Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for coaxial nozzles, capsule fabrication systems comprising coaxial nozzles, and methods of capsule fabrication using capsule fabrication systems. In certain embodiments, coaxial nozzle configurations, capsule fabrication systems, and methods as described herein can be used for multi-layered capsule fabrication.
CAPSULE CLOSURE DEVICE FOR CLOSING TWO-PIECE CAPSULES
The disclosure relates to a capsule closure device for closing two-piece capsules each having a capsule upper portion and a capsule lower portion. The capsule closure device includes a capsule upper portion receiving member and a capsule lower portion receiving member. The capsule upper portion receiving member has a receiving hole and an introduction hole which is arranged coaxially relative to the receiving hole. The capsule upper portion receiving member has at the inner side thereof between the receiving hole and the introduction hole a support shoulder for supporting the capsule upper portion. The capsule upper portion receiving member has at the inner side thereof a ventilation groove, wherein the ventilation groove extends from the receiving hole to the introduction hole.
A TAMPING ASSEMBLY
A tamping assembly for capsule filling machine is provided. The tamping assembly comprises a fixed base/platform for accommodating a dosing disc assembly; a movable platform disposed above the fixed platform, the movable platform having plurality of sets of top tamping plungers; a pair of movable rods extending from the movable platform; and a lifting assembly mounted below the fixed base, and operably connected with the pair of movable rods for lifting/lowering the movable rods and/or the movable platform, the lifting assembly comprising a pair of first link members, each first link member extends along an incline from a first end to a second end, at the first end each first link members is pivotally mounted below the fixed base; a pair of second link members, each second link member extends from a proximal to a distal end, the proximal end of each second link member pivotally coupled with the second end of the each link member via a first pivot rod, and the distal end of each second link member pivotally coupled with each movable rod via a second pivot rod; and a drive mechanism connected with the second end of each first link member for moving the first link members, movement of the first link member causes the second member to lift or lower the movable platform, and thereby the tamping assembly.
FILLING MACHINE
A filling machine for filling capsules a product comprises a plurality of operative stations for carrying out operations on the capsules, a movement device provided with seats for housing and moving the capsules through the operative stations; and a weighing station to weigh of the capsules and comprising a weighing unit and a transfer system to transfer the capsules from the movement device to the weighing unit and vice versa. The weighing unit comprises a gripping element coupled with a weighing cell and provided with a housing for receiving and holding the capsule to be weighed. The transfer system include a first transfer element to remove the capsule from the seat of the movement device and insert it in the housing to measure its weight, and a second transfer element to remove the body from the housing and insert it in the seat of the movement device, after the measurement.
TOP LIQUID FILL METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HARD CAPSULES
A method of filling two piece hard shell capsules from top through opening on the center of domes of fused hard shell—FETH capsules, rather than open the “prelock” capsules and filling liquid into the body part of the hard shell capsules. The novel method will (i) significantly reduce the size of air bubbles, (ii) eliminate need for post filling banding or sealing, (iii) able to use any type of two piece hard shell capsules, eliminate the need for specially designed liquid fill friendly capsule and (iv) streamlined the traditional liquid filling process and make it into one continuous process. The capsules filled by the new methods hold 10-15% more liquid and become more competitive to soft gel capsules in terms of costs and efficiency.
DEVICE FOR DOSING A PRODUCT
A device for dosing a product in capsules (12) or similar, comprising at least one dosing disc (36) which has dosing openings (38), and at least two filling stations (41-45) with which groups of dosing opening (38) are associated, wherein each filling station (41-45) comprises at least one tamping pin (51-55); the tamping pin (51-55) can plunge to a specified depth (h1-h5) into the dosing opening (38) to compress the product (17), and said tamping pin has at least one pressing means (71) for producing a variable pressure (p1-p5) with which each tamping pin (51-55) elastically deflects into the dosing opening (38); and at least one adjusting means, in particular an adjusting drive (61-65), is provided in order to adjust the depth (h1 to h5) for each of the two tamping pins (51-55) independently of one another.
METHOD FOR THE FORMULATION OF OIL-SOLUBLE SUBSTANCES, AND POWDERS OBTAINABLE THEREOF
The invention relates to a new method for the formulation of oily substances, and to powders and solid dosage forms obtainable thereof. The process comprises a step of spray-drying of an oil-in-water emulsion comprising an octenyl succinate starch and a maltodextrin.
CAPSULE FILLING COMPOSITION, METHOD OF PRODUCING CAPSULE FORMULATION WITH THE USE OF CAPSULE FILLING COMPOSITION, AND CAPSULE FORMULATION
The objective of the present invention is to provide a capsule filling composition which can stably produce a capsule formulation by suppressing the flow of components out of the capsule body during capsule filling, regardless of the compressibility of an active ingredient such as drugs and health foods, so that a favorable capsule filling can be achieved; and a method of producing a capsule formulation with the use of such a capsule filling composition, as well as a capsule formulation. The objective is achieved by a method of producing a capsule formulation, comprising subjecting a capsule filling composition containing an active ingredient and a cellulose ether powder to a funnel system powder filling or a die-compression system powder filling to obtain the capsule formulation, and the like.
CAPSULE FILLER
A capsule filler includes one or more controllers that are operable to control one or more movement mechanisms and one or more dispensers in order to fill one or more capsules with one or more substances, such as one or more supplements. The movement mechanism may be operable to move the dispenser in one or more directions to control the position of the dispenser with respect to one or more capsules. The dispenser may be operable to dispense one or more substances into the one or more capsules. In this way, the capsule filler may be operable to measure substances and/or otherwise package and/or otherwise prepare the substances for use.

The invention relates to a device for filling containers with filling material in powder form, comprising: at least one metering wheel (29); a metering chamber (28a, 28b); at least one container (27) for discharging into the metering chamber (28a, 28b) a filling material (21) to be metered; at least one filter (36) which is mounted on the metering chamber (28a, 28b), the filter (36) being non-permeable to the filling material (21) and permeable to a gaseous medium; at least one feed (46) for the gaseous medium, to influence the filling material (21) to be metered in the metering chamber (28a, 28b) by means of the gaseous medium via the filter (36), at least one transport means (43) being provided to displace the filter (36) such that a new region of the filter (36) reaches the underside of the metering chamber (28a, 28b).
