Adaptation of a Processing of an in Particular Biological Sample Using a Processing Unit
A method for adapting a processing of an in particular biological sample using a processing unit includes identifying a cartridge in an identification region for a processing parameter, reading the processing parameter from the identified cartridge by the processing unit and adapting the processing depending on the processing parameter, and processing the sample in the cartridge with the processing unit.
APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR TISSUE SAMPLE PROCESSING
Apparatuses for processing tissue samples, including a matrix configured to receive and process multiple tissue samples. The matrix may include a plurality of carriers, each carrier configured to receive a respective tissue sample, the carriers formed of a tunable material including one or more proteins and one or more lipids. The matrix may also include a support member configured to hold the plurality of carriers, the support member formed of the tunable material and including a sectionable code configured to uniquely identify the matrix.
Instruments, devices and consumables for use in a workflow of a smart molecular analysis system
A system for performing a molecular analysis workflow includes a reaction holder or a reaction substrate, such as a multi-well reaction plate, with a reaction holder/substrate RFID tag, and/or a reagent container with a reagent container RFID tag, and an instrument and/or device that includes an RFID reader/writer operable to read and/or write information to and from the reaction holder/substrate RFID tag and/or the reagent container RFID tag. The reaction holder/substrate RFID tag and the reagent container RFID tag can be utilized separately or together to send and receive and store information, for example, for a workflow of a molecular analysis, such as a polymerase chain reaction (PCR).

In a cartridge device for analyzing a body liquid, a first member of the cartridge has two or more wells for performing assays, and a second member of the cartridge has a compartment for holding one or more disposable pipette tips.
Add-on and repetition aliquot testing with or without dilutions
A method of assigning an additional test to an existing aliquot sample tube or to a primary sample tube in a laboratory automation system is presented. The laboratory automation system comprises a workflow control unit and analytical laboratory devices in communication with the workflow control unit. The method comprises receiving an additional test request for the existing aliquot sample tube after processing of the existing aliquot sample tube has started, determining if the existing aliquot sample tube is at a retrievable target, waiting until the existing aliquot sample tube reaches a retrievable target if not at a retrievable target, determining if an aliquot timeout has occurred once the existing aliquot sample tube is at a retrievable target, reassigning the addition test to the primary sample tube if an aliquot timeout has occurred, and performing the additional test from the existing aliquot sample tube if no aliquot timeout has occurred.
SYNTHETIC ROCAGLATES WITH BROAD-SPECTRUM ANTIVIRAL ACTIVITIES AND USES THEREOF
Described herein are compositions, uses thereof, and methods for treating a viral infection in a host cell or organism infected by the virus, such as coronaviruses (e.g., severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus [SARS-CoV], severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 [SARS-CoV-2, the virus and its mutant forms that cause COVID-19], Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus [MERS-CoV]), Zika virus, Lassa virus, Crimean Congo hemorrhagic fever virus, hepatitis E virus, and other RNA viruses. Also described herein are synthetic rocaglate compositions, uses thereof, and methods for reducing or inhibiting translation initiation of a messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) of a virus in a host cell or organism infected by the virus.
Methods and systems for improved quality assurance for high-throughput analysis
Disclosed are methods and systems for confirming the identification of samples processed by a high-throughput analytical technique. The method may include distributing a plurality of individual samples to individual predetermined positions of a multi-sample test unit and distributing an identifier material to at least one predetermined position of the multi-sample test unit. The method may also include determining the absence or presence of an analyte in the plurality of individual samples, and determining the presence of the identifier material, wherein the presence of the identifier material at the predetermined position of the multi-sample test unit is used to confirm the identity of the plurality of individual samples positioned in the multi-sample test unit. Also disclosed are systems for performing the methods. The methods and systems may be applied to high-throughput LC-MS/MS or other analytical methods.
System for transporting and mixing samples
A sample transport system has a carrier configured to hold a sample tube for a sample to be transported and mixed, a transporter configured to support the carrier, a guide portion configured to impart motion to the carrier on the transporter and deliver the carrier to a destination location, and a controller. The controller is configured to identify instructions associated with the sample, the instructions including a movement profile configured to cause mixing of the sample, communicate with the guide portion to cause the carrier to follow the movement profile on the transporter to cause the mixing of the sample, and deliver the sample to the destination location.
Column device
A column device for an automatic analyser. The automatic analyzer comprises a high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) module. The HPLC module comprises a fixation device configured to automatically fix and release a chromatographic column. The column device comprises a column jacket and a capillary. The capillary comprises predetermined dimensions and is disposed within the column jacket. The column device is configured to be installed at the HPLC module using the fixation device. Further, an automatic analyzer is disclosed.
AUTOSAMPLER
An automatic fluid sampler includes a chassis having an interior compartment and an external lid, the chassis having a water inlet and a water outlet, an interior housing in the interior compartment having a compartment lid, an upper manifold in the interior compartment connected to the water inlet and having a water outlet, a lower manifold in the interior compartment connected to the water outlet, an array of slots in the interior housing, each slot having an inlet valve, each slot configured to accept a filter positioned between the inlet valve and the outlet valve, a pump to move the water from the water inlet to the water outlet, a controller configured to operate the pump, the water inlet, and the inlet valve of each slot to cause water from the water inlet to flow to the water outlet through the filter for that slot, a power source.
