input, except in volume; and a pair of earphones connected with the controller and configured to convey the output signal to the user.
White cane navigational device for the visually impaired
An improved white cane includes an elongate body having a proximal end adapted to be held by or secured to a human user and a distal tip, and a noise generator located proximate the distal tip, the noise generator being configured to generate sound within a range of frequencies audible to humans. The user is able to interpret differences in reflected sound as the white cane is moved about the user's surroundings to obtain more information about the surroundings than could be obtained using a normal white cane. Additionally, the information about the surroundings may become available to the user before that information might otherwise have been available to the user using a standard white cane.
Customized skin care and method to provide same
Methods to provide customized skin care by using specimen dispensing device to dispense specimens from removable dispensers for the purpose of treating skin of a user are presented. Methods to utilize the embedded memory and electrical interface of the dispensing device and dispensers to produce customizable skin care products that give better skin treatment results are also presented. The invention may also be applied to health care and personal care needs.
RESONATING MEDITATION PLATFORM
This Invention is designed to provide relaxation and sound healing properties to person while they practice seated meditation on a low profile and portable platform. The platform can play stereo sounds while transferring the sounds resonant vibrations to the user via direct contact to the platforms top surface. This is achieved by a combination of any top surface material capable of resonating such as wood or slate, which is also capable of supporting the user and the use of powered sound exciters designed for the sole purpose of producing sound via connection to such a surface. This platform is primarily designed to enhance the practice of meditation to help reduce stress and create a deep sense of relaxation peace and well being.
