MASSAGE HEAD UNIT, VIBRATION ASSEMBLY AND SMART WEARABLE DEVICE
A massage head unit, a vibration assembly and a smart wearable device, including: a soft rubber base plate, a plurality of vibrating members, a plurality of soft rubber massage heads, and a plurality of soft rubber pleated bodies capable of stretching and deforming in a axial direction of each massage head; the base plate, the pleat bodies and the massage heads are integrally molded by injection molding, the base plate is provided with a plurality of through holes penetrating therethrough, and the through holes, the pleated bodies and the massage heads are in one-to-one correspondence, each massage head is provided with a mounting cavity mounted with at least one vibrating member, each pleated body is connected to a bottom of the massage head and an edge of the through hole, such that each of the massage heads is floating and supported on the edge of the through hole.
Eyelid cleaning tool
A hand-held device for home use is disclosed for cleaning eyelids, eye margins and eye lashes. The device includes a housing, which forms a handle, and a cleaning head, attached on one end. In accordance with an important aspect of the invention, a vibration generator is used to drive the cleaning head sonically. The sonically driven cleaning head is placed in contact with one or both eye lids for each eye and either held in a stationary position or moved from side to side or back and forth. The vibration of the cleaning head in contact with the soap and effectively scrubs the upper eyelid or lower eyelid without the need for vigorous scrubbing or significant agility. The vibrating cleaning head is a more effective daily home cleaning tool for eyelids and eyelashes than known devices with rotary swabs or sponges.
MICRO-OUTER STABILIZER CONFIGURATION FOR DERMA ROLLER APPARATUS
A derma roller apparatus has a handle, a first outer stabilizer, a second outer stabilizer, and a head connected to the handle via the first outer stabilizer and the second outer stabilizer. The head has an axial member positioned transverse to the handle. Furthermore, the head has a geometrically-shaped member positioned around the axial member in between the first outer stabilizer and the second outer stabilizer. The geometrically-shaped member has a diameter that progressively diminishes from a first end of the geometrically-shaped member to a second end of the geometrically-shaped member. Moreover, the first end of the geometrically-shaped member is proximal to the first outer stabilizer. The second end of the geometrically-shaped member is proximal to the second outer stabilizer. Finally, the derma roller apparatus has a plurality of needles situated around the geometrically-shaped member.
Method for facilitating pinhole effect and tool to manipulate eyelash spacing for pinhole effect
A method of compensating for a refractive error, including manipulating eyelashes to project into a line of sight of an eye at least when an eyelid from which the eyelashes extend is partially closed or when the eye is moved relative to the eyelid. The method may further include manipulating at least one of spacing, orientation, direction, contour or shape of the eyelashes to create an optical effect that improves visual acuity when the eyelashes project into the line of sight and training an individual whose eyelashes are manipulated to position the eyelid from which the eyelashes extend, the eye or both the eyelid and the eye from which the eyelashes extend to achieve relative positioning of the eye and the eyelid to obtain the optical effect that improves visual acuity when desired.
TREATMENT METHODS USING HANDHELD DEVICES FOR DISORDERS
A method to treat a dry eye condition of an individual, includes: receiving a switch signal generated based on a manipulation of a control switch at a handheld device; and activating a motor in response to the switch signal to oscillate a member at an oscillation frequency, the member having an elongated configuration, and having a portion for placement outside the individual; wherein the oscillation frequency is sufficient to induce tear production when the portion of the member is applied towards a surface of a body portion of the individual.
LIGHT CONTROL DEVICES AND METHODS FOR REGIONAL VARIATION OF VISUAL INFORMATION AND SAMPLING
Exemplary light control devices and methods provide a regional variation of visual information and sampling (“V-VIS”) of an ocular field of view that improves or stabilizes vision, ameliorates a visual symptom, reduces the rate of vision loss, or reduces the progression of an ophthalmic or neurologic condition, disease, injury or disorder. The V-VIS devices and methods generate a moving aperture effect anterior to a retina that samples and delivers to the retina environmental light from an ocular field of view at a sampling rate between 50 hertz and 50 kilohertz. Certain of these V-VIS devices and methods may be combined with augmented or virtual reality, vision measurement, vision monitoring, or other therapies including, but not limited to, pharmacological, gene, retinal replacement and stem cell therapies.
DOUBLE-BLINDED, RANDOMIZED TRIAL OF AUGMENTED REALITY LOW-VISION MOBILITY AND GRASP AID
An augmented reality system for providing depth perspective includes a sensor system that provides spatial data of objects in a surrounding environment of a user. A computer processor system calculates spatial information of the objects from the spatial data received the sensor system. The computer processor system determines a depth-to-color mapping in which distance of objects from the user is mapped to a predetermined viewable representation. The system also includes a head mountable display that displays the depth-to-color mapping to the user. Characteristically, distances of the objects from the user are rendered to allow at least partial viewability of the object by the user. A method utilizing the augmented reality system is also provided.
EYE WASH STATION INSPECTION GUARD
As a part of routine maintenance and testing, one must ensure that eye wash stations have access to clean water that flows appropriately and at the proper water pressure. Testing appropriate water flow and water pressure is messy. The inspection splash guards of the instant invention minimize water from splashing outside a wash basin area and are transparent to ensure proper visualization during eye wash station maintenance and testing.
Eyelid care appliance
Disclosed herein is an improved eyelid care appliance and method of using such appliance for preventing and treating blepharitis and mammalian meibomian gland dysfunction caused by gland obstruction. The method and apparatus of the invention enable restoration and maintenance of eyelid hygiene and the natural flow of secretions from the meibomian glands. A preferred embodiment of the apparatus has an oscillating brush head affixed to the distal end of the eyelid care appliance. The brush head can be impregnated with topical pharmacologic or cleansing agents to better facilitate cleaning and therapeutic efficacy.
