Liquid transfer devices with an integral telescopic vial adapter for use with an infusion liquid container and an initially non-punctured intact discrete injection vial. The integral telescopic vial adapter is configured for initial telescopic snap mounting on a discrete injection vial leaving its injection vial stopper non-punctured until a subsequent compaction for puncturing the injection vial stopper. The integral telescopic vial adapter includes a safety catch mechanism for precluding advertent compaction from a pre-compacted state to a compacted state. The integral telescopic vial adapter includes a clamping arrangement for irreversibly clamping same in its final compacted state.

Provided is a method for improving a compliance with medication regimens with the aid of a portable dispenser system. The method consists of assembling a plurality of portable dispensers having reversible caps into a system by stacking them through their stackable interlocking reversible caps. The dispensers contain the same or different pills and are stacked in a sequence corresponding to the pill administration schedule. The method further consists of providing the system with an electronic device that has a monitoring, reminding, and/or alarming functionality and that can be attached to the reversible cap of any portable dispenser or arranged on a magnetic calendar. The device is set for fulfilling its monitoring, reminding, and/or alarming functionality in accordance with a pill administration schedule on an hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

A vented transfer lid includes an inner collar projecting from a top panel of the transfer lid and having an outer circumferential surface having a texturized electrical discharge machining (EDM) surface finish. In some example forms, an interior surface of the top panel includes a texturized EDM surface finish. In example forms, the transfer lid includes a transfer port wherein at least a portion of an interior surface of the transfer port includes a texturized EDM surface finish. In other embodiments, at least a portion of the vented transfer lid comprises a nonpolar boundary such that fluids exposed to the nonpolar boundary bead and form droplets having a dimension rendering them incapable of passing through one or more vent paths.

A closure assembly for a medical dispenser which may include a one-piece tip cap having a flow restrictor and a removably connected sleeve disposed in surrounding relation to the flow restrictor. The tip cap further includes an access opening and an oppositely disposed closed end, wherein the flow restrictor is structured for a fluid sealing engagement with a discharge port of the medical dispenser, passing through said access opening. The closed end includes removably attached inner and outer end segments respectively formed on the flow restrictor and the sleeve and are collectively structured to define a removable connection between the flow restrictor and sleeve. A cover may be fixedly attached to the sleeve in overlying, covering relation to exterior surfaces of the inner and outer end segments.

The present disclosure belongs to a sterile preparation, subpackage and output system for serum and a method therefor. The system includes a blood collection and separation unit configured to collect venous blood and capable of achieving centrifugal separation of blood; a serum collection unit cooperating with the blood collection and separation unit and configured to achieve sterile collection of serum; a liquid subpackage unit cooperating with the serum collection unit and configured to achieve precise sterile subpackage of the serum; and a liquid boosting pen configured to achieve precise quantitative output of the serum. The system has the characteristics that the structure is simple, the overall process is simple and controllable, the safe and long-term storage of the serum is guaranteed, the waste of the serum and the blood drawing capacity are reduced, and the burden and negative emotion of a patient are relieved.

Information such as medication type, concentration, and volume are associated with medication containers during preparation and this information can later be consumed/utilized when administering the medication from a container to a patient. A cap assembly including a self-sealing membrane that overlaps an opening to an interior of a container. The cap assembly further includes a cap having a cover portion that includes an annular wall that defines a central opening, and at least one evacuating opening located radially outward of the central opening. The cover portion defines a gap above the self-sealing membrane. The gap is configured to allow the self-sealing membrane to be at least partially displaced from the opening to allow fluid communication between the interior of the container and an outside atmosphere when a suction is applied to the cap.

An adjustable two piece insulated medicine bottle holder. A tubular shaped top section with an internal insulated sleeve that fits around a medicine bottle, that fits snugly within a tubular bottom section with a closed bottom. A disk of insulated material sits at the bottom of the bottom section, and the top section with the bottle and insulated material is slide down to the disk. The top section includes a threaded rim, and a cap with an center hole is screwed onto the threaded rim. The medicine vial is fully insulated, and the top of the vial is accessible through the central hole. The internal insulated sleeve varies in size to accommodate bottles of different diameters, and the top section can telescope in or out of the bottom section to accommodate bottles of different lengths.
