ULTRASOUND SYSTEM WITH DYNAMICALLY AUTOMATED DOPPLER FLOW SETTINGS AS A SAMPLE VOLUME IS MOVED
20190015078 · 2019-01-17 ·

An ultrasound system performs duplex colorflow and spectral Doppler imaging, with the spectral Doppler interrogation performed at a sample volume location shown on the colorflow image. The colorflow image is displayed in a color box overlaid on a co-registered B mode image. A color box position and steering angle processor analyzes the spatial Doppler data and automatically sets the color box angle and location over a blood vessel for optimal Doppler sensitivity and accuracy. The processor may also automatically set the flow angle correction cursor in alignment with the direction of flow. In a preferred embodiment these optimization adjustments are made automatically and continuously as a user pauses at points for Doppler measurements along a length of the blood vessel.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ACCELERATED CLUTTER FILTERING IN ULTRASOUND BLOOD FLOW IMAGING USING RANDOMIZED ULTRASOUND DATA

Described here are systems and methods for ultrasound clutter filtering to produce images of blood flow in a subject. In general, the clutter filtering is based on a singular value implementation, such as an accelerated singular value decomposition (SVD). In one example, the singular value-based clutter filtering can be accelerated by implementing a randomized SVD (rSVD). In another example, the singular value-based clutter filtering can be accelerated by implementing a randomized spatial downsampling. In still another example, singular value-based clutter filtering can be accelerated by implementing both an rSVD and a randomized spatial downsampling.

System for obtaining 3D images of a flowing region beneath an object using speckle reflections

A method for imaging a flowing media within static regions includes obtaining a plurality of signals using the speckle properties of the flowing media. The plurality of signals are compared to one another such as by subtraction. The static regions are removed from the plurality of signals by the comparison. The remaining signals are combined (such as by summing) to produce an image of the flowing media.

ULTRASOUND SYSTEM FOR CEREBRAL BLOOD FLOW IMAGING AND MICROBUBBLE-ENHANCED BLOOD CLOT LYSIS

An ultrasonic diagnostic imaging system is described which utilizes one or more transducer arrays affixed to the head of a patient to diagnose and treat stroke victims. The transducer headset produces a two or three dimensional image of the vasculature inside the cranium, preferably assisted by a microbubble contrast agent. A vascular flow map is produced by the system which may be diagnosed for signs of a blood clot. If a blood clot is detected, a therapeutic beam is transmitted while the contrast agent is present to break up the blood clot by the disruption of microbubbles. The headset may also be used in a monitoring application to detect the recurrence of blood clots in a stroke victim.

Systems and methods for color Doppler imaging in an ultrasound imaging system are disclosed herein. An ultrasound imaging system includes color Doppler imaging circuitry. The color Doppler imaging circuitry is configured to estimate flow parameters. The imaging circuitry includes a radio frequency (RF) demodulator configured to produce in-phase and quadrature components of an ultra-sound data vector. The RF demodulator includes a table in memory that stores interleaved sine and cosine values. The RF demodulator maintains an index value for the table having higher precision than is used to index the table. The RF demodulator rounds the index value for each access of the table. Each table access retrieves a sine value and a cosine value.
