Dispenser for dispensing pharmaceutical liquids
Dispenser for dispensing pharmaceutical liquid having a housing, a liquid reservoir arranged within the housing, an exit opening through which liquid is discharged into a surrounding atmosphere, an outlet channel connecting the liquid reservoir to the exit opening and having an outlet valve, openable in a pressure-dependent manner or actuatable manually, arranged in the outlet channel. With the valve closed, the outlet channel is subdivided into a first portion upstream of the outlet valve and a second portion downstream of the outlet valve. The housing is of antibacterial design in the region of surfaces which are intended to come into contact with the liquid, wherein it is exclusively surfaces in the region of the second portion and/or of an outer surface of the housing which have this antibacterial design.
MEDICATION VIAL COVERS
Covers for vial containers are described. The cover can include at least one side and an end. The at least one side and the end can form a cavity configured to receive a portion of a vial. The cover further includes an identifier located on the end of the cover. The identifier can include a shape associated with a particular medication. Such arrangements can assist visually impaired users in quickly and easily identifying the types of medication in a particular vial.
A TRANSFERRING DEVICE FOR TRANSFERRING A TOXIC SUBSTANCE
A device for transferring a toxic substance from a dispensing vessel to at least one receiving vessel comprising: (i) a receiving portion arranged to receive a dispensing vessel containing a toxic substance; and (ii) a transfer apparatus having a first infusion line adapted for fluid communication with the dispensing vessel to transfer a carrier fluid into said vessel and a second infusion line having one end adapted for fluid communication to withdraw and transfer the carrier fluid and the toxic substance from the dispensing vessel and the other end of the second infusion line arranged to connect with the at least one receiving vessel.
VIAL CAP
There is provided a vial cap with which, when there is a possibility that a cover which covers a stopper for a vial has come off and the stopper for the vial has been contaminated at a stage prior to use, the fact can easily be recognized. The vial cap is a resin vial cap (1) to be attached to a mouth portion (72) of a vial (70) to fix a stopper (74) fitted into the mouth portion (72) so that the stopper may not come off the mouth portion (72). The vial cap (1) is provided with a cap main body (8) that has an upper opening (6) formed therein and a cover (40) that covers the upper opening (6) of the cap main body (8). The cap main body (8) has a plurality of pin-receiving holes (10) formed therein, and the cover (40) has a plurality of fixing pins (46). Each pin-receiving hole (10) and a fixing pin (46) that is paired with the pin-receiving hole (10) are formed in complementary shapes. The plurality of fixing pins (46) of the cover (40) are accommodated in the plurality of pin-receiving holes (10) of the cap main body (8), and the cap main body (8) and the cover (40) are joined with the pin-receiving holes (10) and the fixing pins (46) engaged.
Patient enteral hydration with cooled fluids
A device and method for enterally hydrating a patient with cooled fluids. The patient may be a paralyzed or limited upper body mobility patient with a functional gastrointestinal system who is nonetheless incapable or not fully capable of drinking unassisted. Here fluids are provided by a suspended container which also has a pouch to admit cooling material such as ice, but to keep the cooling material separate from the fluid. The container may also have optional graduation markings to allow for convenient estimation of fluid use, and an upper open and closeable cap to allow the container to be refilled. The container has a lower fluid conducting tube that terminates in a mouthpiece. The mouthpiece contains a fluid valve formed from at least one slit in an elastic material. Patient mouth force on the valve causes the slit to enlarge, thus enabling cooled fluid to flow into the patient.
Collapsible Container with Cover
A collapsible container includes: a container bottom; a container cap; a tubular member having a longitudinal axis and a cylindrical wall, the tubular member having an outer surface and an inner surface, the cylindrical wall having a wall thickness defined by the distance between the inner and outer surfaces, the cylindrical wall having first and second longitudinal zones of reduced thickness. The first and second longitudinal zones are substantially 180° apart such that the tubular member is collapsible along the first and second longitudinal zones to reduce the tubular member to a flattened state. The tubular member has a first end adapted to mate with the container bottom, and a second end adapted to selectably mate with the container cap. The container cap and container bottom are integrally formed with the tubular member and the container cap is configured to mate with the second end in a child-resistant manner.
Transferring device for transferring a toxic substance
FLUID TRANSFER CONNECTOR
A fluid transfer connector or adapter for coupling to a container or pharmacy bottle for facilitating the transfer of fluid or medicine from the bottle to a syringe, or from the syringe to the bottle. Optionally, an additional connector can be provided for coupling the fluid transfer connector to the syringe.
Components packaging structure for pharmaceutical containers
A components (17) packaging structure for pharmaceutical containers, comprising at least one tray (10), which has at least one open side for introducing and extracting at least one supporting shelf (11) which is parallel to a bottom plane (14) of the tray (10) and which rests in correspondence of the inner walls (15) of the tray (10); said supporting shelf (11) has a spatially predetermined distribution of first seats or cavities (13) within which closing components and/or generic accessories of said containers, such as rubber caps (17), nuts (20) with crimping snap or other types of sealing nuts and/or caps, are placed, so that the vertical axis of each closure component is perpendicular to said bottom plane (14) of the tray (10), said structure thus constituting a guarantee of sterility and cleanliness of said closing components and/or generic accessories which are inserted in said seats or cavities (13).
Container and closure
A closure for dispensing one or more active agents into a container comprises a sealed or sealable chamber having a breakable wall and a hollow piston slidably mounted in a piston guide. Said hollow piston comprises an outer wall having an end in the chamber and at least one ventilation aperture. Said end has a cutting formation. Said hollow piston is slidable in the piston guide between a ventilation position in which the at least one ventilation aperture allows ventilation of the chamber and a sealed position in which the at least one ventilation aperture is sealed to prevent ventilation of the chamber and a deployed position in which the cutting formation has broken through at least a portion of the breakable wall. The outer wall has a retaining formation which engages with the piston guide to releasably resist sliding of the hollow piston between the ventilation position and the sealed position and the deployed position. The hollow piston may have an outer wall, and said outer wall has an end within the chamber, facing the breakable wall, wherein the cutting end has a first edge having a cutting formation and a gap in said cutting formation.
