Container with content monitoring and reporting capabilities
An activity monitor is associated with a container, such as a medication bottle, and includes one or more detectors configured to detect activity associated with the bottle, such as movement, opening and/or closing, and changes in volume and/or mass. The activity monitor may include alerting devices and be programmed with scheduling information. The activity monitor may also, or instead, communicate with one or more remote devices such as a user device or monitoring system, such as to receive programming information from those devices or to output activity information to those devices.
Pill dispensers, systems and/or methods
Pill dispenser devices, systems and methods are shown and/or described herein. Include are a method, device or system for pill delivery including disposing a pill at a known location; contacting the pill with a pick-up member; and, moving the pill from the known location by movement of the pick-up member.
Healthcare management services
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for a healthcare management service are provided.
COMPUTERIZED ORAL PRESCRIPTION ADMINISTRATION WITH REFILLABLE MEDICATION DISPENSING DEVICES AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Computerized oral prescription administration with refillable medication dispensing devices and associated systems and methods are provided. In one embodiment, a method of dispensing a substance to an intended user is provided. The method comprises receiving an input from a biometric sensor; determining, based on the received input, whether an intended user's unique biometric attribute is detected by the biometric sensor; receiving an input from an environmental sensor; determining, based on the received input, whether a mouthpiece is positioned within a user's mouth; receiving an input from a capacitive sensor array of the mouthpiece; determining, based on the received input, whether an intended user's unique dentition is positioned within a recess of the mouthpiece; and dispensing a substance from a reservoir to a mouth of the intended user in response to determining that the intended user's unique biometric attribute is detected by the biometric sensor.
MONITORING ADHERENCE TO A MEDICATION REGIMEN USING A SENSOR
A method and apparatus for monitoring and/or managing adherence to a medication regimen that involves use of a sensor. Dispensing medicine from a container commonly involves pressure being applied to the container, which results in expansion of the container. In some embodiments, pressure is applied by a user through an aperture of the apparatus. In some embodiments, a processor monitors pressure sensor data from a pressure sensor that is physically coupled to the container and arranged such that activation of the pressure sensor indicates the container has expanded in response to the user applying pressure. A processor analyzes the pressure sensor data to determine whether medicine has been dispensed from the container. A computer system can compare the dispensed medication to a planned medication regimen to determine a state of compliance with the medication regimen.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEDICATION MANAGEMENT
A method for managing medication, comprising the steps of: providing a server having databases, including a drug-to-drug interaction database, a drug-to-allergy interaction database, and a database of user profiles; detecting a current time of a first user, the first user being associated with a first user's profile within the database of user profiles, wherein the first user's profile comprises a medication list; providing a medication dispenser adapted to store and dispense medication associated with a first medication prescription of the medication list, the first medication prescription having a set of instructions for consumption by the first user; adding the first medication prescription to the first user's profile; implementing a reminder schedule according to the set of instructions and the current time detected; sending consumption reminder notifications to the first user according to the reminder schedule; and tracking adherence by the first user to the set of instructions.
Smart pill box and medical compliance monitoring
Methods and systems are described for monitoring medication use with a home automation system. An example medication monitoring system includes a medication storage device, a proximity device, and a dispenser module. The medication storage device is configured to hold a plurality of medications. The proximity device is configured to detect an activity of a user relative to the medication storage device. The dispense module is configured to detect a pattern of the activity based on data received from the proximity device, and generate a notice. The notice may be generated if the pattern is broken. The notice may include a summary report on usage of the medication storage device. The notice may include an alarm if the medication storage device is, for example, tampered with or moved.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ACTIVATION OF A DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a housing defining an interior space, a sensor, and a processor. The sensor is configured to sense an indication generated by a compute device. The indication can be at least one of a visual indication, an auditory indication, or a vibratory indication. The processor can be configured to determine whether to transition a lock status of the apparatus from locked to unlocked based on the indication sensed by the sensor. The processor can initiate a transition of the lock status from locked to unlocked upon determining to transition the lock status.
PROGRAMMABLE PILL DISPENSING DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
A programmable pill dispensing device, system, and methods are provided. A programmable pill dispensing device may be used to automatedly dispense a pill, such as a prescription medication, at a programmed predetermined time.
Biometrically locked medication bottle lid
A biometrically locked medication bottle lid including a bottle assembly, an alarm assembly and a lock assembly is disclosed herein. The bottle assembly includes a lid and a dispenser mechanism comprising a spring and a tray to dispense medicament. The alarm assembly includes a digital display that is attached to the front side of the bottle. A speaker and a light are also attached to the front side of the bottle and can be activated when an alarm is triggered indicating that it is time for a user to take their medication. The lock assembly includes a fingerprint sensor and a lock mechanism. The lock mechanism is actuated when the fingerprint sensor scans the fingerprint of the user.
