A lacing system configured to selectively adjust the size of an opening on an object and allow for the incremental release of the lace within the lacing system. The lacing system can have a reel comprising a housing, a spool supported by the housing, and a knob supported by the housing. The reel can be configured so that cable is gathered in the channel formed in the spool when the spool is rotated in a first direction relative to the housing, and so that cable can be incrementally released from the spool when the spool is rotated in a second direction relative to the housing. In some embodiments, the reel can include a rotation limiter which can be configured to prevent over-tightening of the lacing system and/or to prevent rotation past the substantially fully loosened state.

According to the various features characteristics and embodiments of the present invention which will become apparent as the description thereof proceeds, the present invention provides partially fingered gloves intended to increase the overall performance in sports activities including but limited to football and golf. Primarily because of its unique finger configurations, and/or grip enhancers, and/or hand protective properties, the present invention makes a glove more operable in various sports activities.

Apparel, sporting equipment, and other items include magnetic securing systems (e.g., for holding a ball marker on a golf glove. Housings for such systems include a mount area defining a base surface that includes a magnet or is made from a magnetic material. At least two retaining walls extend from the mount area and together with the base surface define a receptacle for receiving another component (e.g., a golf ball marker) to be held by magnetic force. In such housings, a combined total perimeter length of interior surfaces of the retaining walls around the receptacle may be less than 50% of a total length around the perimeter of the component being held.

A glove that is less prone to slip on the hand, and/or that provides for better tactile sensation, and/or that provides a better outer grip. The glove has an outer surface, an inner surface, and one or more of: ridges, an inner grip material, and one or more sensory windows at places where greater tactile sensation is desired. The inner grip material friction with the skin and/or is tacky to help maintain the glove in position on the hand. The glove may also include an outer material and/or throwing grip material.

A glove that is less prone to slip on the hand, and/or that provides for better tactile sensation, and/or that provides a better outer grip. The hand apparatus can have a hand receiving portion, one or more finger portions, a thumb portion, and a body portion. The body portion comprises a dorsal side, a palm side, a first securing member, and a second securing member. The body portion can also comprise of a third securing member attached between the far side and near side of the body portion. The securing members can be attachable to the other securing members by fasteners.

In one embodiment, a hand apparatus, such as a glove or a mitten, with attachable securing members is disclosed. A finger restraint glove prevents restrained individuals from using their hands and fingers in undesired ways, with the gloves completely limiting the ability of restrained individuals to use their hands and fingers by encapsulating their hands. The gloves contain straps and fastening elements, and can be used in conjunction with handcuffs and other wrist restraint devices.
