Biomaterial test apparatus and method of controlling the same
Disclosed herein are a biomaterial test apparatus and a method of controlling the same, capable of previously sensing an ambient air temperature where a biomaterial test is performed in order to determine whether to proceed with the biomaterial test. The biomaterial test apparatus includes a housing, a platform receiving chamber arranged inside the housing and capable of receiving a platform into which a biomaterial is injected, a display which is arranged outside the housing and displays a control screen to test the biomaterial, a temperature sensor which senses a temperature of the platform receiving chamber and an air temperature in the vicinity thereof, and a control unit which, when the air temperature is less than a predetermined first critical temperature, controls the display so as to display a screen indicating that the test is impracticable.
Gas chromatography using a thermal gradient that is substantially monotonically non-increasing and has a positive second derivative
A system and method for thermal gradient gas chromatography wherein a front or injection end of a column is heated to a higher temperature than a back or detector end to thereby create a thermal gradient having a profile that is substantially monotonically non-increasing and has a positive second derivative, and then providing a heat source to raise the thermal gradient and cause it to remain stationary or to travel through the column while maintaining a desired profile.
THERMAL GRADIENT CHROMATOGRAPHY DEVICES AND METHODS OF USING THEM
Certain configurations described herein are directed to gas chromatography devices. In some instances, the gas chromatography devices may comprise at least one heating device which can be moved along a chromatography column to provide a thermal gradient to the chromatography column. In other instances, the gas chromatography devices may comprise a heating device that can receive a moving chromatography column to provide a thermal gradient to the chromatography column. The gas chromatography devices may be configured as portable devices which can be used to perform remote analyses.
DEVICE FOR A GAS CHROMATOGRAPH, IN PARTICULAR A TEMPERATURE GRADIENT GAS CHROMATOGRAPH, AND GAS CHROMATOGRAPH HAVING SUCH A DEVICE
A device for a gas chromograph includes a module and a separating capillary, which is arranged in the module. The separating capillary may be heated and is arrangeable in a controllable fluid flow field of a fluid. A material or a material mixture to be analyzed by the gas chromatograph, in particular a temperature gradient gas chromatograph, can be applied to the separating capillary. Furthermore, the device includes a generating device that generates a fluid flow of the fluid. The generating device is used for influencing the temperature of the separating capillary, and an influencing device for influencing the fluid flow of the fluid. A receptacle device for accommodating the module is provided. The module is insertable into the receptacle device and is removable from the receptacle device.
