Acute care eco system integrating customized devices of personalized care with networked population based management
A personalized acute care treatment kit is provided that includes components necessary for a lay caregiver to treat an acute cardiac event. The kit includes a medication box provided with medications selected according to the needs of the owner, a CPR device, a pacemaker, a defibrillator, monitoring and diagnostic devices and a computing device. The computing device is provided with a mobile application that captures patient data from the devices in the kit and automatically sends an alarm to a treatment professional when the patient data exceeds a predetermined threshold and establishes a communication link to with the treatment professional to allow the treatment professional to instruct the lay caregiver in using the contents of the kit to provide acute care.
Method for preparing medical/chemical solution and medical/chemical solution preparation system
A method is for preparing a medical/chemical solution by mixing a medical/chemical substance housed in a sealed container with a solution housed in a bag. The method includes transferring, from the bag into a syringe, an amount of the solution that is to be injected into a plurality of the containers. With the container and the syringe being held, at least one of a robot and a syringe driver configured to drive a plunger of the syringe is controlled so as to inject the amount of the solution into the plurality of the containers from the syringe.
Product transport containers
Product transport containers are disclosed. Such containers can provide one or more advantages compared to existing containers. For example, product transport containers described herein can maintain a product at a desired temperature for an extended period of time, including without the use of an active heating or cooling component. Such product transport containers described herein may also provide improved breathability, thermal insulation, and/or mechanical strength or dimensional stability. Such containers can include a plurality of walls defining an interior volume and a selectively openable side permitting movement of the product into and out of the interior volume of the container. The walls can be formed from a thermoformed non-woven fabric.
Systems and Methods for Cryostorage Bag Protection
Systems, devices and methods for protective encasement of cryostorage bags and for enhancing thermal and mechanical interfacing with freezing, storage, and thawing instrumentation. Systems, devices and methods for interacting with cryostorage bags and liquid contents of cryostorage bag to control the shape and surface geometry of the cryostorage bag and contents as part of a freezing process.
Plastic Jacket for Vial Labeling Systems
A vial jacket configured to receive a label. The vial jacket includes a plastic material having a cryogenic operating temperature range, a hinge formed in the plastic material, a locking mechanism, and an opening formed in the plastic material. The plastic material is dimensioned to surround at least a portion of a vial. The hinge defines a first half shell having a first edge and a second half shell having a second edge. The locking mechanism is configured to secure the first edge of the first half shell to the second edge of the second half shell. The opening has an axial length and a transverse length.
Adjustable Insulated Medicine Holder
An adjustable two piece insulated medicine bottle holder. A tubular shaped top section with an internal insulated sleeve that fits around a medicine bottle, that fits snugly within a tubular bottom section with a closed bottom. A disk of insulated material sits at the bottom of the bottom section, and the top section with the bottle and insulated material is slide down to the disk. The top section includes a threaded rim, and a cap with an center hole is screwed onto the threaded rim. The medicine vial is fully insulated, and the top of the vial is accessible through the central hole. The internal insulated sleeve varies in size to accommodate bottles of different diameters, and the top section can telescope in or out of the bottom section to accommodate bottles of different lengths.
CRYOGENIC STORAGE TRANSPORTATION TRACKING SYSTEM
A system for wireless identification of pharmaceutical products stored in a storage device is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of racks adapted to hold a plurality of pharmaceutical products, wherein each rack comprises one or more apertures; a plurality of remotely readable tags each adapted to be affixed to one or more of the pharmaceutical products, and at least one antenna operatively connected to a reader configured to interrogate the remotely readable tags. The reader is operatively connected to a computerized inventory system that is configured to receive information about each remotely readable tag, and the reader detects a position of each remotely readable tag and associated pharmaceutical product on the plurality of racks.
Cryocassette
Methods, apparatus, and device, such as a blood bag envelope, that protects a blood bag during storage and/or transport. The blood bag envelope holds a blood bag or a metal cassette that contains the blood bag. The envelope includes multiple panels. The multiple panels include a top panel, a first edge panel, a second edge panel, a front panel and a bottom panel. The multiple panels are configured to fold to form the enclosure to hold the blood bag. The envelope includes a first fastening device connected to an inner surface of the top panel. The envelope includes a suspension device that is suspended from the first fastening device. The suspension device is configured to suspend the blood bag within the enclosure when the multiple panels are folded to form the enclosure.
Medical transport container for pharmaceuticals
The present invention is directed to a medical device, specifically, a medical transport container for transporting blood and/or pharmaceuticals, e.g. human or animal medication, which are temperature sensitive, and comprises a forming gel encapsulated within the main storage compartment, which may comprise of one or more removable dividers to accommodate a plurality of blood vials or pharmaceuticals being cooled by a refrigerating element and/or the forming gel, which morphs and conforms to hold the container's inner contents (i.e. pharmaceutical(s), blood, test tube and/or vial(s) and the like) firmly in place. Accordingly, the content(s) may be transported over long distances in a sterile climate-controlled environment, where the temperature can be preset and consistently maintained for much longer duration using a plurality of power sources, e.g. battery pack with one or more rechargeable batteries supplying power for the trip's duration, in essence preserving the transported content's lifespan and viability.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR STORAGE STABLE OPHTHALMIC DRUGS
The present invention is related to methods of stabilizing an ophthalmic drug by adding a surfactant and a viscosity enhancer to the ophthalmic drug to create a composition wherein the composition has a viscosity of about 25 centipoise or less at a shear rate of 1/1000 per second at 25 degrees Celsius and a viscosity of about 70 centipoise or more at shear rate of 1 per second at 25 degrees Celsius, filling the composition into a container; and storing the container at a temperature from about 2 degrees Celsius to about 25 degrees Celsius. The present invention is further directed to a container prepared by the methods of the present invention.
