Treatment device for treating histological or cytological samples

A treatment device (1) for treating histological or cytological samples has a plurality of containers (6) for different treatment agents and a detection apparatus (2) for detecting a code which unequivocally identifies a type of a treatment agent or a type of a group of treatment agents from a package or replacement container of a treatment agent or group of treatment agents. The device furthermore has an evaluation apparatus (18) that, based on a detected code, ascertains which of the containers is or are to be replenished or replaced, and an indicating apparatus (4) which communicates to a user the ascertained container (6) or containers (6) that is or are to be replenished or replaced. The indicating apparatus may include a display (5) presenting a schematic image of the plurality of containers (6) with image(s) of each ascertained container being marked, and/or a light source (15) that illuminates each ascertained container.

SPECIMEN ANALYZER AND SPECIMEN ANALYSIS METHOD

This specimen analyzer includes: an analysis unit which analyzes a specimen collected from a subject; a manual input unit which receives an input of information by manual operation; an information read unit which receives an input of information by reading an information record section provided in a consumable; and a controller which does not permit an input of information on the consumable with the manual input unit, and permits an input of the information on the consumable with the information read unit.

REAGENT CALIBRATION SYSTEM AND METHOD

One aspect relates to a method of calibrating event data. The method includes obtaining, via an electronic device including a processor, event data for an assay including a reagent. The reagent is associated with one of a plurality of manufacturing lots of the reagent. The method includes receiving one or more calibration factors for the reagent based on an identifier associated with the one of the plurality of manufacturing lots. The method further includes generating calibrated event data based on an application of the one or more calibration factors to the event data.

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR LIQUID MIXING ASSESSMENT

Compositions include an aqueous solution of an organic dye of molecular weight in the range of about 300 to about 1,000 and a density-enhancing material. An amount of the density-enhancing material in the aqueous solution is sufficient to achieve a density of about 1.0 to about 1.3 g/mL. The composition has a viscosity of about 3.5 to about 5.0 centipoise. The compositions are useful in assessing the adequacy of a liquid handling mixing device to mix a reaction mixture.

Sample analyzer

The sample analyzer includes: a reagent arranging section for arranging a plurality of reagents; an analyzing section for analyzing a measurement sample prepared by mixing a sample and the reagent arranged on the reagent arranging section; a display device; an input device; and a display control section for displaying a reagent arrangement displaying region for displaying a plurality of reagent marks inscribed with a reagent name respectively on the display device, wherein the each reagent mark is displayed in a manner selectable by the input device, wherein arrangement of the each reagent mark on the reagent arrangement displaying region corresponds to arrangement of the each reagent on the reagent arranging section, wherein the display control section displays detailed information related to the reagent corresponding to the reagent mark selected by the input device on the display device.
