DUAL CAP SYSTEM FOR CONTAINER-CLOSURES TO MAINTAIN TIP STERILITY DURING SHELF STORAGE
A container-closure system includes a container configured to hold a therapeutic liquid and having a dispensing tip configured to dispense a dose of the therapeutic liquid. A vented cap is configured to fit over at least a portion of the container including the dispensing tip and having one or more vents that allow air to pass into and out of a cavity defined between the vented cap and the dispensing tip. A second cap is configured to fit over at least a portion of the vented cap. A tamper evident seal is coupled to the second cap and one or both of the container and the vented cap.
CAP AND CONTAINER ASSEMBLIES
A cap and container assembly includes a container having a base and a side wall extending upward from the base. The base and the side wall define an interior, and the side wall defines an opening leading to the interior. A cap moves with respect to the container between an opened position in which the opening is exposed, and a closed position in which the cap covers the opening. A tab projects outward from the cap and has a bottom surface. A spacer projects from the container side wall at a location beneath the tab when the assembly is in the closed position. The spacer bends inward towards the container in response to application of a sufficient force, to move from a locked position that blocks the bottom surface of the tab, to an unlocked position to expose at least a portion of the bottom surface of the tab.
LOCKING TOP FOR VESSEL HAVING A NECK
A locking top for blocking a stopper in the neck of a vessel comprises an outer body and a cage that is configured to fit into and lock axially in the outer body. The cage comprises an upper ring, a plurality n of branches connected to the upper ring, n/2 median bridges and n/2 lower bridges arranged in alternation on the periphery of the cage, each connecting together two adjacent branches. When the top is in an intermediate holding position in which the stopper is partially pushed into the neck, the lower bridges surround, at least in part, a collar of the neck; the median bridges located, in an axial direction, between the upper ring and the lower bridges are designed to form an open space between them and the collar.
PORT-EQUIPPED BAG AND CAP-EQUIPPED BAG
A port-equipped bag includes a bag body formed in a bag shape with a sheet, and a cylindrical port member attached to the bag body, and an inner plug and a cap can be attached to the port member. The port member includes an attaching target portion that is covered by the cap in a case in which the cap is attached thereto and an annular lip protruding outward from the port member. The lip has an annular engagement surface facing the bag body, and the engagement surface has an angle of 45 to 135 with respect to an outer peripheral surface of the attaching target portion in a cross section in an axial direction of the attaching target portion.
SECURE MEDICAMENT CONTAINERS
In one or more particular implementations, a medicament case carrier is provided. Here, the medicament case carrier is provided in two parts. To secure the medicaments, a generally tubular body elongated along a longitudinal axis tubular body having an interior cavity and an open end is provided. The tubular body also includes an impact cushion is disposed within the interior cavity and configured to cushion the impact of a medicament case placed within the tubular body. The medicament case carrier also includes a cap suitable for selectively engaging the open end of the tubular body and designed to allow for selectively insertion or removal of a medicament case into or from said interior cavity; wherein the cap includes one or more input devices, a power supply and an output device.
Fluid transfer connector
A fluid transfer connector or adapter for coupling to a container or pharmacy bottle for facilitating the transfer of fluid or medicine from the bottle to a syringe, or from the syringe to the bottle. Optionally, an additional connector can be provided for coupling the fluid transfer connector to the syringe.
MEDICATION DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The present disclosure relates to a medication delivery system including a medication administration device, a medication within the medication administration device, a container defining a cavity receiving the medication administration device, and a cap attached to the container and sealing the medication administration device within the cavity. The medication administration device includes an actuator extending from a body and operable to expel the medication by depressing the actuator into the body. The cap includes hold down members positioned to bear against the body of the medication administration device to prevent movement of the medication administration device toward the cap beyond a predetermined distance. The medication administration device is thereby prevented, inter alia, from prematurely discharging the medication during storage and transport.
CAPPING SYSTEM FOR LIQUID MEDICINE BOTTLES
A save-and-draw capping system may be snapped or otherwise attached/connected to the top of a liquid medicine bottle having a rubber surface that may be punctured using a syringe to draw medicine. Using the save-and-draw capping system, the rubber surface may be sealed after it has been punctured. A secondary seal may be used to apply pressure to the cap of the liquid medicine bottle. A draw attachment, such as a draw needle, may be attached to the save-and-draw cap so that a hose may be connected to the liquid medicine bottle when multiple injections are needed. The save-and-draw capping system may be removed from one liquid medicine bottle to be used on another liquid medicine bottle.
Medication and Identification Information Transfer Apparatus
A medication and identification information transfer system is provided that includes a primary medication container, a secondary medication container, a secondary container label and a medication information transfer apparatus. The medication information transfer apparatus, when coupled to the primary medication container, can transfer information indicative of the contents of the primary medication container to a medication delivery device such as an intelligent injection site. The medication information transfer apparatus has a shape and size enabling it to be connected to an adapter for removal of medication from the primary medication container which enables transfer of the medication to a secondary container while simultaneously transferring information about the medication in the primary medication container to the injection site. In some implementations, the medication injection site can be placed on a fluid delivery line for infusion into a patient. Related apparatus, systems, methods and kits are also disclosed.
Single use delivery device having a primer element
A single use delivery device is disclosed having a manually deformable liquid container defining an inner chamber, the container having a distal end, a body, a proximal end, and an outlet on the distal end; a tip projecting from the outlet on the distal end of the container, the tip in fluid communication with the inner chamber of the container; a primer element for removing one or more air bubbles from the chamber, said primer element being attached to and in fluid communication with the deformable container, the container, the tip and the primer element being collapsible to minimize dead space in the delivery device; and two or more one-way valves. A method of administering a fluid to or flushing a vascular access device using a single use pre-filled delivery device as described herein is also disclosed.
