Ultrasound diagnosis apparatus and method of operating the same
An ultrasound diagnosis apparatus includes: a two-dimensional (2D) transducer array in which a plurality of transducers that transmit/receive an ultrasound signal to/from an object are arranged in two dimensions; an analog beamformer configured to perform analog beamforming in a first direction, and perform analog beamforming in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction on signals respectively received by the plurality of transducers; and a digital beamformer configured to perform digital beamforming on the signals that are analog-beamformed in the first direction, and perform digital beamforming on the signals that are analog-beamformed in the second direction.
Triple mode ultrasound imaging for anatomical, functional, and hemodynamical imaging
An ultrasonic imaging system acquires frames of echo data at a high acquisition frame rate using a single mode of acquisition. The echo data is used by three image processors to produce an anatomical image, a mechanical function image, and a hemodynamic image from the same echo data. A display displays an anatomical image, a mechanical function image, and a hemodynamic image simultaneously.
Image processing apparatus, ultrasound diagnosis system, operation method of image processing apparatus, and computer-readable recording medium
An image processing apparatus includes: a display controller configured to cause a display to display an image including a first pointer having a predetermined shape superimposed thereon and move a position of the first pointer within the image in accordance with an input position that is input from an input device; a region-of-interest setting circuit configured to set a region corresponding to the position of the first pointer within the image as a region of interest when a confirmation operation for confirming the input position is input to the input device; and a distance determining circuit configured to determine a distance between a first representative position of the first pointer and a second representative position of the region of interest within the image.
Advanced ultrasonic detection of different tissue types
A system includes a processor and, a computer-readable tangible storage device storing program instructions for execution by the processor. The program instructions include instructions for receiving ultrasonic derived data comprising an ultrasound image, representing a region of interest, and radio frequency “(RF”) data associated with the ultrasound image, and instructions for analyzing the RF data to identify at least one feature associated with a region of interest, including either or both of a feature representing a two-dimensional spectrum feature and a feature based on a cepstrum determined from the RF data. The program instructions further include instructions for classifying the region of interest as one of a plurality of anatomical classes from the identified at least one feature and causing a display to display the anatomical class.
Systems and Methods for Ultrasound Attenuation Coefficient Estimation
Ultrasound attenuation coefficient estimation (“ACE”) techniques that can ameliorate frequency power ratio curve oscillations caused by signal interferences, non-uniform tissue structures, or both, are described. The resulting smoothed frequency power ratio curves enable more accurate ACE and reduced region-of-interest (“ROl”) sizes for linear regression.
CONTRAST ENHANCED ULTRASOUND IMAGING WITH CHANGING SYSTEM OPERATION DURING WASH-IN, WASH-OUT
An ultrasound system acquires and displays contrast-enhanced ultrasound images as a bolus of contrast agent washes into and out of a region of interest in the body. During the wash-in, wash-out cycle the operation of the ultrasound system is changed to optimize system performance for different portions of the contrast cycle. The ultrasound transmission, receive signal processing, and image processing are among the operations of the ultrasound system which may be changed. The changes in system operation are invoked automatically at predetermined times or event occurrence during the wash-in, wash-out cycle.
Ultrasound imaging system, operating method of ultrasound imaging system, and computer-readable recording medium
Provided is an ultrasound imaging system configured to generate data of an ultrasound image based on an echo signal received by each of a plurality of elements included in an ultrasound transducer, the ultrasound imaging system includes: a determining circuit configured to determine, using a signal corresponding to the echo signal obtained by receiving from each of the plurality of elements, concerning the elements, whether a decrease in reception sensitivity occurs; and a control circuit configured to cause, based on a position of an element where the determining circuit determines that the decrease in the reception sensitivity occurs, a display to display at least one of display data indicating an image region where sensitivity decreases in the ultrasound image and information for informing that a sensitivity decreased element in which a decrease in reception sensitivity occurs is present.
Providing user interface in ultrasound system
There are provided embodiments for providing a user interface for performing a filtering process upon a vector Doppler image. In one embodiment, by way of non-limiting example, an ultrasound system comprises: a processing unit configured to form vector information of a target object based on ultrasound data corresponding to the target object and form a user interface for performing the filtering process upon the vector Doppler image based on the vector information.
ULTRASOUND IMAGING SYSTEM WITH A NEURAL NETWORK FOR DERIVING IMAGING DATA AND TISSUE INFORMATION
An ultrasound system according to some embodiments may include an ultrasound transducer configured to transmit ultrasound pulses toward tissue and generate echo signals responsive to the ultrasound pulses, a channel memory configured to store the echo signals, a beamformer configured to generated beamformed signals responsive to the echo signals, a neural network configured to receive one or more samples of the echo signals or the beamformed signals and produce a first type of ultrasound imaging data, and a processor configured to generate a second type of ultrasound imaging data, wherein the one or more processors may be further configured to generate an ultrasound image based on the first type of ultrasound imaging data and the second type of ultrasound imaging data and to cause a display communicatively coupled therewith to display the ultrasound image.
