Sensor device and walking assist device using the sensor device
Sensor devices closely attached to a body of a user, and walking assist devices such sensor devices may be provided. For example, a sensor device including a sensor configured to sense physical information of the user, and a support configured to provide an elastic force to the sensor such that the sensor closely attached to the body regardless pf a movement of the user, and enable the sensor to sense the physical information of the user with relative accuracy may be provided.
WEARABLE LOWER EXTREMITY EXOSKELETON
A wearable lower extremity exoskeleton for regenerating a lower body motion functionality of paraplegic patients is provided. The wearable lower extremity exoskeleton has four active DOF and each DOF provided by an actuator disposed around a hip level and a back and/or a front of a user and provided by articulations.
CARESS AND THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE APPARATUS AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
An apparatus and method for applying caresses and massages, comprising an apparatus composed of a fixed lower section, which acts as a base, contains the lifting mechanisms, and houses a movable upper section, with a housing that accommodates the rest of the components of the device; a SCARA-type deployable robotic arm housed in the upper section and composed by a plurality of staggered parallel links and articulated at their ends by a power transmission mechanism comprised by motors with belts placed on pulleys coupled to concentric hollow shafts. The upper section is placed on a sliding and rotary platform that supports and guides it on the vertical axis through a vertical lead screw lifting mechanism, also allowing it to rotate on its own axis. The apparatus performs the movements by implementing a method of preset caress and massage patterns assisted by artificial intelligence and guided by several sensors.
ADJUSTABLE PISTON
Techniques and devices for extending a piston and/or compression unit, for example connected to a medical device such as a mechanical CPR device, to accommodate different sized patients, are described herein. In some cases, a piston of a mechanical CPR device may include an inner piston at least partially slidable into an external piston sleeve. In one aspect, some aspects, the piston includes sleeves which can move relative to each other to extend the piston. In additional aspects, the compression mechanism may also extend downward toward the patient. In all aspects, the change in length of the piston may be detected and used to modify movement of the piston, for example to more safely perform mechanical CPR.
Exoskeleton device emulation system
An exoskeleton system includes a cable, an exoskeleton device, a controller, and a motor. The exoskeleton device includes a frame comprising a first portion coupled to a second portion by a joint, a first crossbar supported by the first portion of the frame, and a second crossbar supported by the second portion of the frame. The first crossbar is configured to redirect the cable toward the second crossbar, and the cable is configured to affix to the second crossbar. The motor is connected to the cable and configured to cause the cable to provide a torque about the joint. The controller controls the motor to adjust the torque. The cable provides the torque by exerting a first force on the first crossbar and a second force on the second crossbar. The cable provides the torque about the joint in a first direction.
End effector with embedded power source
End effectors and systems including end effectors including embedded batteries and auxiliary components powered by the batteries are described. In an example, the end effector includes a base portion coupleable to a motor carried by an appliance that is separate from the end effector; and a battery disposed in the base portion configured to power an auxiliary component of the end effector.
Male and female sexual aid with wireless capabilities
Described herein are interactive devices that mimic a portion of a human male and a female genitalia. The male device includes a unique bead drive assembly for providing an extending and retracting motion. Also included on the male device is a massager sub-assembly able to inflate and deflate while being able to slide along a shaft of the male device. The female device includes a clamshell constrictor having an inflation mechanism that is able to provide a squeezing motion as well as being able to slide back and forth within the body of the female device. Also disclosed herein are methods of communication and interaction between a pair of interactive devices or multiple interactive devices. Finally, methods of managing interactive sessions between multiple interactive devices are also described.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR IDENTIFYING A MOTION PATTERN OF A PERSON
A device and a method for identifying a motion pattern of a person that allow suitable feedback about an identified motion pattern to be produced in real time, to address the disadvantage that there is no provision for direct feedback to the person in the event of abnormal behavior being detected. This is achieved by virtue of a device for identifying a motion pattern of a person having at least one sensor for capturing motion parameters and at least one evaluation unit, which is couplable to the at least one sensor, for evaluating the motion parameters and for producing a motion pattern.
MIRROR TREATMENT DEVICE AND MIRROR TREATMENT SYSTEM
A mirror therapy device includes a first positioning assembly, a second positioning assembly and a transmission assembly connecting the first and second positioning assemblies. The first and second positioning assemblies are arranged in opposition to each other in such a manner that both are able to reciprocate. The first positioning assembly is configured for positioning of a healthy limb of a patient, and the second positioning assembly is configured for positioning of an affected limb of the patient. The transmission assembly is configured for power transmission between the first and second positioning assemblies so that the second positioning assembly moves in synchronization with the first positioning assembly under the action of the transmission assembly. A mirror therapy system includes the mirror therapy device and a display device. The mirror therapy system enables the healthy limb to drive movement of the affected limb to allow the affected limb to repeat the same movements as the healthy limb, thus establishing neural connections for synchronous vision, motor perception and proprioception of the patient's healthy and affected sides and better stimulating nerve recovery of the patient.
System and device for guiding and detecting motions of 3-DOF rotational target joint
Examples of a device for guiding and detecting a motion of a target joints and a motion assistance system such motion guiding devices are described. The motion guiding and detecting device comprises a motion generator and a motion transfer and target interfacing unit to transfer the motion generated by the motion generator to the target joint. The system further includes a motion detection and feedback unit that interfaces with the target, and a controller that interfaces with both the feedback unit and the motion generator to control and coordinate the motion of the motion generator and the target joint.
