FLUID CONTAINER ADAPTERS
Various embodiments are generally directed to fluid container adapters that couple with a fluid container, so to enable access to the contents of the fluid container, such as from an endoscopic system via a tubing set. Several embodiments are particularly directed to a fluid container adapter that can couple with an opening in a variety of fluid containers to place one or more tubes in fluid communication with an interior of any particular one of the variety of fluid containers.
Primary packaging for storage and administration of medical and pharmaceutical compounds
A primary packaging for storage and/or administration of medical or pharmaceutical compounds includes a container that has a predetermined filling volume for receiving a medical or pharmaceutical compound. The container is permanently closed at a first end and has an integrally formed, circumferential flange portion at an open second end. The container has a cylindrical barrel that extends between the first end and the flange portion such that the barrel has an inner diameter and outer diameter corresponding to that of a standardized syringe for a nominal volume of the standardized syringe corresponding to the predetermined filling volume. Furthermore, a cross-sectional shape of the flange portion corresponds to the cross-sectional shape of a flange of a standardized vial. The primary packaging also includes a closure element that is adapted to fit tightly on the flange portion and into the barrel for sealing the open second end of the container.
CONTAINER FOR THE EX-VIVO TREATMENT OF BIOLOGICAL FLUIDS
The invention relates to a recipient (1) for ex-vivo treatment of biological liquids, which includes: a rigid body (2); a reservoir (3) provided inside the body (2), which is formed by a side wall (4), a rigid upper wall (5) and a rigid lower wall (6) and has an internal thickness defined by the separation between the upper wall (5) and the lower wall (6), at least one of the upper wall (5) or the lower wall (6) having a window area (7) configured to allow the passage of electromagnetic radiation from outside of the body (2) to the reservoir (3); two ports (8, 9) for liquids to gain access to the reservoir (3) from outside of the body (2); and closure means (10, 11) for the ports (8, 9), the closure means (10, 11) being configured to provide, jointly, the reservoir (3) with hermetic sealing against gases and liquids.
ENTERAL NUTRITION CONTAINER CAP AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE CAP
A package closure system may include a package outlet including a first connection element and a cap configured to removably connect to the package outlet using the first connection element and comprising a second connection element. An overcap can be configured to removably connect to the cap using the second connection element. A method for providing a nutritional composition from a container to an enteral line may include: removing an overcap from a cap, the cap is configured to direct a nutritional composition through a channel within the cap, the cap removably connected to the container; connecting the cap sealingly to the enteral line; and applying a pressure to the container to direct the nutritional composition from the container through the channel and into the enteral line.
CAP FOR SPOUT AND MODIFIED SPOUT
An improvement to a standardized design of a body for small-bore connectors for liquids and/or gases in a healthcare application, wherein the body has a spout with a standardized upper portion. The upper portion can have a standardized external thread or can have a different size and shape for the external thread. The body can have a standardized internal flange or another differently sized and shaped internal flange. The body can have an internal void though which the liquids and/or gases flow. At least a portion of the standardized internal flange or another internal flange can be eliminated or removed to reduce a flow restriction caused by the standardized internal flange and thus increase a flow area of the internal void.
CONTAINER AND DIALYSIS MACHINE COMPRISING A CONTAINER
The present invention relates to a container for receiving a dry concentrate for producing a dialysis solution, comprising a container opening and a connector arranged on the container opening, the container comprising a side wall and the container opening being arranged in this side wall, and the connector comprising fixing means for fixing the container to a dialysis machine, which comprises a first retaining element having a container inlet and a second retaining element having a container outlet, a connection element being provided on which the first and the second retaining element are arranged and which is provided with lines that are fluidically connected to the container inlet and outlet, and a housing element of the connector being provided which is fluidically connected both to said lines and to the container opening and extends from the connection element to the container opening, the housing element comprising a curved or angled portion, wherein the connection element does not comprise a widened central portion in a plan view of the container.
FLEXIBLE CONTAINER ASSEMBLY AND FITMENT ASSEMBLY FOR A FLEXIBLE CONTAINER ASSEMBLY
A flexible container assembly including a bag assembly and a fitment assembly. The bag assembly includes a bag and a spout. The spout includes a base flange and a cylindrical upstand that is in fluid communication with the cavity of the bag. The fitment assembly includes a body and a cap. The body includes a base, having an opening, a depending skirt depending from a lower surface of the base and a upstanding spout extending from the upper surface of the base. Methods of making, filling and using of the flexible container assembly, and the fitment assembly and components thereof are likewise disclosed.
STAND ALONE DISPENSING POUCH
The present invention relates to a stand-up pouch, for holding and dispensing fluid veterinary formulations, made of a flexible film material.
Intravenous fluid bag with an integrated valve having a seal with a compressed state that permits fluid flow into the bag and a relaxed state preventing fluid flow
An intravenous fluid bag comprising: a primary chamber configured to retain a liquid; a valve in fluid communication with the primary chamber, the valve including a housing, a spike element, and a seal, with the housing surrounding the seal, which surrounds the spike element; the spike element having a first end culminating in a tip, a second end having an inner conduit, and one or more through holes between the tip and the second end in fluid communication with the inner conduit forming part of a continuous liquid passageway in fluid communication with the primary chamber; the seal having a relaxed state preventing fluid flow through the valve, and the seal having a compressed state through which the through holes of the spike element extend allowing fluid flow from a source external the intravenous fluid bag, through the through holes, through the inner conduit, and into the primary chamber.
Sealing device for making it possible to collect a composition, packaging assembly comprising such a sealing device, collection and packaging methods
