Feeding device and methods using the same
Briefly, a feeding device embodying features of the present invention approximately conforms to the shape of a human breast and includes at least one housing for storing fluid coupled to a dispensing portion having an apertured dispensing tip for delivering the fluid to an infant.
Feeding device
A breastfeeding device is disclosed comprising a nipple, a housing, and one or more adjustable straps. The nipple is removably coupled to an amorphous liquid bag via a nozzle assembly. The housing comprises a protuberant portion having a first aperture, a back portion, and one or more fasteners. The protuberant portion and the back portion are removably attached to one another and form an interior cavity. The one or more fasteners are configured to removably attach the a protuberant portion to the back portion. The nipple is insertable into the first aperture of the protuberant portion and protrudes through the first aperture while the amorphous liquid bag remains within the interior cavity. The one or more adjustable straps are attached to the back portion.
SIMULATED BREAST FEEDING SYSTEM
The breastfeeding device present in the invention, simulates natural breastfeeding experience and delivers fluid, milk or infant formula to the nursing infant in a contactless or latch free manner than any prior art in this field. This device integrates physical sensors to the breastfeeding device and includes a neck strap, refillable housing chamber that contains fluid, a tubing that connects the housing chamber to a prosthetic nipple via a sealing attachment and a prosthetic nipple for infant latching to nurse. The invention is a notable step forward in creating an effective, safe and contactless nursing which mitigates and prevents bruised, sore nipples or engorged breasts.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MEASURING LIQUID CONSUMPTION DURING INFANT FEEDING
A device for measuring in real time the volume of a partially upturned bottle has a sleeve that extends around the upturned bottle with an open distal end and a closed proximal end. An accelerometer in the device determines the vertical direction and the angle between the vertical direction and the longitudinal axis of the bottle. Another accelerometer measures the force exerted by the bottle in the direction of the longitudinal axis. These parameters are used to calculate the total mass and volume of the upturned bottle. A dimmable screen displays the total mass, total volume, change in mass and/or change in volume.
RESERVOIR AND FEEDING SYSTEM FOR USE WITH BREAST PUMPS
A breast milk storage and delivery system including: a breast attachment configured to receive a supply of breast milk; a reservoir operatively connected to the breast attachment interface, the reservoir having: an inlet end, the inlet end having an attachment mechanism configured to receive milk supplied to the reservoir from the breast attachment interface; a reservoir portion having an internal volume for storing a portion of pumped breast milk; and a delivery end, the delivery end including an outlet, and an outlet attachment mechanism; and a nipple, the nipple being operatively connected to the outlet attachment mechanism of the reservoir.

Apparatus for feeding an infant in a vertical position
An apparatus for feeding an infant in a vertical position is described. The apparatus includes a shoulder support component and a flexible component. The shoulder support component generally has a U-shape with a first side disposed opposite a second side. The second side of the shoulder support component is configured to contact shoulders of a caregiver. The flexible component has a first end disposed opposite a second end. The first end of the flexible component is affixed to the first side of the shoulder support component and the second end includes a bottle holding portion that supports a bottle for feeding an infant in a vertical position.
Apparatus, device, and method for infant gavage feeding
The disclosure includes embodiments of an apparatus, a device, and methods to transform an infant feeding bottle into an infant gavage feeding apparatus. According to an embodiment, an infant gavage feeding apparatus can include an infant feeding bottle, a gavage milk delivery component, a retaining ring, and a cord component. In another embodiment, infant milk dual-delivery device to transform an infant feeding bottle to an alternate nipple feeding and gavage feeding apparatus includes a gavage milk delivery component, a retaining ring, and a nipple receiving component. The gavage milk delivery component and the nipple receiving component can be positioned in a branched or a stacked configuration. The device can include a flow closure component and a controller to transition the milk flow for a gavage feeding and nipple feeding. The device can include a funnel to allow milk in the nipple to flow back into the infant feeding bottle.
Flow warning baby bottle holder
Baby bottle holder that warns of the poor flow of a baby bottle with teat, bottle bottom teat ring offering up/down maintenance of the baby bottle and a lateral maintenance (45) of the baby bottle which prevents the baby bottle from getting out of his up/down maintenance and which provides a gripping surface to hold the bottle holder characterized in that the bottle holder (40) holds the bottle up and down from top on the upper face of the screwing ring (10) and from the base on the bottom, the bottle holder comprises a weight sensor (42) which captures the weight exerted by the upper face of the screwing ring (10), a weight sensor which senses the weight exerted on the side wall (41) of the bottle, a weight sensor (43) which senses the weight exerted on the bottom of the baby bottle, an inclinometer which senses the inclination of the baby bottle, an accelerometer that senses the vibration of the baby bottle and therefore of the teat, a transceiver module that transmits the data wireless to a remote terminal, a visual, audible or vibrating alarm that restitutes an alarm to the parent.
Baby Feeding Kit
A baby feeding kit operational in syringe mode, storage mode, feed-bottle mode, and feed-tube mode. The kit includes a container body, a plunger, an attachable nipple, an attachable cap and a feeding tube.
The container body includes a tube portion defining a cavity for holding a liquid having therein, a wide opening disposed at one end and a narrow opening disposed at an opposite end. The plunger removably and sealingly fits inside the cavity and slidably move there along when the container is in a syringe mode, and seals the tube portion when the container is in a storage mode. The attachable nipple sealingly attaches to the wide opening for releasing a liquid held in the container body when sucked on when the container is in a feed-bottle mode in which the plunger is removed, and for pressurizing fluids when the container is in a feed-tube mode, and is removed when the container is in a syringe or storage mode. The attachable cap seals the narrow opening of the container when in storage or in feed-bottle mode. The feeding tube sealingly attaches to the narrow opening for releasing a liquid held in the container body when the container is in a feed-tube mode.
