There is provided a medicine management system capable of checking a receipt status and a dosage stage of delivered medicines even at a delivery source. The medicine management system includes a management server for managing a receipt status and a dosage status of medicines to be delivered, a first terminal having a function of notifying the management server of information indicating receipt of medicines when the medicines have been received, a second terminal having a function of notifying the management server of information indicating dosage of medicines when the medicines have been taken, and a third terminal having a function of acquiring from the management server and displaying information on a receipt status and a dosage status of medicines.

A medication-taking support device that has no possibility of a pill case being left outside the medication-taking support device even if the pill case ejected outside a casing is not received by a user is provided. The medication-taking support device includes a cassette (25) that stores medicine-containing pill cases in such a manner that the pill cases are stacked on top of one another, a push-out mechanism (30) that pushes out the pill case on a lowermost tier in the cassette (25) by a predetermined dimension, and a pull-back mechanism (32) that pulls back the pill case remaining on the lowermost tier without being extracted from the cassette (25) into the cassette (25).

An automated medication dosing and dispensing system includes sensors to detect physical movement of a user; storage media with program instructions; and a processor. The program instructions cause the processor to: detect, based on analysis of sensor readings obtained from the sensors, occurrences of gesture-based physical behavior events; store historical event information corresponding to the detected occurrences; process the stored historical event information to predict a future occurrence of a physical behavior event of interest; and adjust medication dosage and/or medication dispensing parameters in response to the predicted future occurrence of the physical behavior event of interest.

Pairs of light emitters and light receivers are used to detect medication and a processing unit for receiving output signals of the light receivers is used together with a communications module for transmitting a status signal of the pill box.

One or more device control-files can be generated to control, limit and track a computer device using a device control-file watchdog program. The system sets limits on the computer device to ensure the user operating the computer device stays within a restricted set of usage limitations. The device control-file watchdog program protects the one or more device control-files and additionally can report on all activities performed by the computer device to the central database.
