The device (1) comprises: a patient side (3) for engagement with the chest of the patient; and a user side (2) for engagement with the hands of a user delivering CPR to the patient; and an actuator configured to at least partially alter the external form of one or more of the patient side (3) and the user side (2) so as to regulate a shape profile of the one or more of the patient side (3) and the user side (2). According to other aspects, there is provided a control method for a cardiopulmonary resuscitation, CPR, device and a computer program which, when executed on a computing device, carries out a control method for a cardiopulmonary resuscitation, CPR, device.
Rigidifying brace
A passive stent for retaining an organ in an expanded state configured to adhere and substantially conform to an external surface of the organ may include an inner layer, an outer layer, and a middle layer that is enclosed by the inner layer and the outer layer, comprising a plurality of components configured to interlock and maintain the organ in an expanded state upon application of a vacuum. A method for retaining an organ in an expanded state may include applying at least one force to the organ to place the organ in the expanded state; applying a passive stent to an external surface of the organ; and applying a vacuum to the passive stent sufficient to cause a plurality of components of at least one layer of the passive stent to interlock, where the at least one layer is configured to maintain the organ in the expanded state after interlocking.
STIMULATION DEVICE
A stimulation device is described having a pressure field generating device which has a cavity and a medium influencing arrangement. The stimulation device uses a first check valve arrangement, arranged inside the cavity between the application opening and the medium-influencing arrangement, and is movable at least in sections in the direction of the application opening and away from it and has a first check valve which is designed to close in the direction of the application opening and to open in the direction of the medium influencing arrangement, wherein the cavity has a first section and a second section, and a second check valve arrangement, which connects the first section of the cavity to an outside of the stimulation device and has a second check valve.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO ENABLE COMMUNICATION DETECTION BETWEEN DEVICES AND PERFORMANCE OF A PREVENTATIVE ACTION
A computer-implemented method is disclosed. The method includes determining whether one or more messages have been received from at least one of an electromechanical machine, a sensor, and an interface. Then the one or more messages may pertain to at least one of a user and a usage of the electromechanical machine by the user. The electromechanical machine may be configured to be manipulated by the user while the user is performing a treatment plan. The method also includes, responsive to determining that the one or more messages have not been received, determining, using one or more machine learning models, one or more preventative actions to perform. The method also includes causing the one or more preventative actions to be performed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HEAD UP CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION
A method for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) includes elevating the heart of an individual to a first height relative to a lower body of the individual. The lower body may be in a substantially horizontal plane. The method may also include elevating the head of the individual to a second height relative to the lower body of the individual. The second height may be greater than the first height. The method may further include performing one or more of a type of CPR or a type of intrathoracic pressure regulation while elevating the heart and the head. The first height and the second height may be determined based on one or both of the type of CPR or the type of intrathoracic pressure regulation.
Flow Sensor for Ventilation
A flow sensor system for ventilation treatment comprises a flow conduit configured to allow gas flow between a first region and a second region, the flow conduit defining a lumen for the gas flow; a flow restrictor disposed within the lumen of the flow conduit between the first region and the second region; a first absolute pressure sensor disposed adjacent to the first region of the flow conduit and configured to measure a pressure of the gas flow at the first region of the flow conduit; and a second absolute pressure sensor disposed adjacent to the second region of the flow conduit and configured to measure pressure of the gas flow at the second region of the flow conduit.
MASSAGE DEVICE CONTROLLING THE OPERATION OF THE ARM MASSAGE UNIT THROUGH ELECTRODES
Provided herein is a massage apparatus including: an arm massage unit for massaging a user's arm; and a control unit for controlling the arm massage unit. The arm massage unit comprises a space and an electrode arranged in the space, and the control unit determines whether an electrical value of the electrode is changed, and controls the operation of the arm massage unit based on a determination result and an operation state of the arm massage unit.
WIRELESS POWER AND CHARGING OF PATIENT SUPPORT FROM BED
A power supply system for a facility includes a patient support apparatus with a controller and a patient support. A power source is operably coupled to the patient support apparatus. The controller is in communication with the power source. A transmitting assembly is coupled to the patient support apparatus and the power source. A receiving assembly is operably coupled to the patient support. The transmitting assembly wirelessly communicates with the receiving assembly to power the patient support. A locating feature is in communication with the controller of the patient support apparatus. The locating feature is configured to aid in aligning the power source on the patient support apparatus to indicate when the receiving assembly is in communication with the transmitting assembly.
Soft inflatable exosuit for knee rehabilitation
A soft-inflatable exosuit for knee rehabilitation is fabricated in two different beam-like structures (I and O cross-section actuators) and mechanically characterized for their torque performance in knee-extension assistance. The fabrication procedure of both types of actuators is presented as well as their integration into a light-weight, low-cost and body-conforming interface. To detect the activation duration of the device during the gait cycle, a soft-silicone insole with embedded force-sensitive resistors (FSRs) is used. In evaluation studies, the soft inflatable exosuit device is tested for its ability to reduce muscle activity during the swing phase of the knee. Using sEMG (surface electromyography) sensors, the rectus femoris muscle group of a healthy individual is recorded while walking on a treadmill at a constant speed, with and without the soft device.
