THERAPEUTIC VIBRATION DEVICE
A device is described for delivering a therapeutic vibration to a body. The device may include at least two motors in a housing with unbalanced masses coupled to their axles, such that vibration of the masses causes the two motors and housing to vibrate at a beat frequency. The motors and housing may be coupled to the body via a platform which places the motors and housings at or near a resonant structure in the body, creating a coupled oscillation between the platform and the body.
Compression Device
A compression device for applying controllable compression to a portion of the anatomy of a user, includes a body, at least one memory wire embedded in the body and configured to contract in length upon application of a current so as to reduce an effective length of the body and apply a compressive force to the portion of the anatomy of the user, and a controller configured to selectively apply current to the memory wires to contract the memory wires and reduce the effective length of the body. The controller includes a circuit board supported by the body and a microcontroller mounted to the circuit board, the microcontroller programmed to actuate the memory wires according to a compression protocol stored in a memory associated with the microcontroller. Each memory wire has a first end fixedly connected to the circuit board and a second end fixed relative to the body.
TREATMENTS FOR DIABETIC AND PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY
A method of treating a patient with diabetic and peripheral neuropathy symptoms has the steps of establishing the severity of neuropathy symptoms and treating the patient with a combination of acoustic shock waves and light therapy.
VARIABLE ARCHING SUPPORT FOR TORSO FLEXIBILITY
A stretching and exercising device is beneficial for torso flexibility, having a configurable structure in which the curvature of the platform is adjustable. The platform can be varied in curvature from a substantially flat configuration to a generally semi-circular configuration. The platform is supported by a gear train connected to the platform, wherein the platform has a plurality of discrete parts. An adjustment member having a manually adjustable variable length connects opposite ends of the gear train, so that the curvature of the platform is determined by the adjusted length of the adjustment member.
Compression device
A wearable massage and/or compression device for applying controllable scrolling or intermittent sequential forces, such as compression forces, to the body and limbs of a user comprises one or more shape-memory wires integrated into an article of clothing and configured to apply a compression pressure to the limb through the fabric body upon changing shape in response to a stimulus, a pre-tensioning apparatus in the form of a bungee cord associated with each shape memory wire, and a micro-processor based controller for selectively actuating the one or more shape memory wire to reduce the length of the shape memory wire to thereby apply pressure to the wearer's body.
Movable Barefoot Massage Grabbing Bar Rack
A moveable grabbing bar rack for use in barefoot massage treatments, the present invention provides a moveable grabbing bar rack for use in barefoot massage treatments utilizing foot pressure. The movable grabbing bar rack is height position adjustable and collapsible for ease to be packed in a portable bag. The grabbing bar rack includes five independent components: first and second substantial triangular shaped bases, a pair of independent upright beams, a substantial rectangular shaped grabbing bar assembly, which includes a pair of parallel round-shaped beams working as a pair of grabbing bars, users only manually engaging the grabbing bars for body balance, and sometimes prostrate upon the upper grabbing bar with their abdomen. This rack is able to be moving forward and backward freely when in the performance of massage, because it is light weighted.
Massage system
A massage system having a massage table, support members and a massage machine is disclosed. The massage table may securely attach to the massage machine by the support members. Attachment members that massage the user's body are preferably different roller type attachments of different sizes. Multiple rollers may be attached to the massage machine one at a time. A user may select from different massage treatment options by a control panel. The user may lie face down on the massage table and the massage machine will provide a soothing back massage corresponding to the option they chose.
PRONE PREGNANCY PILLOW AND METHODS THEREOF
A prone pillow assembly for elevating the pelvic region of a patient laying the prone position, particularly a pregnant woman laying on her abdomen while receiving a specific healthcare procedure, such as a chiropractic adjustment to reduce vertebral and or lumbopelvic/sacral subluxation. The prone pregnancy pillow comprising an early stage segment and a later stage segment that can be used separately or in conjunction with each other to slightly elevate the pelvis of the patient when lying in the prone position to relieve tension on the utero sacral ligamentous structures. The early stage segment and later stage segment each have abdominal holes through the center of each to operably receive the abdominal area of the patient.
MULTI-SURFACE INSTRUMENT FOR SOFT TISSUE MOBILIZATION
A multi-surface instrument for soft tissue mobilization is disclosed, the instrument includes a planar body having a periphery. In a first embodiment, the instrument further includes a hook element, a first round point having a first radius associated therewith, a second round point having a second radius associated therewith, wherein the second radius is larger than the first radius, and a rectangular surface. In a second embodiment, the instrument further includes a plurality of features, each of the plurality of features extends along the periphery of the planar body, wherein each of the features is independently one from the group consisting of: a convex surface, a concave surface, and a linear surface. Methods for using the instrument are also described.
PERSONAL PORTABLE THERAPY CHAMBER
A portable, personal therapy chamber for provision of infrared radiation therapy. The therapy chamber includes a pair of telescopically positionable cabins that are lightweight and easily portable by a single user. The therapy chamber is configured for use by a single person lying generally prone on a surface. The cabins are disposed to overlie the user and include a plurality of infrared radiation elements that direct infrared energy toward the user's body. When using the therapy chamber, the user's head extends from an open end of the cabin. A facial treatment fixture is integrated with the cabin to be extendable longitudinally from a terminal end thereof and to overlie the user's face/head. The therapy chamber can be configured to provide mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy in addition to infrared therapy.
