A medication support apparatus includes a container, a medicine distribution member, a port, a take-out device, and a transfer device. The container is configured to store one-dose packages of medicines. The medicine distribution member includes a plurality of partitions configured to separately include the one-dose packages of medicines. The medicine distribution member is configured to enter and exit the medication support apparatus through the port. The take-out device is configured to take out a specific one of the one-dose packages of medicines from the container. The transfer device is configured to transfer the specific one of the one-dose packages of medicines taken out from the container. The one-dose packages of medicines are configured to be placed at predetermined positions partitioned by the plurality of partitions in the medicine distribution member.

An automated method is provided for recording contents of medication packages vended from a plurality of vending machines in electronic records, such as an electronic medication administration record (eMAR), that store records for a plurality of patients who are associated with respective vending machines. A vending event causes the electronic record to be populated. The contents of the medication packages vended from the vending machines are recorded in electronic records without communicating patient names or vended medications in the electronic message sent from the vending machines.

A medication support device includes a container to store a plurality of medicine packs, a medicine dispenser in which a specific one of the plurality of medicine packs is arranged to a prescribed position, a pickup device to pick up a specific one of the plurality of medicine packs from the container, a conveyor to convey the specific one of the plurality of medicine packs picked up from the container, a medication-related information reader to read medication-related information of the plurality of medicine packs including at least a name of a patient who takes a medicine and a time of medication, a pack data management system to manage the medication-related information of the plurality of medicine packs, and a medicine dispensing data management system to read and manage medicine dispensing data including at least the name of the patient who takes the medicine and the time of medication.

A medication vending device is integrated into systems that ensure compliance with a medication dosing schedule of a patient. The medication vending device contains medication packages to be vended in accordance with the patient's dosing schedule. The system can check for prescription changes that occurred between the date of generation of the medication packages and the date of loading the medication packages into the medication vending device, and provide appropriate alert messages to inhibit loading of the medication packages into the medication vending device. A medication dispensing apparatus includes a housing for at storing at least one medication in bulk, a dispenser, and a verification sensor. The at least one medication including a plurality of doses of the at least one medication. The dispenser separates a single dose from the at least one medication in bulk. The dispenser moves the single dose of the at least one medication from a position within the housing to a position outside the housing. The verification sensor verifies that the at least one medication is a correct medication.

The method comprises obtaining data about a user, wherein the data comprises a prescription of a medication to be administered to the user. A user context data is calculated for the user. An intervention and timing thereof are determined for the user based on the user context. The determination may be performed using a prediction model that is trained with respect to a cohort, wherein the user is a member of the cohort. The intervention is implemented on the user at the determining timing of the intervention.
