Medicine injection device
In a medicament dispensing device (1), when a medicament preparation-containing syringe (11) is replaced, a microprocessor (23) detects the time at which the replacement is performed as the time of the start of use of the preparation, and counts the elapsed time after the use of the preparation has started. Then, the microprocessor (23) notifies the result of the counting by a LCD (10), etc. to the user. Also, the microprocessor (23) detects that a syringe needle for dispensing the preparation has been mounted, and after detecting the mounting of the syringe needle, the microprocessor (23) counts the elapsed time after the start of use of the preparation. When an effective use period has expired, the microprocessor (23) issues a message in a step S17 that the effective period of a medicament has expired.
MEDICATION COMPLIANCE METHODS, DEVICES, AND SYSTEMS
Provided herein are medication tracking and securement devices, systems, platforms, and methods configured to be used with or in place of commercial standard medicine bottles. The wireless tracking and communications elements of the present disclosure are configured to prevent medication theft, overdosing, medication loss, and prescription noncompliance.
Systems, devices, and/or methods for managing medicaments
Certain exemplary embodiments can provide a device, which can comprise a pill reservoir, a first layer, and a chamber. The first layer comprises an inclined entry passage open to the pill reservoir and an exit passage open to a dispense passage. A portion of the chamber layer can travel linearly in close communication within a tubular shaped portion of the first layer.
Programmable, refillable medication package with scheduled metered dispensing
A programmable, refillable medication dispenser with scheduled metered medication unit dispensing, includes a main housing, a powered CPU with countdown timer, a multi-unit medication removable refillable cartridge with a (first) lock, a medication release control gate, e.g., a toggle, positioned at a medication outlet and connected to a (second) lock being a gate control mechanism. A pharmacist will insert a medicine cartridge into the main housing, locking it in, and will program the CPU to permit a patient to activate dispensing according to a predetermined schedule such that when medication dispensing is permitted, the patient dispensing control component may be activated and the gate mechanism may be activated for dispensing, and when medication dispensing is prohibited, the gate control mechanism cannot be activated. Thus, a patient may then receive the dispenser and activate medication dispensing according to the programmed schedule.
Personalized medication dispenser
A personalized medication dispenser, including a main body to store medication therein, the main body including a first end having a base, and a second end having an aperture through which the medication is extracted and a cap to prevent the medication from being extracted from the aperture of the second end, the cap including a top portion, including a biometric scanner disposed on a surface of the top portion to scan biometric information of a user, a controller disposed within the top portion to determine whether the biometric information is from authorized user, and a medication receiving compartment disposed within the top portion to receive the medication in response to the determination that the scanned biometric information is from the authorized user, a bottom portion to be at least partially inserted within the aperture of the second end, and a manual slide disposed between the top portion and the bottom portion to slide to an open position in response to the determination that the scanned biometric information is from the authorized user, such that the medication is received in the medication receiving compartment when the manual slide is in the open position.
Medication compliance platforms, systems, and devices
Provided herein are medication tracking and securement devices, systems, platforms, and methods configured to be used with or in place of commercial standard medicine bottles. The wireless tracking and communications elements of the present disclosure are configured to prevent medication theft, overdosing, medication loss, and prescription noncompliance.
INTELLIGENT MEDICINE DISPENSER
An article dispensing apparatus includes a carousel and an upper casing with a dispensing face including a dispensing orifice through which the articles are dispensed. The carousel includes plural holding sections for holding the articles to be dispensed and is rotationally movable. A controller controls application of a force to cause the carousel to rotate relative to the dispensing face when an instruction to dispense an article is received. When the carousel is moved so that one of its holding sections having an article therein is aligned with the dispensing orifice, the article is allowed to be dispensed therethrough. A locking mechanism selectively engages the carousel to prevent any relative movement of the carousel when the article dispensing unit is not mounted on the main housing and disengages from the carousel to allow intended relative movement when the article dispensing unit is mounted on the main housing.
Tablet and capsule dispensing assembly
A tablet and capsule dispensing assembly, comprising a case including an inner circumferential surface having a first plurality of teeth a tablet disc having a plurality of tablets disposed circumferentially thereon, the tablet disc arranged to rotate within the case, and a lock arranged to engage with the first plurality of teeth to prevent rotation of the tablet disc in a first rotational direction during a first predetermined time interval.
Adaptor for coupling with a medical container
An adaptor for coupling with a vial having a collar closed by a septum, the septum having an outer surface directed towards the outside of the vial, the adaptor comprising: a gripping member for securing the adaptor to the vial, the gripping member being capable of being laterally mounted on the collar of the vial and a pierceable elastomeric piece having at least a part intended to be in contact with the outer surface of the septum when the adaptor is secured on the vial. Also, an assembly including such an adaptor and a vial.
Home medication manager
A home medication management system and method are provided comprise a home medication management device, a computing device associated with a user of medication management system, and a server in communication with the home medication management device and the computing device. The server comprises memory storing an application program interface (API) that is configured to manage the home medication of a patient including the registration of prescriptions, transmission of the registered prescriptions to the home medication management device, association of medications of the registered prescriptions with recesses of the home medication management device, presentation of alerts to the patient at scheduled times to take the medications based on the prescriptions, monitoring the patient for compliance with the alerts, determining whether the patient has taken the medication as scheduled, and presenting the determination to the user via the computing device.
