A stretching table that provides targeted stretching for lower extremity, lower back and/or lower abdominal muscle groups in a human patient and is capable of being manipulated in a number of different configurations. The stretching table is capable of providing targeted stretching so that certain muscle groups can be stretched, rehabilitated and/or worked on individually. According to one example, the stretching table includes a base member, an upright member connected to the base member, an upper body support member connected to the upright member, and first and second lower body support members connected to the upper body support member via a connection mechanism.

A compression device may include a compression plunger in operable communication with a fulcrum assembly and housing assembly in operable communication with a stepper assembly. The compression device may be constructed and arranged to allow a user to administer CPR to a patient by stepping on a portion of the stepper assembly to generate hydraulic power that may be utilized to move the compressor plunger to apply compressive force to the patient's chest. The compression device may include a housing assembly and fulcrum assembly constructed and arranged to provide for variable height and width such that patients of varying sizes can be accommodated and may receive CPR.

Examples of the disclosure are directed to a patient support apparatus including a frame having a deck structured to support a patient, a retention device structured to secure the patient on the deck, and a compression device attached to the frame at the deck, the compression device including a compression mechanism structured to extend toward the patient and retract at least partially below the deck. In some examples, the compression device includes an inflatable bladder or a rotating cam having a lobe to provide the compression.

A foot-based massage apparatus includes a base member having a first end portion and a second end portion opposite the first end portion. A top surface of the base member has a generally rectangular configuration. A first connector member is coupled to the first end portion, and a second connector member is coupled to the second end portion. A flexible member is coupled to the first connector member and the second connector member. When tension is applied to the flexible member, the flexible member supports a massage practitioner providing a foot-based massage. A first gripping member and a second gripping member are coupled to the base member. The top surface comprises a body portion and a plurality of receiving holes. At least a first receiving hole of the plurality of receiving holes is located on a first side of the body portion, and at least a second receiving hole of the plurality of receiving holes is located on a second side of the body portion opposite the first side of the body portion. The first receiving hole and the second receiving hole are at least approximately symmetrical across a center line of the body portion between the first side of the body portion and the second side of the body portion.

A user can lay in supine or prone position on the table top of the airbag type massage table of the present disclosure. A circuit board is instructed by means of buttons of a controller. The circuit board supplies power to an air pump Air pumps supply air to air valves. Meanwhile, the circuit board controls the opening, closing and air release of the air valves, thus controlling the airbags to be inflated, held and deflated.

A portable cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) system includes a first module hub housing, an inflation actuated soft gripper configured to receive an inflation gas, and in response, to change form to a deployed grip state that accommodates and grips a human torso. Features of the portable CPR system include modularity for in-the-field reconfigurability, in which a second module hub housing attaches to the first module hub housing, carrying a CPR pressure applicator configured to receive an actuator power and a CPR control signal causing, concurrent with the deployed grip state, cyclic extension and retraction of the CPR pressure applicator along an axis aligned with a sternum of the human torso.

An articulated patient support platform cyclically expands and contracts a patient's lung volume, to both support breathing and mobilize lung tissue. In the lung expansion phase, a change in angle between a leg and hip supporting portion and a chest and head supporting portion causes extension the patient's spine, which increases the distance between the patient's sternum and spine. In the lung contraction phase, the reverse change in this angle causes flexion the patient's spine, which decreases the distance between the sternum and spine. A cycle of increase and decrease in spine-sternum distance expands and contracts lung volume in the manor of a bellows. Motorized operation of the platform thereby provides non-invasive natural breathing support. A corollary benefit of this lung expansion/contraction cycle is mobilization of lung tissue, which is beneficial in reducing post-operative pneumonia risk.
