A pillow system includes a pillow assembly and a pillow and pillow cover assembly, the pillow assembly having a base attached to a pillow having an opening, the pillow formed of a first foam material, and the base formed of a second foam material, and wherein the first foam material is more rigid than the second foam material. The pillow and pillow cover assembly includes a pillow cover formed of a stretchy fabric material capable of stretching into the opening of the pillow during use.

A neck therapy device supports the head of a patient in a supine, side-lying or prone position to eliminate the effects of gravity on the cervical vertebrae and associated musculature. A sliding platform supporting the head permits frictionless turning throughout full cervical motion and a cervical support can target a particular cervical vertebra to isolate motion to superior vertebrae. The cervical support is also used to apply traction and pressure to cervical muscles and vertebrae to effect soft-tissue mobilization and activate and strengthen cervical muscles.

The prone support is fixedly installed on the middle of the base plate, and the abdomen massager covered with the medicated gauze is installed on the prone support. The sprocket bracket is fixedly installed on the base plate and is provided with the transmission shaft and the sprocket, the rotary plates are fixed on two ends of the transmission shaft, and the sprocket is configured to cooperate with the chain for transmission; the handwheel bracket is fixed on two sides of a front center of base plate, and is provided with the handwheels.

In one example, we describe a method and system for infant's development, which is a disc system, with various combinations and extensions. The brain is the only organ that constantly reorganizes itself based on experiences or lack thereof. Babies are born with millions of neurons. Through a process called pruning, certain circuits are fine-tuned through repeated practice and stimulation. This occurs from birth, throughout early childhood. The purpose of the SensiMo Disc is to provide an infant, e.g., typically, up to the 25 lbs. and/or 29 inches long, sensorimotor stimulation, while lying in a prone or supine position, with minimal active movement of the head or extremities. As the child lays supine or proneon, on the SensiMo disc, the child's tactile, vestibular, and proprioceptive systems are stimulated. This helps develop the child's sensorimotor system. Many other variations and combinations, plus advantages, are discussed.

The device and methods disclosed herein allow an individual to create and sustain a differential stretch to the anterior muscles and ligaments of the torso, hips and legs. The device includes a base frame, a vertical member secured to the base frame, a rotational lift lever secured to the vertical member at a pivot point, a lower extremity elevation member secured to the rotational lift lever, and at least one lower extremity attachment device secured to the lower extremity elevation member. In use, the device lifts an individual's legs above the ground, while the person is lying face down, so as to create a stretch in the anterior muscles, fascia, or ligaments. The device has various planes of rotation, allowing for differential stretching in various quadrants of the torso. The device is adjustable in height as well as displacement along a track within the base to accommodate different body types.

A method of treating a patient exhibiting abdominal or pelvic pain by applying shockwaves or acoustic pulses to the lower spine, lumbar and sacral spine, to modulate, reduce or relieve spinal stenosis, inflammation, injury or disease and has the steps of: activating an acoustic shock wave or acoustic wave generator or source to emit acoustic shock waves or pulses from a fixed acoustic wave source or a handheld shock wave head or from electrodes embedded within a catheter with or without a fluid filled balloon catheter; and administering a plurality of acoustic shock or acoustic waves in a pulse or wave pattern within the targeted tissue of less than 10.0 mJ/mm.sup.2 per shock wave, the plurality of acoustic shock or acoustic waves in a pulse or wave pattern should be directed to a portion of a lower spine exhibiting chronic pain and/or inflammation.

A laser device for use in spinal therapy. The laser device includes a laser manifold having a plurality of recessions therein. Multiple laser modules are disposed within the laser manifold, with each laser module being disposed within one of the plurality of recessions in the laser manifold. The laser device may be incorporated into a spinal therapy bed or other apparatus. In certain embodiments, the laser device may be attached to a motorized actuator.
