Intersection blind-guiding system, blind-guiding method and blind-guiding terminal
An intersection blind-guiding system includes: a blind-guiding terminal, a plurality of blind road sensors, and a processor configured to be coupled to the blind road sensors. The blind-guiding terminal includes a blind-guiding terminal sensor configured to transmit a sensing signal. The blind road sensors include at least one first blind road sensor and at least one second blind road sensor. The blind road sensors are configured to separately receive the sensing signal transmitted by the blind-guiding terminal sensor, and upload corresponding sensing information. The processor is configured to receive the sensing information uploaded by the blind road sensors, locate a current position of a blind person carrying the blind-guiding terminal, determine a direction in which the blind person previously traveled, determine geographic distribution information of the current position of the blind person, and send a command carrying the geographical distribution information.
Exoskeleton and mounting arrangement
There is disclosed a mobility aid for use by a user having a lower body amputation site. The mobility aid includes a lower body exoskeleton (LBE). The LBE has a pelvic support structure and a first leg and a second leg. Each of the first and second legs are movably coupled to the pelvic support structure, wherein at least the first and second legs are selectively actuable to move the lower body exoskeleton relative to a surface on which the mobility aid is positioned. The LBE also includes a carrier selectively positionable with respect to the lower body exoskeleton and, which in use, supports the user at or about an amputation site; and a harness system configured to, when in use, secure the user to the lower body exoskeleton.
STRUCTURE FOR THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS
Disclosed is a structure for therapeutic applications comprising at least one layer with sensor elements and heating elements. A first force affects the layer from one side and a second force affects the layer from the other side. The forces are detectable. The sensor elements can comprise, for example, position sensors, pressure sensors, and temperature sensors.
Non-Visual Virtual-Reality System for Navigation Training and Assessment
A navigation system for a blind individual to guide the individual through a virtual environment, includes a transponder adapted to be carried by the individual, a tracking system for determining the position of said transponder within the virtual environment, and a feedback system coupled to said transponder to generate a non-visual sensory signal indicative of said position of said transponder. The transponder has a primary sensor direction that is aimed by the individual, and the non-visual sensory signal provides indications of virtual objects aligned with said primary sensor direction, whereby the individual may be guided to find or avoid virtual objects in said virtual environment.
SYSTEM FOR ASSISTING MOBILITY-IMPAIRED INDIVIDUAL AND METHODS OF USE
The present invention discloses a system for assisting a mobility-impaired individual or a patient. The system includes a track that mounts to a ceiling or wall of a structure such as a home. The track receives a sliding mechanism. The sliding mechanism connects to a strap hanging arrangement. The strap hanging arrangement connects to a vest. The vest connects to a leg support mechanism. The mobility-impaired individual wears the vest and the leg support mechanism. The sliding mechanism includes a lift strap for adjusting the height of the strap hanging arrangement thereby allowing the mobility-impaired individual to be placed in a sitting position or standing position. The mechanically driven mechanism moves along the track allowing the mobility-impaired individual to move around the structure.
Apparatus for Treating Knee Abnormalities
A method of treating knee abnormalities includes securing the portion of the leg above the knee to a stationary object and securing the portion of the leg below the knee to a movable support. A force is applied to the movable support to stretch the knee joint. An apparatus for carrying out the method is also disclosed. The apparatus may be fitted with a controller system which allows the apparatus to be operated wirelessly from a mobile device running a mobile application, which may communicate with a web-based portal and/or database.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR ELECTRICALLY INSULATING A POWER LINE
An insulation application assembly for applying insulation to a power line employs an open-ended enclosure to partly surround a segment of the power line. The assembly employs an insulation material conveying mechanism to move insulation material from insulation storage to the insulation material applicator connected to the interior surface of the open-ended enclosure.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation assisting apparatus
A cardiopulmonary resuscitation assisting apparatus including: an acceleration sensor (13); a magnetic sensor (19); a first calculation section (233A) which obtains a relational expression (N) between a compression depth Da and the coil-to-coil distance AD; a determination section (234) which differentiates the relational expression (N) with respect to an output value of the magnetic sensor (19) and compares a resulting differentiated value of the relational expression (N) with a predetermined threshold to thereby determine whether notification for assistance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation is necessary or not; and a voice generating section (25) which performs the notification for assistance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Restorative apparatus with method for male tissue growth
An apparatus allows a method for encouraging tissue growth in the penis and strengthening male urinary continence. An activation module encompassing a vacuum chamber is operatively connected with a vacuum pump and a vibration motor. A control module directs the operations of the vacuum pump and vibration module such that vacuum and vibration are applied to a user's penis in the vacuum chamber. Proper order of application of intervals of vacuum and vibration over multiple cycles characterizes performing the methods of the invention. Applying appropriate levels of vacuum and vibration over cycles and intervals within cycles also characterizes the invention.
LUMBAR RETRACTOR
A lumbar retractor according to an embodiment comprises: a first fixing part for fixing the user's lumbar regions; a second fixing part for fixing the user's pelvic regions; and a connection part disposed between the first fixing part and the second fixing part to connect the first fixing part and the second fixing part, wherein the distance between the first fixing part and the second fixing part can be adjusted by changing the length of the connection part, and the first fixing part can press each of a plurality of segments of the user's lumbar regions individually.
