System for recognizing trailer of vehicle and method thereof
A trailer recognition device of a vehicle includes: a sensor sensing a distance value between the vehicle and a rear object; a controller detecting whether a trailer is connected, depending on an internal signal of the vehicle and the distance value and predicting a first hitch angle based on a vehicle model and a second hitch angle based on the sensor to generate a control signal; and a trailer mode controller controlling a trailer mode of the vehicle in response to the control signal.
ULTRASONIC SENSOR
An ultrasonic sensor includes an adhesion sensor detecting adhesion of a foreign substance to a first surface of a bottom of a microphone housing. The adhesion sensor includes: a plurality of variable capacitances defined between a plurality of sensor electrodes disposed on the first surface of the bottom, each of the variable capacitances having a capacitance value which changes in response to adhesion of a foreign substance to the first surface; and an adhesion detection unit configured to measure an individual capacitance value which is a capacitance value of each of the variable capacitances and a total capacitance value which is a total of capacitance values of all the variable capacitances to determine, based on the individual capacitance value and the total capacitance value, whether a foreign substance adheres to the first surface, and, when it is determined that a foreign substance adheres, specify a type of the foreign sub stance.
Sensor apparatus for vehicle
A sensor apparatus for a vehicle includes a protector, a holder, and a sensor. The protector is inserted into an insertion hole of a deck of the vehicle. The protector includes protector hooks formed thereon. The holder is inserted into the insertion hole and coupled to the protector so as to be constrained by the protector hooks. The holder includes holder hooks formed so as to be hooked to an inner surface of the deck. The sensor is coupled to the holder.
ULTRASONIC SENSOR
An ultrasonic sensor includes an adhesion sensor including a variable capacitance and a fixed capacitance. The variable capacitance includes a sensor electrode provided on a first surface of a bottom having a microphone installed thereon and a capacitance value thereof changes in accordance with adhesion of foreign matter on the first surface. The fixed capacitance includes a first electrode connected to the sensor electrode, and a second electrode provided on a member different from a microphone housing and disposed facing the first electrode. The adhesion sensor further includes an adhesion detecting section that is connected to the sensor electrode via the fixed capacitance and detects adhesion of foreign matter to the first surface by supplying an alternating-current signal to the fixed capacitance and the variable capacitance.
Time of flight and code signature detection for coded ultrasonic transmission
In an ultrasonic detection system that uses frequency-modulation or phase-modulation coding to distinguish emitted bursts from multiple transducers, a receiver associated with a transducer uses peak search, peak buffer, and peak rank stages in one or more receiver signal processing paths to identify valid received ultrasonic signal envelope peaks in correlator outputs. The peak rank stage can support different modes respectively designed to handle one code, two or more codes, or two or more codes with support for Doppler frequency shift detection. Valid peak information (e.g., amplitude and time) can be reported to a central controller and/or stored locally in a fusion stage to generate more intelligent information for targets or obstacles using peaks from multiple bursts.
CHECKING THE POSITIONING OF AN ULTRASONIC SENSOR ON A VEHICLE
A method for checking the positioning of an ultrasonic sensor installed in a mounting on the vehicle is disclosed. The method involves localizing a reference object in the detection region of the ultrasonic sensor, emitting at least one first ultrasonic pulse with a first ultrasonic frequency, receiving at least one first echo signal at the first ultrasonic frequency, emitting at least one second ultrasonic pulse with a second ultrasonic frequency, receiving at least one second echo signal at the second ultrasonic frequency, ascertaining the ratio of echo amplitudes of the reference object in the at least one first and second echo signal, and outputting an incorrect positioning of the ultrasonic sensor if the ratio of echo amplitudes in the reference object in the at least one first and second echo signal deviates from the ratio for a correct positioning of the ultrasonic sensor by at least one specified threshold.
Object detection device
An object detection device includes: a transmission unit transmitting a first transmission wave; a reception unit receiving a first reception wave reflected by an object; a signal processing unit sampling a first processing target signal according to the first reception wave and acquiring a difference signal based on a difference between the first processing target signal for at least one sample at a certain detection timing, and the first processing target signal for a plurality of samples in at least one of first and second periods; a threshold setting unit setting a threshold as a comparison target with the value of the difference signal, based on variation in the values of the first processing target signal for the plurality of samples; and a detection unit detecting information about the object at the detection timing based on a comparison result between the value of the difference signal and the threshold.
Object detection device
An object detection device includes: a wave receiver that receives a reflected wave generated by reflection, by an object, of a transmission wave incident on the object; a determination section that determines whether, in a change over time in an amplitude of the reflected wave received by the wave receiver, an amplitude of a falling portion is greater than a predetermined criterion, the amplitude of the falling portion being decreased after the amplitude has reached a maximum value; and a processing section that, on the basis of a determination by the determination section that the amplitude of the falling portion is greater than the predetermined criterion, performs a process in which the object is treated as an object to be avoided.
Method for calibrating ultrasonic transducers and system for carrying out the method
A method for calibrating ultrasonic transducers, the ultrasonic transducers being situated at known distances or at known ratios of the distances from one another, preferably in a bumper of a motor vehicle, and one of the ultrasonic transducers is operated in a transmission mode, and at least one other ultrasonic transducer is operated in a receiving mode.
Method and device for identifying the height of an object
A device and method for identifying a position of an object uses a comparison value is calculated based on a first distance and first angle measured by a first distance sensor. This value is compared with a second distance or a second angle measured by a second distance sensor. Based on the result of the comparison, it is concluded whether the object is located above or below a predefined height over a first sensor plane in which the first distance sensor is situated. An angle of greater than zero degrees is situated in this case between a first sensor axis of the first distance sensor and a second sensor axis of the second distance sensor.
