ANALYSIS SYSTEM FOR TESTING A SAMPLE

An analysis system and a method for testing a biological sample is proposed, wherein an operating instrument is provided which preferably can be separated from an analysis device with respect to a data connection and/or wirelessly connected to the analysis device.

METHOD SYSTEM FOR TESTING A SAMPLE

An analysis system and a method for testing a biological sample are proposed, wherein certain pieces of at least two different pieces of control information are selected and/or used to carry out the test using a cartridge and/or certain pieces of at least two different pieces of evaluation information are selected and/or used to evaluate the measurement results determined by the test.

INSTRUMENT FOR PROCESSING CARTRIDGE FOR PERFORMING ASSAYS IN A CLOSED SAMPLE PREPARATION AND REACTION SYSTEM

In one embodiment, a diagnostic system includes an instrument coupled to a client device and having at least one sample processing bay. The diagnostic system has a software architecture including instrument software (ISW) associated with the instrument. The ISW receives an assay definition file (ADF) that has a control file and an assay analysis module (AAM) file. The processing bay prepares and senses the sample according to parameters in the OPUS file and then generates sensor scan data. The diagnostic system then analyzes the sensor scan data and prepares a report according to the AAM file.

Processing of biological growth media based on measured manufacturing characteristics

This disclosure is directed to information management techniques that may be used during automated processing of biological growth media. In one embodiment, a method comprises reading an identification element associated with a biological growth medium, identifying manufacturing information associated with the biological growth medium based on the identification element, wherein the manufacturing information includes one or more manufacturing variables measured from the biological growth medium when the biological growth medium was manufactured, adjusting one or more processing parameters associated with processing of the biological growth medium based on the manufacturing variables measured from the biological growth medium when the biological growth medium was manufactured, and processing the biological growth medium in an automated system based on the processing parameters.

Slide transport system

A slide transport system for an automated slide treatment apparatus having slide treatment modules for receiving slides and a fluid dispensing robot configured by a controller to dispense reagents to the slides is disclosed. The slide transport system includes a slide transport robot configured by the controller to move the slides to and from the slide treatment modules and a slide transport device disposed on the slide transport robot and configured by the controller to releasably hold the slides. A slide handling head on the slide transport robot moves a closure body of a slide treatment module from a normally closed to an open position to move slides in the slide treatment module. The slide transport device is configured by the controller to release a slide when located in the slide treatment module, when the closure body is in the open position.

Embedded strip lot autocalibration

An auto-calibration system for diagnostic test strips is described for presenting data individually carried on each test strip readable by a diagnostic meter. The test strip meter may provide a predetermined varying resistance on one strip or a plurality of varying resistances from strip lot to strip lot.

DETECTION SENSOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Analyte detection systems and devices are provided. In one embodiment, a sensor initially reviews an assay, for instance a test strip, to designate a particular testing sequence. The sensor may calibrate the unit and then identify the particular testing sequence by identifying a color indicator on the test strip. The result is systems and methods to improve the detection of the presence and/or absence of at least one analyte in a sample.

IMAGE-BASED TRAY ALIGNMENT AND TUBE SLOT LOCALIZATION IN A VISION SYSTEM

A method of tube slot localization is provided using a tray coordinate system and a camera coordinate system. The method includes receiving, a series of images from at least one camera of a tray comprising tube slots arranged in a matrix of rows and columns. Each tube slot is configured to receive a sample tube. The method also includes automatically detecting fiducial markers disposed on cross sectional areas between the tube slots on the tray and receiving an encoder value indicating when each row of the tray is substantially at the center of the camera's field of view. The method further includes determining calibration information to provide mapping of locations from the tray coordinate system to locations from the camera coordinate system and automatically aligning the tray based on the encoder value and calibration information.

Reactor, test apparatus, and test method

Disclosed herein are a reactor, a test apparatus, and a test method, which measure, when a material included in a sample acts as an interfering material with respect to estimating a concentration of a target material, a concentration of the interfering material, and correct an estimated concentration of the target material based on the concentration of the interfering material, thereby improving the reliability and accuracy of the concentration of the target material. The reactor includes: a target material detecting chamber in which a first reagent that includes a first material that is activated by a target material is contained; a first material detecting chamber in which a second reagent that includes the target material is contained; an inlet hole into which a sample is injected; and a channel configured to connect the inlet hole, the target material detecting chamber, and the first material detecting chamber to each other.

Method for controlling a test apparatus in response to external room conditions and reaction device storage conditions

A test apparatus and a method for controlling the same are provided. The test apparatus may receive information about a reaction device, information about a storage environment, and external environment information from a storage storing a sample and a sensor sensing the external environment of the test apparatus. The test apparatus may perform a variety of control actions for testing the sample based on a temperature of and around the reaction device, resulting in increased reliability of the test result.
