HFCC THERAPY SYSTEM PROVIDING PATIENT INTERVENTIONS FOR IMPROVED ADHERENCE
20170007494 · 2017-01-12 ·

The present disclosure relates to devices, systems and methods for improving patient adherence with respect to HFCC therapy. A therapy system of the present disclosure may include a percussive pulsing therapy device configured for delivering pulsating or intermittent airflow to a patient device, such as a patient vest worn by a patient. The airflow delivered to the patient vest may have an air pressure and a frequency, each of which may be adjustable in some embodiments. A therapy system of the present disclosure may additionally include a controller, a database, and one or more sensors. The controller and/or one or more sensors may record therapy data for a therapy session. Based on the recorded therapy data, the system may provide encouragement, advice, motivation, and/or options or information to a user by way of skills training, goal setting, feedback, reinforcement, environmental prompts, social support, and/or other patient interventions.

Vibratory Cough Suppression
20170007497 · 2017-01-12 ·

An apparatus comprises a vibrational transducer, a placement band, a driver module and a control module. The placement band is configured to hold the vibrational transducer adjacent to the skin surface overlying the cricoid cartilage and trachea region of a patient's neck. The driver module is configured to apply a drive signal to the vibrational transducer. The control module is configured to receive at least one input configured to provide vibrational operating information and control the driver module to cause the vibrational transducer to apply a vibratory stimulation in an amount determined, at least in part, by the vibrational operating information.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation device

A cardiopulmonary resuscitation device includes a case having an extension portion extending therefrom. In operation, the user places the case across the chest of a person being given CPR, and presses the case into the person's chest, applying uniform force in according to a rhythm guided by audible and/or visual feedback. The cardiopulmonary resuscitation device includes a control circuit having a display screen, and a distance sensor apparatus operatively coupled to the control circuit. In another embodiment, the cardiopulmonary resuscitation device is structured for use on an infant-sized human. In this embodiment, the device includes a pair of legs extending through the case, the support structure permitting the case to be positioned on the chest of an infant-sized human; wherein the case is useable to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the infant-sized human by repeated press-release movements using a finger pad disposed on the case.

Defibrillator charging

Systems and methods related to the field of cardiac resuscitation, and in particular to devices for assisting rescuers in performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT
20250325444 · 2025-10-23 ·

A method and apparatus for correctly identifying an acupuncture strategic point comprises a clinician using a probe connected to an electrical driver to apply a pulsed electric current to a patient's skin, establishing electrical continuity between the patient and the clinician so that both the patient and the clinician can sense the pulsed electric current, moving the probe over the patient's skin and monitoring changes in the sensed pulsed electric current, and determining the strategic point to be a point at which irritation from the pulsed electric current as sensed by the clinician is minimized.

Digitally adjustable phrenic nerve stimulator system

A system for electrical ventilation stimulation of a patient including an implantable nerve stimulator including a stimulation circuit and a pulse generator that produces biphasic charge-balanced pulses to stimulate a phrenic nerve, an external digital programming device having near field communication transmission and a digital interface, and wherein the external digital programming device is used to control settings of the implantable nerve stimulator.
